Prologue

Herobrine's POV

I stared at netherrack walls that made up my lair. I couldn't stop thinking about Steve, if he was going to actually come, and how to kill him. I heard the door open behind me. It was Destiny.

"Herobrine!" she shouted. "He's coming."

"In that case, set up the cage," I commanded. "I will bring the prisoners out and put them in."

A small squeal erupted from the bundle Destiny was holding. It was my child! I had been so focused on Steve that I forgot to check on her.

I felt my tense muscles relax as I went over to coo at the baby.

"What are we going to do with the baby if something goes wrong?" Destiny asked me.

"Nothing will go wrong," I reassured her. "Because Steve will willingly die for me. It will go according to plan. Plus, I'll kill his friends eventually."

I smirked. His weak little friends will die soon enough.

"Which reminds me..." I muttered.

"I'll be right back," I said to Destiny.

She nodded and I departed my room. I walked over to the chambers where Steve's friends were being kept. They were nervously whispering to each other, and their eyes widened when they saw me approaching.

I walked into the cell and raised my fist into the air. They scooted back frantically, worried expressions covering their faces. I knocked them out, one by one. They fell to the ground. I picked their bodies up and carried them to the cage that Destiny set up and locked them in.

"This is going perfectly to plan," I smirked.

Destiny's POV (Later in the day)

I stood in my daughter's room protectively and cradled her in my arms. Herobrine left for the real world already. I wanted to go, but then nobody would be there to watch her.

I was pretty sure that nobody was here in the castle to harm us. I walked over to her cradle and set her down in it. Suddenly, I heard footsteps. I turned myself invisible. Nervousness spread through my body.

It could just be the guards, going to get the weapons from this room, I reassured myself.

But I don't think the guards could make footsteps as human as the ones being made now. Two boys burst through the door. I recognized one of them as Snapp. The other one I've never seen before.

How did they escape? I thought, panicked.

"Now, we just need a few swords and a bow with a bunch of arrows," Snapp said. "Are you sure you don't want a sword too, Hayden? It's much easier to use than a bow."

"No, I'm sure," Hayden said. "I'm more experienced with bows."

I decided the only way to get rid of them and protect my baby was to fight them and kill them. Still invisible, I crept over close to where they were standing and started making a big fireball.

This ought to do the trick, I thought to myself.

I threw the fireball. Ashton's eyes widened in alarm.

"Hayden, look out!" he yelled in alarm.

Hayden, rummaging through Herobrine's weapon chest said, "What are you talking about?"

Then he decided to look up to see the fireball flying right towards him. He yelped and dived out of the way.

I decided to turn visible again so they could see my face before they died. I did that, and when they saw me, their faces were painted with terror. I laughed at their fear of me.

"You again!" Snapp said.

I could tell Hayden didn't recognize me.

"You humans are just too hard to get rid of!" I said.

I threw another fireball at them.

Ashton started charging at me with his sword.

"Well, it may be due to how good we can fight back!" he yelled.

And before I knew it, a sword was going into my body. I crumpled to the ground, breathing heavily.

I have failed to protect my baby. My breathing slowed, and my eyes started closing, and the world as I knew it shut down.

Herobrine's POV

Finally, I made it into the human world! I as I walked in, I ordered my monsters to go attack every house and human they see. After that, it was pure chaos. And I liked it. A lot.

One of my monsters ran over to me.

"Herobrine!" he said. "I have terrible news."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Destiny is dead," he told me carefully.

It took a second for those words to sink in. The love of my life was no longer living. Dead. Deceased.

Then, it didn't take to long for my emotions to show.

"NO!" I yelled.

I punched the creeper. It fell to the ground and exploded, knocking me backward. I lie on the ground, feeling heartbreak and sadness. But then something big hit me.

What about my daughter?
