Chapter Five
Hayden's POV
Wow. That building is huge. I thought, staring up at HQ.
I looked at Krystal, and her mouth was shaped in an big O.
"Will we be sleeping here?" she asked.
"I doubt it," I said. "It's an office, not a hotel."
"Okay. So where do we go from here?"
"Probably inside."
The taxi driver handed us our luggage.
I completely forgot about that. I realized.
I thanked him for assisting us, and placed Krystal's suitcase in front of her. She was still gaping at the building. I snapped my fingers in front of her face. "Wake up!"
She flinched. "Sorry. I'm just still processing the fact that I'm here. It's so... amazing."
"Yeah."
I grabbed my bag and started heading inside.
"Are you okay?" Krystal asked me. "You seem like something's bothering you."
The truth is, Krystal was right. Something was bothering me.
"I..." I started to say, but then stopped myself. She wouldn't understand, even if she was my friend.
"It's nothing," I said finally.
What really was bothering me was the nightmare I had last time I slept.
But you usually have nightmares, I reminded myself. It's not like it's new.
I mean, if you got possessed once, wouldn't you?
Krystal raised an eyebrow. "Okay... well, you can tell me if there's anything wrong."
"Okay."
We were silent for the rest of the time. When we arrived at the doors, I set my suitcase down and held the door open for Krystal.
"What a gentleman," she joked.
I cracked a smile and walked in the building.
In the entrance, there was a stage and a bunch of chairs set up. Eighteen exactly. A few teens occupied it already.
I dragged my suitcase down and set it down right by a row of empty chairs. Krystal followed and sat down in a chair next to me.
She turned towards me, face in a grin. "You excited?"
"Yeah," I replied. "Really excited. I've always wanted to know what the Mojang offices looked like and meet the workers in person."
I then felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hi, Hayden."
Krystal's POV
"Yeah," he replied. "Really excited. I've always wanted to know what the Mojang offices looked like and meet the workers in person."
I opened my mouth to say something more, but then Vivian came in and interrupted me.
"Hi, Hayden," she said sweetly, turned and shot a quick glare at me and turned back to Hayden.
Hayden didn't seem to notice.
"Uh, hi," he said.
She put on a sweet smile and dived into a conversation with him.
What a jerk, I thought.
Then I decided to accept that Vivian stole Hayden for the remainder of the time.
I'll probably talk to him once we get to wherever we sleep, I thought.
Then I heard someone plop down next to me. I turned around to see a girl with brown hair and green eyes, that was pretty tall. She looked like she wanted to collapse on the ground and start sleeping, like I did.
"Hello," I greeted her.
"Hi," she replied. "You tired? I sure am."
I nodded solemnly. "Oh yeah. When I get to the hotel, I'm gonna just fall on the bed and start sleeping. I'm saving unpacking for tomorrow."
"Same here," she said. "I'm DJ, by the way. You?"
"Krystal."
She grinned at me, then a familiar figure walked on the stage, causing all of the rest of the teens to burst into a loud cheer.
I clapped as well, trying to remember who that person was.
The man grabbed the microphone. "Hello, fellow gamers!"
We all cheered again.
"I'm so happy you all made it," he continued. "We are going to have a lot of fun this summer, right?"
Everyone cheered once again.
"Just in case you didn't recognize me, I'm Markus Perrson, but most of you here call me Notch," he said.
So that's who he was! I thought.
I then clapped with the other teens.
"I would do a presentation of what we will do this summer," Notch said. "But you must be so exhausted, most of you here came all the way from America! So I will now be reading the names of the suites you will be staying in."
He picked up a list and studied it for a second. Then he started announcing suites.
"Suite 703 teens will be... Ethan, Dale, Elizabeth, Vivian, Jay and Lee. 703 teens, head to the exit and hop in the bus waiting for you."
Vivian looked disappointed, and reluctantly got up and carried her bag away to the exit.
"Now, the suite 704 teens will be... Sarah, Seth, Bella, Megan, Darren and DJ."
"Which DJ?" came a male voice from the crowd.
Notch pointed the DJ that was sitting next to me.
"That's me," DJ said. "I'll see you later, Krystal."
"Bye," I said.
Now it was just me and Hayden.
"I hope we're in the same room," I whispered.
"I'm sure we are," he said. "Notch is calling the last group."
"True," I said.
"The final suite 705, and the teens that will be in there are Shannon, DJ, Luna, Hayden, Krystal and Lexus."
Luna and Hayden! I thought. Wow... this must be my lucky day.
I stood up, but then noticed that only five people including me were standing. Where was the sixth?
My question was answered when a boy burst through the front door, panting.
"I'm Lexus," he said. "Sorry I'm late."

Haha... I bet some of you thought it was over. I did consider stopping it here, but since I haven't updated in FOREVER, I'm going to continue it. I'm so nice... :) Well, keep reading!
"Hello, Lexus," Notch said. "I just called your group. These people standing here are going to share a hotel room with you."
"Okay," he said.
My group started heading out, so I grabbed my bag and followed them. Hayden caught up to me and started chatting with me.
"Hey Krystal," he said. "What's up?"
"Tired," I said. "Can't wait to sleep... also, you wanna share a room?"
"Sure," he said. "If that's possible."
"I bet it is," I said.
We kept walking until we found the bus. I got on and found a seat next to Hayden.
"I'm going to rest here," I told him.
"Krystal, the hotel's about five minutes away."
"Well, that's five minutes more of sleep."
I closed my eyes and fell into a dreamless nap.
••••••••••••••••••••••
I woke up to Hayden tapping me.
"We're here," he said. "You feel any better?"
"Five minutes really makes a difference," I said. "I feel awake."
"It was actually twenty minutes."
"Oh. That explains a lot."
I stretched my arms, grabbed my bag and stood up to leave the bus. I got out of it, and Hayden followed.
We entered the hotel, and a person who appeared to work there greeted us.
"You must be the Mojang kids," he said.
The whole group nodded.
"Right this way," he said.
The worker led us to our suite. I followed, not expecting what I was in for. When he opened the door to the room, I gasped. The room was super nice, with a living room, flat screen TV, kitchen and three bedrooms.
"In the bedrooms there are two large beds to sleep in," the worker explained. "I hope you enjoy your stay here for the rest of the summer!"
"Thanks," I said.
The worker left us to enjoy the room. Without any words said, we all raced to the bedrooms to claim them. Hayden and I scrambled over to the room on the right before anyone could even take a step in it. I threw my bag on the bed to claim my position. Then, I rummaged through my bag and found the pajamas I wanted to wear. It was a Minecraft T-shirt with long, flannel pants. I walked over to the bathroom that was connected to my room and changed. When I was done, I saw that Hayden was in his PJs too.
"Nice shirt," he said.
"You like it?" I said. "I packed it for this occasion. By the way, I like yours too."
Hayden's shirt had a band on it called "Coldplay". Huh. I never knew Hayden was the musical type.
He yawned. "I'm tired. We should get to bed."
I agreed, and hopped in my bed. Hayden switched off the lights and got in bed as well.
"Goodnight," he said.
"Night."
I lay down on the bed, but landed on an uncomfortable spot. I kept rolling over, trying to go to sleep. I then figured I was restless, so I decided to read a book until I felt relaxed enough to go to sleep. I pulled out the book, "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" and used my phone flashlight to provide a reading light.
I relaxed my muscles and got engaged in the story immediately.
After what seemed like 30 minutes, I started hearing noises. They were murmurs, and they were starting to creep me out. I listened closely, and made out the phrase, "Help me." I decided to ignore it, but it started getting louder, with panting included.
Where the heck is that coming from? I wondered.
I got out of my bed, and quietly walked around the room in search of the noise. It seemed louder on Hayden's side of the room, so I investigated there.
Maybe it's coming from Hayden, I thought.
I quietly walked towards his bed and listened. Sure enough, he was sleep talking, panting and sweating.
He must be having a nightmare.
I decided to wake him up for the good of both of us. I shook him, and he woke with a gasp.
"Krystal!" he whispered- yelled. "You scared me to death!"
"Are you okay?" I asked him. "You were sleep talking, panting and sweating."
"I'm fine," he said, although he still looked pretty shaken up.
"Okay," I said. "Well, goodnight again."
"Goodnight."
I walked over to my bed, plopped on it and fell asleep.
