It was a Saturday, but Mrs. Su told her dance students to come to school so she could figure out competition arrangements. So Mei went downstairs and Eunho was resting in the kitchen.

"Mei, I didn't know you would be up so early or I would've made you breakfast." He said.

"Don't worry about it, Eunho. My dance teacher is feeding me."

"Why are you leaving on a Saturday, exactly?"

"Our dance competition is coming up," she began. "And Mrs. Su wants her dance students to go up to the school so we can figure out competition arrangements."

He nodded his head, so she grabbed her things and headed to school. When Mei got there, Mrs. Su was at the front waiting for someone.

"Good morning Mrs. Su." The girl greeted with a smile.

"Mei, just the student I was looking for!" Mrs. Su smiled.

"Why's that?" She asked, tilting her head.

"You're my main dancer, so I want you to help me with choreography for competition," she said. "I told you and my main male dancer to be here at eight, but everyone else will be here at ten."

The girl tilted her head. "Who's your main male dancer?"

"Minghao."

She bit the inside of her cheek and nodded. Mrs. Su unlocked the doors and headed to the dance room. Mei began moving things around so that everyone would have more room, and eventually, the door opened and in walked Minghao.

"Good morning, Mrs. Su," he greeted. "Good morning, Mei."

She smiled at the boy. "Good morning, Minghao."

"Since you guys are my main dancers, you're going to help me choreograph four dances. A duo dance that the leaders will perform, a female group dance led by the female leader, a male group dance led by the male leader, and a whole group dance. Most of the songs will be hip hop, so they'll need to be more upbeat." She explained.

"Sounds fun." Mei replied.

Minghao nodded his head and smiled at her, and she couldn't help but return the smile. Mrs. Su walked off and left the two alone, so she turned and made eye contact with him.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" She asked, rather bluntly. "I thought you hated me?"

"I did, but I realized there was no way you could've ever been mean to anyone in your life." He said, referring to what Jaehwa said.

"How do you know," she paused to think for a second. "That I know about that?"

He laughed. "Kino's not very good at whispering."

Mei smiled at his cute laugh before responding. "I didn't even know who Jaehwa was until my first day here. And for your information, I can be mean."

He nodded sarcastically, mouthing "sure" as Mrs. Su came back in with waters. "Alright kids, lets get to work."

The two began working on choreography, working for a good two hours before other people started showing up. The two main dancers sat at a table at the back of the room, while the other students sat on the floor.

"Good morning kids, thank you all for showing up this morning," Mrs. Su said, and everyone greeted her as she began again. "Today, I'll be telling you the results of your votes on the leader spots, and then our main dancers will begin explaining and teaching the choreography for the competition."

"Who are the leaders Mrs. Su?" A female student called out.

"The leaders for our competition are," she said, pausing to get her phone out. "Xu Minghao and Liu Mei."

Mei and Minghao looked at eachother and high-fived, going to the front of the class.

"Why?!" Jaehwa exclaimed.

Mrs. Su sighed. "What, Jaehwa?"

"Why is Mei the female lead? She's only been here for two weeks!" She snapped.

"Jaehwa, at her old school she was the one that led her dance team to first place, and she was the main dancer there," Mrs. Su shrugged. "I'm sorry, but if you keep acting childish, I'm going to have to ask you to back out of the competition."

"What kind of dances are we doing for competition this year, Mrs. Su?" Kino asked to change the subject.

She smiled and stepped to the side to let the leaders talk. "I'll let the leaders explain that."

"Mei and I will be doing a duo dance as the leaders."

Mei's heart did a weird skip, one that almost made her put her hand to her chest. "And as your female leader, I will be leading the girls choreography this year. Minghao will be leading the boys."

"And together," he paused. "We'll be leading the whole group."

Everyone clapped in excitement and Mrs. Su came back to the front. "Please respect your leaders throughout rehearsals and work hard."

There were only about ten people total in the class. Split perfectly between five girls and five boys, making choreography easier as there weren't too many people.

Mei and Minghao started choreographing here and there to fill in holes for the group dance first, with all ten students. It didn't take too terribly long to get the gist of it, but there were still some mishaps, yet that was why the group had a month to practice. After everyone learned and discussed most of the group dance, they all went out to eat as a treat from Mrs. Su.

Mei was stuck in between Kino and Jaehwa, with Minghao on the other side of his girlfriend. It was quite a peaceful lunch, but of course, Jaehwa had to ruin it.

"Guys, I have really important news," she announced, holding her hand up as if to call attention to herself more than she already was. "The other day, I caught Kino and Mei in one of the classrooms making out."

Mei looked at Kino and he looked at her, then they both started laughing. "Wow, I didn't know we did that, Kino!"

"Me either!"

Then Mei turned to Jaehwa, and it got really quiet as she lowered her voice. "Seriously though, we never did that."

"She's not lying." Minghao stated.

Jaehwa looked at Minghao. "How do you know?"

He shrugged. "I can tell."

Capable of knowing when someone is lying or not.

Before everyone left, Mrs. Su held a toast to the leaders. "I would just like to say how blessed I am to have Mei and Minghao as our leaders. I'm sure they will lead us to first place and help us have a good time."

Everyone clapped and clinked glasses, then everyone left and headed back home. When Mei got home, her parents were in the kitchen.

"Hey, guys."

"Hi, honey."

"I have a question about the supernatural," the girl started. "Which supernatural beings know when you're lying or not?"

"Vampires and werewolves." Her mom answered.

Her dad gave her a questioning look. "Why?"

Mei shrugged. "Just research."

She didn't want them keeping her away from Minghao, honestly. With all that hunter past in their blood, hanging out with Minghao could be a trigger to bring it back. Once in her room, Mei marked off angel and demon in her notebook.

That only left vampire and werewolf.
