Gwen's POV

"Mum, wake up" a young male voice says as something shakes me gently. I wake and rub sleep from my eyes. And look at the little boy in front of me. So it wasn't a dream. "I'm hungry mum" he tells me and I hear his stomach rumble.

"Ok, let me was my face and get changed. You go pick out what you want from the kitchen" I tell him. He nods his head and goes to leave. He pauses at the door and looks back at me.

"Good morning mum" he says with a smile.

"Good morning Xander" I say and yawn. He left the room. I got changed, put my necklace on and washed my face. Before brushing my hair. I went to the kitchen to see Xander had got our bacon, eggs and bread.

"Do you have tomato sauce? I couldn't find it in the fridge" he tells me. I nod my head and grab i from the pantry. I start to make us breakfast while he puts a cartoon on.

"Xander, please write your dad's number down" I ask him. "We'll call him after breakfast" I state.

"Ok, but remember your promise" he tells me. I nod my head. He grabbed a pen and paper. He wrote a phone number down.

"How do you want your eggs?" I ask him.

"Scrabbled please" he says politely. I nod my head and scrabble eggs for us. I soon serve us breakfast. I sit down with him to eat when there is a knock at the door. I frown in confusion, who could that be.

"Stay here, I'll see who it is" I tell him. He nods his head. I head for the door as the person knocks again. "Coming!" I call. I reach the door and open it. I freeze when I see the man standing there in a black suit. "Good morning, can I help you?" I ask him.

"I'm here to take my son home" he states.

"Your Xander's father?" I ask surprised. He nods his head. "Please come in, we have much to discuss" I tell him. Stepping to the side and he enters my home. Rexy barks at him. "Enough" I tell her firmly and she runs to the kitchen. "I just made breakfast, do you want some?" I ask the man as I lead him to the kitchen.

"No" he says. We enter to see Xander going to give Rexy some bacon.

"No Xander, she needs puppy food" I tell him. I prepare her breakfast. "Rexy!" I call and she runs over. She goes to jump up. "Ah ah" I say and settles down. Sitting in front of me and I give her the food.

"Alexander Damien Genesis, you are in serious trouble young man" the man tells Xander.

"Dad!" Xander exclaims in surprise.

"We're going home, right now" the man states.

"Mr Genesis, I know what Xander did was wrong. But a child needs a mother and if I am his mother. I deserved to be apart of his life. I also promised to be apart of it" I tell him calmly.

"She did dad, she's my mum. You know I've ways wanted one" Xander says as he stands beside me. "You guys don't have to be together dad, I just want to get to know her" he states.

"Alex, she is no suited to our world. She lives here and we live in New York. It won't work" Mr Genesis tells him.

"But we promised each other and Mrs Raya always said you needed a holiday. Why not here in Oregon?" Xander asks him. "Please, for me?" he pleads.

"Fine, but only for a month. Then I have to return to New York" Mr Genesis tells him. Xander cheers and hugs him. Before going outside to play with Rexy. "Miss Johnson, know this many woman have tried to get close to my son in the past. So that they could win my favor, I won't let anything threaten my son's happiness" he tells me.

"I don't want anything from you Mr Genesis, but if Xander is my son I wish to know him" I tell him. "I'd like your permission to do a paternity test with him" I state.

"You don't trust my son?" he asks me.

"I just want to know for sure he is mine, before I get attached" I tell him.

"Then you have my permission" he tells me.

"Thank you Mr Genesis" I say.

"Call me Damien, Miss Johnson" he tells me.

"Then call me Gwen" I tell him. "You sure I can't interest you in a bite to ate?" I ask him.

"A coffee would be fine" he tells me. "Black, no sugar" he states. I nod my head and make us a coffee while finishing my breakfast. We then go outside to drink our coffees.

"He is a very well behaved boy, you're raising him well" I tell him. As Xander gets Rexy to sit before throwing a ball. Which she then brings back for him. I wonder what will happen next.
