Virgil is sitting on his bed, scrolling through his to-watch list of shows, documentaries, and movies on Netflix. He's having trouble finding one to watch. He doesn't only need to find one for himself to watch, Logan needs to approve of it too. And he isn't sure what kind of show they should choose.
Half of the time they attempt to watch something together they ended up getting lost in conversation and forgetting that they even had the tv on, so maybe the show shouldn't be too good, that would be a waste. Roman and Patton had always loved to point out how they 'got so lost in each other that they forgot their surroundings' which, well, wasn't exactly incorrect, but nothing either of them had wanted to admit.
Now that he and Logan had actually been dating for a while Virgil was not too ashamed to admit (at least to himself) that it was way too easy for him to forget about everything else when Logan was in the room.
Right, they shouldn't watch something the both of them weren't too excited about, chances are they'd just end up too focused on the other and miss everything that was going on on the screen. So Virgil needed to find something that was fun for both of them to watch and that was not too engaging.
At that moment Virgil heard the door to his room open and he knew his boyfriend was done changing into something more comfortable, and he opened his mouth to ask Logan if he had any ideas for what to watch.
Though the words died on his tongue as soon as he laid eyes on Logan, who was now dressed in a pair of light gray sweatpants, a black t-shirt and a blue and black plaid flannel over it.
Virgil's soul might have left his body for a moment and, fuck, Virgil doesn't think he's ever felt gayer. If he was a cartoon character he would probably have hearts for eyes, and he thanked the heavens that the whole cartoon thing that they tried a year ago would not happen ever again.
He had told Logan to for once dress more casual, and if this is his casual clothes? Virgil is certainly not complaining. He looked Logan up and down, clearing his throat and then looking back down at his phone after their eyes had met and he'd seen the amused smirk on Logan's face.
"Shut up." He said, making Logan's grin widen.
"I did not say a word." He defended himself, then being silent for a mere second before continuing. "Your dilated pupils speaks for themselves."
Virgil groaned and dropped his phone in his lap, wishing he had his hoodie on so that he could pull the hood over his face, but it was thrown over a chair a few meters away and he was wearing a baggy black t-shirt instead of his normal purple shirt. Instead he pulled the t-shirt up over his face, most likely looking very attractive with only his messy hair sticking up from the collar of the t-shirt.
He heard Logan's low laugh and felt the bed dip. Logan's hands were on his shoulders and he felt Logan kiss the top of his head. Then his hands were suddenly at his sides (that were exposed as his shirt was pulled up to hide his face), and Logan wiggled his fingers, making Virgil let out a yell and try to squirm away. It was not very easy to successfully keep Logan's hands off of him when he couldn't see where Logan even had his hands.
He felt Logan jab his fingers into his side, making him have to bite back a giggle that he absolutely did not want Logan to hear since it would only encourage his boyfriend to continue this torture. He pulled the shirt down from his face, swatted Logan's hands away, trying to glare at Logan which was very hard when he was widely smiling.
Virgil forced the smile away and pouted at him. "You're evil..."
"And your pupils are still dilated when looking at me, your eyes just lingered by my lips ...again," Logan said, of course making Virgil look at Logan's lips again, seeing his mouth form into a smirk, "which would mean that you would like to kiss me. Therefore I'd say it is unlikely that you indeed think I am evil."
"Fuck you." Virgil muttered, sticking his tongue out. Logan just hummed as if he was thinking it over.
"Not tonight." He then said, making Virgil roll his eyes and pick his phone up again.
"You are literally insufferable." Logan looked very happy about that, as if being called insufferable by his boyfriend is a great achievement. He sat down next to Virgil, an arm around his waist. Logan kissed his cheek, then leaned his head against Virgil's.
"What are we watching?" He asked and Virgil remembered what he had been doing before Logan came and distracted him. He still had no ideas, and it was already clear that they would be focusing more on each other than the screen. Logan seemed to be in a cheerful and relaxed mood which always made him more affectionate, Virgil had noticed.
"I don't know. Do you have a suggestion? Something we don't need to focus too much on, I feel like we will end up distracted and missing what's happening." Virgil said as Logan left a trail of light kisses along his jaw, proving his point.
"How about we rewatch Brooklyn Nine-Nine?" Logan suggested after having taken a moment to consider whatever options he had thought of.
"Seems like a good idea to me." Virgil said, quickly finding the show and pressing play. It resumed playing the beginning of the episode they'd stopped on last time they watched the show. Logan's fingers wrapped loosely around his wrist, thumb brushing small circles on the back of his hand. His other hand was gently placed on Virgil's cheek and made him turn his head towards Logan.
Virgil had no idea how Logan could possibly look at him with so much adoration showing in his eyes, but he didn't spend many seconds wondering about that because a moment later Logan had pressed his lips to Virgil's (though Virgil had definitely been leaning in too), kissing him very, very softly. Virgil's eyes closed, and didn't open even when Logan had pulled back. He had to take a moment to remember how to think.
"Aren't you affectionate today?" Virgil said, looking right into Logan's pretty eyes as the upbeat Brooklyn Nine-Nine theme song played in the background. It was more of a statement than a question, but Logan seemed to be forming an actual response.
"Well, this is the first time in a while we have a day to ourselves. I want to spend it kissing you properly, none of the quick kisses we've shared when alone for a minute." Logan said, as always being cute about everything. Virgil certainly would not mind it one bit if Logan kept it up with those soft kisses. There was no better feeling than of Logan's lips against his.
"Nothing is stopping you now." Virgil said, hands carefully placed on Logan's shoulders. He would rather not tell Logan too outright to kiss him, it would make Logan too satisfied and also prove whatever it was he'd said about dilated pupils. Well, it was true, of course he really did want to kiss Logan and he obviously wasn't fooling anyone.
Logan cupped Virgil's face in his hands, eyes searching his face and Logan's gaze was so fond that Virgil's breath hitched. Logan really needed to stop looking at him like he was all he needed in the world, Virgil didn't know what to do and only ended up blushing. Logan's lips pressed to Virgil's, and his eyes fluttered closed.
Logan's hands slowly slid down to his shoulders, and then his sides, making Virgil shiver. Maybe he would never really get used to anyone wanting to be close to him. At least not the fact that Logan wanted to be close to him, that he wanted to kiss him and be his boyfriend. No, Virgil might never fathom that.
Virgil felt Logan's hands steadily placed on his hips and pulling him in closer, their bodies pressed close. Logan's tongue dragged along Virgil's bottom lip and he parted his lips, allowing Logan to deepen the kiss. Virgil practically melted into the slow kiss, and he wouldn't rather be anywhere else in the entire universe than here with Logan. His boyfriend had the amazing ability of making Virgil feel actually happy.
Virgil felt one of Logan's hands in his hair, cradling the back of his head and pulling the tiniest bit at his purple strands of hair, drawing a low moan from Virgil who gripped to Logan's flannel. Logan pulled back the tiniest bit, their lips still brushing and their heavy breaths mixing. Virgil probably looked just as dazed as Logan did, eyes half lidded and seemingly not wanting to move away as much as an inch from Virgil.
"I love you." Logan said against Virgil's lips, voice hushed and breathy.
"That's gay." Virgil mumbled, having to bite his lips not to smile when Logan blinked as he processed the reply.
"I'd hope so." Logan said seriously, making Virgil burst out into laughter, having to lean back a bit not to laugh Logan in the face, which seemed like a rude thing to do. He shook his head, forcing himself to quiet.
"I love you too, Lo." Virgil said. He leaned in, placing a small kiss on Logan's forehead, then another quick one on his nose, and finally what was intended to be a quick kiss to Logan's lips but ended up lasting many more seconds than it was supposed to because Logan kissed back and Virgil just could not make himself pull away.
Then again he had no reason at all to end the kiss, it's not like anyone would interrupt them while in Virgil's room. Also, Virgil might have told everyone else to stay away from them today, that they wanted alone time.
Both of them were a bit too awkward around others when it came to showing affection. Anything more exciting than hand holding made them uncomfortable if they had an audience. Virgil just hated having the others eyes on them. It made him anxious. What he had with Logan was only his and Logan's business.
Them kissing until they parted breathlessly was definitely only his and Logan's business.
Virgil rested his forehead against Logan's, hands caressing his face. Every moment of contact with Logan further convinced Virgil that there was no point in ever letting go of him. If he could he would fuse with Logan and always be a part of him. Sadly he can't do that.
"If you keep kissing me like that I'll... I'll stop functioning, probably." Virgil said truthfully, ignoring the voice in his head that pointed out that he had never been functioning properly, with or without Logan kissing him senseless.
Logan looks quite proud of that, but does let go of Virgil (which Virgil isn't sure he's happy about or not) and leaned against the headboard after having put a pillow behind his back to make it more comfortable. Virgil didn't bother with all that, instead he just climbed in between Logan's legs, sitting down and leaning against Logan's chest. Logan did not seem to mind at all and only looped his arms around Virgil's middle, pulling him closer and resting his head on top of Virgil's.
"What are we going to eat for lunch?" Logan asked, and Virgil hummed quietly, not moving his eyes from the screen where Jake was currently making fun of the two Swedish detectives for knowing each others allergies.
"You hungry?" He wondered, feeling Logan shaking his head.
"Just wondering. I thought if we figure it out now we won't have to think about it too much later when we are hungry." Logan said, drumming his fingers against Virgil's stomach. He pushed Logan's hands away, the earlier tickle attack fresh in memory.
"Maybe we can make pancakes? It was a long time since we ate that." Virgil suggested, pretty much hearing the grimace Logan made.
"Pancakes do not have the most nutritional value." He began, but Virgil tilted his head up as much as he could and pouted at him, which made Logan roll his eyes and chuckle. "Fine, we'll make pancakes."
Virgil grinned, reaching his arms out in victory. Logan kissed the top of his head, mumbling something about him being adorable which made Virgil scoff. "Let's just watch this, you nerd."
"Sure." Logan said softly, once again wrapping his arms around Virgil. He didn't bother pushing Logan's arms away, instead he happily placed his own hands on top if Logan's. He was very comfortable like this, and he had no intentions of moving much today. Since they had planned to be lazy today and just enjoy each others company Virgil was definitely simply going to cherish having Logan all to himself all day, and he was surely going to make the most out of this.
He let a content sigh escape his lips. Sitting like this was more comfortable than it maybe should be, but Logan was warm (Virgil could never figure out how Logan was always so warm), and he wasn't going to tell Logan this, but he never felt safer or less anxious than when Logan held him. Virgil would have absolutely no problem with staying like this for the rest of the day.
Then Virgil realized he'd become distracted by Logan yet again as he remembered the show playing on the tv. He apparently didn't even need to look at Logan to be distracted by him. The thought made him smile a little and he was glad he wasn't facing Logan as he would surely ask Virgil what it was he found so amusing.
Logan laughed at the screen, trying to do so quietly but failing. That only made Virgil smile more. It was quite impossible not to when hearing or seeing Logan happy.
It took them about three minutes before they once again ended up forgetting about anything else than each other, Logan had quietly said something, Virgil couldn't remember what, but it had somehow turned into a very excited discussion about the possibility of alien life.
Virgil clumsily sat up properly, turning around and kind of straddling Logan to still sit in his lap but also face him as they debated- ... no, calmly discussed what kind of alien life they would expect to find. Logan went in on a long rant about how he thought aliens would look like and Virgil simply listened to him, a small smile on his lips.
Logan had that excited glint in his eyes, mouth almost formed into a smile, and fascination clear to hear in his voice as he spoke. Virgil could probably listen to Logan ramble all day.
