[62] - An Inappropriate Dare

That was an hilarious addition and I had to write it

Technically I guess this is kind of like a prompt from @717totoro lmao, hope you're happy

I do not have requests open, so please do not leave any

Warnings: inappropriate pickup line, dare, swearing, probably a bit awkward

I'm sorry about the pickup line, I googled inappropriate pickup lines and that one made me laugh so much that I chose it

When Logan was younger he had never understood why adults and teens had always turned around and tried not to laugh, or why elderly ladies and men had gasped and looked affronted when they saw the words that were written in cursive on his arm. They looked to be tattooed into his skin, but he knew better. They had always been there and would always be there, as they were on everyone's arms.

As a teen he had understood what they meant, but he didn't care much for the phrase, but he wondered slightly over who would say something like that to him, what kind of person was his soulmate? Logan wasn't sure of who could possibly e the perfect fit for him. He was well aware of the fact that he wasn't that social, and he only had one real friend. (A really sweet guy named Patton, he always stuck up for him) He had always been slightly intrigued though, when would he meet this person?

As an adult he found the words a bit bothersome, he worked as a teacher at a high school and when the students found out about what sentence their serious and professional teacher had on his wrist, they found it quite funny. At first he had always worn a long sleeved shirt to work, but during the summers it had been unbearable because of the heat.

So after a short while he had just screwed his original plan and hoped that his students would keep respecting him despite the, um, rather unusual words that he had imprinted on his skin. Luckily his students had only spent one class laughing and wiggling their eyebrows, joking about it.

It only took a little while for the whole school to find out about it, the words spread fast. Not that he cared very much. He was just annoyed over the fact that it was hard to have a whole class for the rest of the day. Kids really found things like these interesting. Then again, most of his students were not terribly interested in math so they took any distraction they could to find to get out of working.

Tonight it was Saturday and to get a bit of variation he had brought the maths tests that he needed to grade and gone to a coffee shop. It was quite busy in there at the moment, it was around 6 pm and people were just getting out of work. Apparently people liked to drink coffee on their way home.

But he found it to be a nice atmosphere to work in. The sounds around him and mumble of voices that blended together did not bother him, at home it was too silent. He actually found it quite relaxing to sit in a calm corner of the busy shop, grading and drinking coffee. Okay, he wasn't actually sure if what he was drinking was coffee, he had just chosen a random hot drink from the menu. There were so many to choose from and he didn't have time to read what was in each and every one of them. He just knew there were a lot of strange ingredients in what he was drinking.

After a long while of grading, it was probably well over 8pm by now and he only had a few tests left to grade, his eyes caught movement in front of him. It was much calmer in the coffee shop now, and at first he thought it was a server who wanted to ask if he wanted anything else. It was not. A really nervous guy stood in front of him, he looked a bit pale and kept glancing back at another man who was sitting a few tables away and were looking like he tried not to laugh.

"Are you a pirate? Because I have a lot of semen for you." The man spoke quickly and finger gunned at him. His hands were shaking. The guy a few tables away burst out laughing, making the few other strangers in the shop look over at him.

"Wait, what did you just say?" Logan exclaimed, staring at the guy in front of him in disbelief. The male did not look like someone who would say such a thing. But that was not the thing that surprised him the most.

"God, I'm so sorry, I lost a bet to my friend and I had to say that to a random stranger, I apologize so much." He then said, blushing fiercely and looking like he regretted everything he had done in his whole life that led up to this moment, and like he was a bit scared that he was going to get punched.

But Logan just burst out laughing he too, he couldn't help it. After all this time of wondering in what context someone would say a thing like that, and it was all because of a bet? He pressed a hand over his mouth to stifle his giggles.

"Oh dear." He said, trying to keep a straight face and not continue to laugh his ass off, because he seemed to really be confusing the man in front of him.

"I don't know you, but I think you might be my soulmate." He showed him the words written on his skin and the embarrassed stranger pressed his hands over his face and let out a short, slightly pained, laugh.

"Okay, I'm glad I'm doing such an admirable first impression, hi. I'm Virgil, by the way." He said and let out a nervous chuckle. That made Logan laugh again and the man, Virgil, smiled slightly. He sat down on the chair next to Logan, simultaneously brushing his bangs out of his face.

"Hello Virgil, my name is Logan." He presented himself and reached out his hand, shaking hands with the person who turned out to be his soulmate.

"Well I was planning on just saying the stupid line my friend chose for me and then make a hurried exit before I died from shame, but I guess I'll have to stick around for a bit." Virgil said shyly and with a deep sigh, sending a murderous glance at his friend who just grinned at him and wiggled his eyebrows at the two of them.

"That would be nice. I suppose we are expected to get to know each other now." Virgil said, his blush not fading by much.

"Your friend seem to have quite the dirty mind." Logan said, raising an eyebrow and Virgil hummed in agreement.

"That is very true, though don't credit him for that one, he used google and chose the most inappropriate one he could find." He said with a grimace, then clearing his throat awkwardly when he saw the way Logan looked at him.

"You think I should find new friends, don't you?" Virgil joked and Logan grinned widely.

"Only a little."

What surprised Logan the most as they conversated wasn't that he was talking to the one person that was destined to be his other half, it was how easy it was to talk to him. He had always assumed that he'd be more nervous and not know what to say, but even if they had both felt slightly embarrassed in the beginning the conversation had now gotten much more casual.

Logan wasn't sure exactly how long they talked, but he had found out all of Virgil's favorite books and shows, and that he loved theater and that he worked as an animator. His favorite color was purple, but that wasn't hard to figure out since his hoodie and hair was purple. Virgil had only been living in Florida for six months, and his friend, the one who he had come here with, was the only friend he had that lived in this state. Virgil also had a cat named Remy, and the animal pretty much only slept all day.

"Your friend seem to be coming this way." Logan said, interrupting the conversation they were having about Harry Potter and pointing towards the man that had been laughing earlier and that was now making his way towards the two of them. Virgil turned his head to confirm it.

"Hey Verge, I'm glad you found a date or whatever, but we really should be going soon, you have an early shift tomorrow, right?" Virgil's friend said, patting Virgil's shoulder.

"Roman," Virgil said, sending an obviously fake smile towards his friend, probably to point out that he wasn't as amused about this situation as his friend was, "meet my soulmate, Logan."

His friend, which apparently was called Roman, gaped, then pressed a hand over his mouth to not laugh. Virgil turned back towards Logan with a sigh, ignoring Roman.

"He is right though, I should be going." Virgil said, standing up but then stopping and looking around, slightly awkwardly.

"You don't happen to have a pen or something? So I can get your number? If you want..." He mumbled, and Logan smiled, quickly finding a pen beneath his papers and writing his number down on a piece of blank paper that he handed to Virgil.

"Thanks, I'll- I'll text you." He said, smiling slightly and then turning around, walking away and pulling his friend with him. Logan watched him walk away, only now his brain seemed to fully catch up on the events that had transpired. He really had just met his soulmate while grading papers at 8pm. It surely was the last thing that he had expected to happen today.

Logan leaned his head in his hand, chuckling quietly and looking out the window at the dark and almost empty street, thinking that he probably should get home soon too. He wanted to get the recommended eight hours of sleep, and he didn't want to wake up too late in the morning, he had many things to do, classes for the next week to plan. A tone from his phone brought him out of his thoughts, and he fumbled for his phone which was in his bag.

Unknown number: Hi, just making sure the number works -Virgil

Logan smiled at his phone screen, then placing his phone on the table and beginning to pick all his papers up, thinking of a suitable response while collecting all of the tests and the rest of the supplies he had brought with him and packing them down (he was careful to not forget anything, it would be unfair to the student if he lost their test). Thinking of Virgil made his heart beat just a little bit faster, and he was excited to meet him again.

Despite the awkwardness of their first meeting he was intrigued by Virgil, and he was not opposed at all to the idea of meeting him again. After all there was a 97% chance that they would indulge in a close relationship of some sorts for the remaining years of their lives, and Logan didn't know why, but the thought didn't confuse him as it usually did.

Logan: Seems to be working perfectly. It was nice talking to you, I hope we'll have the chance to meet again soon.
