[122] - Antidote For Restlessness
Look,,,,I'm touch starved and I will keep writing about cuddles. It's all I got lmao
Highly based off of how restless I feel all the time at home lol

It took Logan approximately one hour to grow annoyed at his boyfriend's continuous pacing around his room. Virgil had come there two hours ago, for whatever reason, and at first he'd simply curled up into a small ball in the corner of Logan's couch and stared at nothing.
That hadn't bothered Logan much and since Virgil had said nothing to him Logan had assumed that all he wanted was silent company (something the two of them enjoyed a lot, they'd realized early on in their relationship) and therefore Logan had continued typing on his laptop and left Virgil to alternate between staring at nothing, staring at his phone, and staring at Logan.
Though after an hour of that Virgil seemed unable to remain still any longer and had stood up, an action that attracted Logan's attention. It had sure gotten quite a lot harder to concentrate on his writing when there was constant movement that Logan couldn't help noticing.
But he did his best to ignore Virgil. If he had something on his mind that he wanted to talk about then he surely would when he felt ready, that Logan felt confident of. But Virgil said nothing, only continued his never ending pacing, hands deep in his pockets and hood up.
Eventually Logan decided maybe his writing could wait for now.
He let out a sigh and turned around tiwards Virgil who kind of sheepishly came to a stop in the middle of his continuous journey through the room.
"Sorry," He said quietly, "I didn't mean to bother you."
Virgil sat down on the floor, pulling at his hoodie strings. Logan rose from his chair without saying anything and instead crouched down next to Virgil on the floor.
"Virgil, is there anything bothering you? Perhaps I can be of assistance if there is a problem you are unable to solve on your own?" Logan said and placed a hand gently on Virgil's shoulder.
"Oh, no, I'm just... restless, I suppose. Not anxious. Though restlessness is a symptom of anxiety, I think. But I shouldn't be anxious right now, as far as I'm aware." Virgil rambled, then shutting up when realizing. Logan smiled kindly at him, leaning in slightly and kissing his cheek, an action that always seemed to surprise Virgil as there wasn't a single time it hadn't make him fluster slightly.
"So, all that pacing was for being bored?" He asked. Virgil shrugged weakly.
"Guess so." He said, and laid down. He stretched all his limbs then relaxed down against the hard floor. Logan wondered if it was really comfortable to lie like that but didn't comment on it since he got the feeling Virgil had more to say. Virgil groaned as a confirmation, then throwing his arms over his face.
"I just, there's nothing to do and everything I try to occupy myself with leaves me feeling even more restless than I was before. I really need to find something, anything, entertaining to do but my mind is completely blank. I don't even want to watch youtube." He said in a slightly agitated tone, kicking his heels into the floor.
"Not to sound like Roman, but I think I am dying from boredom." He continued, removing his arms and looking up at Logan. Virgil rolled over onto his side, sighing deeply.
"Well, Virgil, I'm not sure how to help you with that problem. Though I will of course do my best to assist you if you could give me an idea of how to be helpful." Logan said, unsure if he really could be of any help, he wasn't exactly known for being the most entertaining person to be around.
"Well- eh..." Virgil said, staring at nothing. Logan quirked an eyebrow and stared at Virgil. Clearly he'd had something in mind.
"Well?" Logan repeated, trying to urge Virgil to speak. Virgil peered up at him in a way that looked like he was evaluating if telling Logan was worth it or not. Logan sat silently and let Virgil decide for himself.
"No, it's ...it's silly." Virgil mumbled and averted his gaze, instead staring up at the ceiling. Logan sighed. Virgil was indeed the embodiment of anxiety and could not always control his worries, but Logan still wished he wouldn't fear to tell him things.
"Virgil, you can request anything from me, I won't laugh or judge you. That I can promise." He said and Virgil apparently decided that Logan was indeed being sincere because a moment later he spoke up.
"Okay then, at the risk of, once again, sounding like Roman..." He sighed, rolling his eyes at himself before continuing. "Could you just, maybe, hold me?"
Virgil had his eyes closed and looked as if he was bracing for impact as if he was sitting in a vehicle about to crash at any second. He didn't want Virgil to regret asking anything of him and was therefore determined not to give Virgil reason to believe he found it an odd request at all.
"Oh." Logan said, a heartbeat of silence passing. This wasn't what he'd expected from Virgil, he'll admit. "Well, that can be arranged."
"Physical contact is certainly a means against boredom, I'm sure. Otherwise Roman and Patton wouldn't be spending such an endless amount of time in each others arms, would they?" He continued, now maybe rambling a bit himself. Virgil opened his eyes and looked up at Logan in an almost judging way.
"Really? You're going to just agree to that like... that?" He said, sounding more surprised than Logan thought him having reason to. He nodded.
"Why wouldn't I? You are my boyfriend, are you not?" Logan said.
"...Yeah?"
"It is to my understanding that romantic partners often do engage in physical contact?" Logan avoided mentioning that most of what he knew of romantic relationships were from what he'd seen Roman and Patton do together, and he knew the two of them were a lot more into the whole 'touch-y, feel-y' part of relationships.
He and Virgil were generally a lot more quiet with their affection. Spending time together doing different things, that they could've just as well done alone, such as reading, solving puzzles, watching youtube or tv, etc. Simply sitting close enough for their arms or legs to touch during movie nights, perhaps share a blanket if it was cold. A quick kiss to the others cheek or forehead.
Yes, Logan and Virgil were far more comfortable with all the small gestures. Both because of the kind of people (or, aspects of one whole personality, to be more exact) they were, but also since they hadn't been together all that long and were still figuring out what they were comfortable with and what they wanted from their relationship.
Though Logan doubted anyone else than them would've went a few weeks in a relationship without holding the other. Maybe they were a bit strange.
"I guess so." Virgil said, slowly sitting back up.
"Um, how..?" Virgil began awkwardly, barely meeting Logan's eyes and looking like he was already overthinking everything about what he had proposed. Logan didn't let him finish and instead carefully put his arms around Virgil, who was suddenly very tense. Logan disregarded that and decided on keeping his arms around him until Virgil himself decided that he wanted Logan to stop touching him.
It took a few short moments but after a while Virgil relaxed at least a little and Logan felt how Virgil's arms wrapped around him, even if loosely. Virgil pressed his face into Logan's shoulder, which made Logan smile, even if he suspected it was only to hide his face and avoid having to look at Logan.
Another few seconds passed and Logan heard Virgil sigh softly before leaning into Logan more, now seeming to be more relaxed than Logan had seen him for a while. He found that a great accomplishment, he didn't want Virgil going around agitated and on edge, which Virgil sadly often seemed to be.
"Is this pleasant?" He asked quietly, only receiving a low hum that he hoped was uttered in a positive way. He decided to take the way Virgil's hold of him tightened momentarily as a clue that Virgil did think this was more comforting than embarrassing.
"Shall we perhaps move to a more comfortable location? Such as the couch or the bed? I am disliking the prolonged kneeling on the floor." Logan continued. His knees were indeed beginning to hurt. Virgil quickly let go of him and stood up, Logan dismissed the instant thought of how he already missed having Virgil in his arms.
"Couch then." Virgil mumbled, sitting down and waiting until Logan had sat down too before sagging against him, still very much without looking directly at Logan. He supposed the suggestion to resume their session of holding each other on Logan's bed had been a bit too close to the possibility of something going further.
Not that either of them would be initiating anything of such sorts anytime soon, which was especially obvious since hugging was a big new step in their relationship. Though Logan did admit, to himself at least, that his own mind strayed that way too at the thought of them both in the same bed.
Not because he wanted anything like that to happen, but just because of the connotations between 'bed' and 'two people in a romantic relationship'. But Logan of course did not know what was going on in Virgil's mind, and he shouldn't be assuming things either.
Logan once again looped his arms around Virgil, thoroughly enjoying seeing Virgil comfortable enough to have his eyes closed and head leaning against his chest. His slow, calm breathing almost made Logan feel drowsy after a while, which he might've found the tiniest bit silly if it hadn't been for the fact that Virgil was practically half asleep.
"Verge, would you like to nap with me?" He asked, highly hesitant if that was a wise suggestion. Logan very much feared making Virgil uncomfortable, especially as he wasn't very good at realizing if Virgil was feeling uneasy and as Virgil wasn't too likely to tell him if something was making him uneasy.
"Yeah, sure." Virgil sleepily mumbled into his shirt, making Logan let out a breath he hadn't been aware he was holding. He carefully laid down, trying his best not to disturb Virgil's peace by moving him and therefore ending up with Virgil practically lying on top of him, which Logan didn't mind. Virgil was warm and not too heavy, and Logan would be lying if he would attempt to claim he wasn't enjoying the physical contact, he too
Virgil seemed to drift of into sleep in no time, leaving Logan to conclude that he wouldn't mind at all if they were to do this more often. He let one hand slowly run through Virgil's (surprisingly) soft hair as he thought of how he was going to continue his work later that day, soon after falling asleep he too.
