Finding the Sea
Violets POV:

Violet flew farther and farther away from her home. From her mother and father, her siblings, everyone she knew. She remembered when she first met Windrunner. She was only 4 when she met Windrunner. She had met Windrunner through Dark Sunset. She remembered that day really clearly.

Violet flew into the school and hoped it would be a good year of school. After last year it was chaos. The last day of school all the dragonets had a food fight. She hid under the stone table as Dark would scold her for getting involved and Dawn would tell her to stay away from troublesome dragonets. She walked into the entrance of Emerald Pillar which had a sign in big letters that read: WELCOME BACK! With pieces of small red and blue paper spread across the sign. Violet walked up to the front desk and saw a Dark Gray dragon with black freckles across her face fading into purple at her legs. "Hello and welcome back!, You're Violet aren't you?". The dragon at the front desk asked her. "Y-Yes I'm Violet". She stammered as she stared at the dragon as the who grabbed a scroll and handed it to her. "You're cave is the fifth cave on the left!". The dragon said cheerfully. What a nice dragonet!, I wonder if the others are as nice as her?. Violet heard the dragon think, she knew half the dragonets at her school could read minds or see the future or both.

She didn't mind being able to read minds but sometimes she wished she could shield out the thoughts. She heard of some dragons that could do that, but it must have taken lots of time to do that. There were also dragons who could hold a rock called Skyfire and it could block out mind readers but the rock was long gone or buried somewhere. She walked down the hallway past some other caves. Fifth cave on the left, Fifth cave on the left, Fifth cave on the left. Her mind kept repeating. She soon reached her cave and opened her scroll with her clawmates names and Winglets:

She looked around the cave and saw there were spots around the cave for each tribe like a pool of water for the Webwing a hammock of cloth for the Candlewing and a few more things for the other tribes. Violet laid down on the rocky surface and waited for her clawmates to arrive she tucked her scroll into a shelf embedded into the wall. Soon a blue head with bioluminescent scales and a deep Greenish-Blueish body and Brown eyes. "Are you Foam?". Violet asked the Webwing. "Yes I am!, who are you?". Foam asked. Violet could tell he was nervous. "I'm Violet".

Hm, A moonwing, all mysterious and cryptic. Everyone knows their known liars and secretive. Well not really because they live in caves and other tribes know they exist, Oh wait... His mind stopped as he laid down in the water pool. After that she had History with a Galaxywing named Dust. Dust has Dark Blue scales with hints of Dark Purple with small white and gold stars on his underbelly with Purple eyes and a scroll pouch attached to his leg. She sat down at her desk in the circle cave as the teacher spoke with students still coming into the room. "Hello students!, welcome back to Emerald Pillar I hope you enjoy your year, now let's get started!". Dust clapped his talons together and he started speaking. "I hope all of you students have been studying for history, but because this is your first year of 4th talon we will teach you simple things like who invented things, how to tell which powers a Moonwing has and Some old legends".

Dust turned to the chalk board and wrote the words: First Lesson: Who invented things. Dust turned to the class. "Now who can tell me which dragon invented the Galaxy Crystal!". A few talons shot up in the air. One of them was the Webwing with black spots on her along with very little white spots on her wings. Dust looked around the room and looked at all the talons before choosing. "Hmmm, Oh, how about Algae". He looked at the dragonet with black spots. The dragonet thought for a second. "A Galaxywing named Starburst, I think". She said quietly. Violet was sure she said nothing at all. "Yes that is correct!, Great job Algae!". Soon a gong bell rang three times -BONG BONG BONG- and she had gone to her other classes.

Violets next class was lunch which was when she would get to see her siblings. She walked into the Prey center. Along with a bunch of other dragons one of them was a Webwing with Black spots which she now knew as Algae. Webwings cant be black, can they?, even though I saw black on her..., It could be ink?. Maybe it's a really Dark Blue. She thought as she walked into the prey center.

The prey center was really organized, well not really with all the animals running around. But the tables were. The table were organized in rows and were really small, sometimes they were cramped in spaces they shouldn't be. Kind of like an afterthought like, Oh right Dragonets need tables to sit at!. Violet sat at a table close to the exit. She had caught a small goat and ate it quickly and got some berries afterwards. Soon Dark Sunset had come over with another dragonet who was light gray with a broken horn and a horn ring. "Hi Violet!, Wanna meet my new friend?". Dark Sunsets friend looked at her then back at Dark Sunset. "Sure I don't mind".

She looked at the dragonet as she fiddled with her talons. Maybe she won't like me, but what if she likes bugs or rocks?, she might not, oh well at least I'll have another friend. What if she doesn't want to be my friend would she fake being my friend?, or would she really like me?. She liked her already, even if she liked rocks and bugs. "This is Windrunner!, my new best friend!". Dark Sunset shouted making five dragonets stare at her. "Oops, Sorry". Dark Sunset whispered. She and Windrunner became best friends after that. Windrunner sometimes liked gemstones and gems embedded in rocks. She sometimes dissected insects and studied them then kept them in jars covered in sap.

The memory faded away as she flew over the sea. A pain shot through her head, then a vision happened, pink scales, webbed talons and gills. As the vision ended she landed on a island with a grassy hill and a beach. She landed near the water with more tiny islands around it. It's obviously a Webwing but they can't be pink can they?, maybe they can and I don't know about it. Wouldn't we have learned if Webwings could be pink?. Maybe the teachers didn't know about the other colors of Webwings?. She looked at the beach waiting for something to come out of the water. She waited and nothing came. She wanted to explore the territory a bit so she lifted her wings and flew off into the sky. Violet flew around the small island and soon encountered a small island with a beach. She landed on the sand with a thump and found a small wood house with the door open. She wanted to go inside but that would be breaking in.

There was a small water pool in the corner of the house with sand at the bottom. Violet exited the house and she soon heard a splash followed by talonsteps. She hid at the side of the house. Soon she heard the talonsteps get closer until they reached the doorway. They went inside the house and closed the door. She snuck from her hiding spot and went to the door. Should I knock?. Yes I should, but then I would have to think of an excuse to be here, No!, I will tell the truth, but maybe... Her thoughts trailed off and she reached her talons towards the door and knocked. The dragon inside the hut opened the door. They were Pink with a Light Pink underbelly along with gills webbed talons and wings for gliding with small scars on their snout, arm, back right leg and tail. "Hello?, do you need something your Majesty?".

The dragon then bowed and looked back at her and quickly lifted their head up. "Oh..., I'm so sorry! I thought you were Queen Wave- hehe". He laughed. "What do you need and why did you come all the way out here?". He asked while peaking out the door and looking northeast. "I- Um, well it's pretty weird since I don't know you yet but you're in a prophecy". He looked at her for a while
as if he was studying her. "A what?". He asked. "A prophecy, you don't know what that is?". She asked the dragon. "It's future seeing so I'm a seer and I can see the future". Violet told the dragon. "Oooh a future seer!, that's cool I've heard of them but I haven't read anything about them because all I get is old scrolls from the Web Kingdom".

Violet stared at him for a while. "Sorry if this is weird but what's your name?".
She asked him. "My name is Drizzle!, Drizzle the Webwing!". Violet knew Drizzle was a good dragon but couldn't figure out why he was here instead of in the Web Kingdom. "Drizzle?, why are you here instead of the Web Kingdom?". As she asked the question she saw his expression go from cheerfulness to sadness. "Is something wrong?, You don't have to answer if you don't want to". Drizzle stood in his doorway for a while and spoke. "I was kicked out of the Web Kingdom because of my scale color, the other Webwings think that any other color like Dark Grey or Red are bad luck for the Webwings, so when I was born Pink they put me on this island with a caretaker until I was 4 and I was then left to live by myself with a few guards, but they don't really do their job well".

Violet stared at him. "Well you're coming with me, let's go!". She commanded as she grabbed his arm. "W-Wait, hey!, I can't fly you know!". He shouted from behind her. She quickly let go and stared at Drizzle. "You can glide, can't you?". She asked. He looked at his wings and spread them. "Only if we jump off a high cliff or a tree, other than that no". Violet responded with a hm sound and stared at the water. "How fast are you at swimming?". Drizzle scanned the water. "If I swim out of here the guards will find me easily because of my scales". He said. Violet looked back at the way she came. "Do you mind walking?". She asked filling a water canteen. "No I don't mind, let's go then!". He shouted.

Violet and Drizzle had been walking for a while now and they got close to the Red Spine river and now they had to swim across the river that divided the two islands. "I can fly over and you can swim does that sound good?". Drizzle stared at the water and stared at the fish swimming through the water. "Huh- Oh yea, that sounds good". He answered back. "Are you hungry, we can stop for fish if you want". She told him. Drizzle looked at the water but didn't answer.

He suddenly dove into the river catching three fish and brought them to the surface. "Do you want one?". Drizzle asked with the fish in his mouth. "Sure, I'll have one". Violet took one from his talons and spilt it in half. She ate the one half slowly and golfed down the other one. She watched as Drizzle ate the other two quickly. Violet flew over the river and landed on the red grass while swerving through the trees. She watched as Drizzle swam through the river with ease. He soon pushed himself out of the river and smiled at her.

She liked the way he smiled it was a warm smile but also a happy one. Now what do we do?, I have the "One with the Sea", Now who do I find?, could it be a Boulderwing?, No!, it never said anything about One with the Stone, so not a Boulderwing, hmmm. She thought as they walked through the red grass. Suddenly a pain shot to her head and she lurched forwards, clutching the ground and her head. She saw Drizzle run towards her.

A vision of a dragon on fire yelling at another dragon, it was a merchant, the dragon who was yelling had a horn on its head which was sparking with sun rays. She noticed the ground was covered in sand with sandstone pathways. The dragon on fire was holding an egg, it was light yellow with dark brown at the bottom with spots.

The vision faded away and to her right she saw Drizzle shaking her. "HELLO!, Violet, please wake up!, Oh you're awake, are you ok?" Drizzle yelled at her as the vision stopped. "Drizzle I'm okay,... I just had a vision". She nervously smiled at him. "Ohh, What did you see?, Was it bad?". He asked as he looked at the tree blowing in the wind. "No it wasn't bad". She answered. What was that?Why was that dragon on fire!, is it ok?, why did it have an egg with it?

Questions where whirling in her mind as she got up from the ground. "There was a dragon on fire?, and it had a horn on its head with sun rays coming out of it". She told him rubbing her head. He looked at her and looked at the grass. That must be a Solarwing, has she never see a Solarwing before?, Does she live under a rock or something. Well I myself haven't seen a Solarwing I've heard of what they look like. They sound weird being able to shoot rays out of their heads. He thought. Violet felt angry at him for her not knowing what another dragon looked like.

She wanted to yell at him but kept quiet. It wasn't her fault she didn't know what they looked like. She heard Midnight talk about dragon tribes all the time but they usually ended in a lecture about how she should be listening to her and how important it was to know the certain tribes. She looked up and saw clouds rolling over head. Violet felt water fall onto her scales. "We should take cover soon." She said as water pelted onto her scales.

Together they both huddled under the trees and slept. Violet had terrible sleep. She couldn't sleep with the rain pelting on her snout. She also couldn't stop thinking about the vision she had. How was she supposed to find the dragon on fire if almost every Solarwing looks the same. Violet knew what she had to do, what they had to do.

They had to travel to the Solarwing kingdom.
