Chapter 45

"Welcome back," Hitoshi muttered in a dull tone, not even bothering to look up when I came crashing through the window. It was one of my least graceful entries, but my legs felt like jello under me. Eijirou hadn't lied about after practice.

"How many assignments do you have?" I asked, a little shocked to see him still working on chemistry. It had been two hours since I had left and he hadn't moved.

He tapped the eraser at the end of his pencil against his forehead absently. "Last one."

That was good news at least. "I'll leave you alone until you're finished then," I said with a small nod, glancing over my shoulder as Eijirou came through the window, followed shortly by Katsuki. I guessed we were all crashing in my room again, not that I was complaining.

"No," Hitoshi said in a sudden and offended tone. "Come here."

A small smile slipped onto my face as I made my way to him, draping myself across his back and peaking over his shoulder at the textbook in front of him. "I'm so happy I cheated my way through that class," I mumbled against his shirt, all of the information in front of me made zero sense. I never understood chemistry.

"It's not that bad," he admitted, his attention returning to his work. "Just time-consuming."

"If you say so." I lightly kissed his neck and moved to retreat, I was serious about not distracting him. I didn't get far before his hand was in my hair, keeping my chin against his shoulder. He lazily massaged my scalp, making me melt against him. The worst part was that he had no reaction to it, just kept scribbling down answers to his homework.

"So," Eijirou spoke up, already sitting on the side of my bed and watching the two of us like a free show. "Iz won't let us go to the club without him anymore."

"Seriously?" Hitoshi asked, apparently very skilled at multitasking. He was still filling in answers and writing down equations, but fully listening to the conversation. I, personally, could never.

"They're playing Porn Star Dancing," I grumbled into his shoulder, an edge of bitterness in my voice. They were their own people and could play whatever song they wanted, didn't mean I was gonna be happy about it.

Hitoshi laughed quietly at my reasoning. "And you're gonna bring your bat?" he teased, finally sparing me a glance.

"Don't give him ideas," Katsuki complained, leaning his back against Eijirou and forcing the redhead to support both of their weights.

"If you two weren't so fucking hot, I wouldn't need ideas," I hissed, wrapping my arms around Hitoshi's waist, effectively becoming a backpack.

"Sorry," Katsuki sarcastically drawled, his red eyes flashing to meet mine. "Let me just become ugly real quick."

"Thanks!" I chirped back. I looked back to Hitoshi's assignment and frowned, I wasn't a fan of the split attention thing he had going on. "How many more questions do you have?"

"Last one."

Mm, I guess I can be patient for one more question.

"There," he spoke up after only a few more questions. I was caught off guard, thinking it'd be a few minutes at least. "All yours."

It was stupid how fast my heart beat at those insignificant words.

"Hi," I said stupidly, a giddy smile on my face. I was probably still riding my high from the interaction with Shindo earlier, or maybe he just had that effect on me, I didn't particularly care which.

He looked down at me with amusement dancing in his gaze. "Hello, love."

"Eijirou decided to weaponize my kinks," I spoke up, tossing a glance at the redhead wearing a smug expression at my statement.

"Oh?" he asked with a small laugh, looking between us. "And why'd he have to do that, Iz?"

"Why do you automatically assume I did something?"

"Because it's you," Katsuki supplied oh-so-helpfully.

"You're a dick," I grumbled, retreating from Hitoshi as an act of rebellion. If they were all going to gang up on me, then I would retaliate. I was petty and we'd been over it a million times already, they knew what they were getting into.

Hitoshi shook his head with an amused smile at the two of us. "Since you were at practice, I assume you didn't see the text from Uraraka?" he asked me.

I tilted my head to look up at him. "What text? What does she want now?"

"To introduce Ashido to her parents," Hitoshi said with a shrug. "She's going back home again next week and wants to know if we want to come. Told her I'd ask you."

"Again?!" I cried, letting my body dramatically fall back and crash into the pillows. The girl had been living in Musutafu for what? Two months or something? And she already visited once. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, considering how many times she came out there to visit me. She had separation anxiety or something, she couldn't stand to be away from her favorite people for too long.

"We don't have to go," Hitoshi said again, one of his hands landing on my arm as he trailed his fingers up and down. "Ash is going, so it's not like she's traveling alone if we don't."

I peeked over at my other two boyfriends, who were being suspiciously quiet. They had a lot of opinions the last time I had gone back, but it had been so long and so much had happened. I wanted to know where they now stood. "Thoughts?" I called over to them.

Eijirou cringed away at being put on the spot, even if it was only us. That was all the response I needed. He didn't want me to go. Katsuki, on the other hand, gave the back of his red hair a light smack while scowling. "You should both go," he answered, shocking me.

"Huh?"

Katsuki's intense red gaze tore away from Eijirou's huffing figure and landed on me. "I think you should both go."

I narrowed my eyes skeptically at him, not believing that it wasn't a trick. "Since when?"

"Well, it's not like I have much to worry about this time. Whatever eye bags pulls will be completely consensual for all of us," Katsuki pointed out with an eye roll that showed he was annoyed that he had to spell it out for us. Our relationship had come a long way, but I still worried that one day they'd suddenly not be okay with it anymore. "And I know for damn sure he won't let anything happen to you, so you should both go."

My eyes narrowed even further until I could barely see him. There was something else. "And?" I pressed. I knew Katsuki too well by that point, I knew there was another reason he thought we needed to go, it wasn't just that he had nothing to worry about this time.

"I fucking hate you," he grumbled, crossing his arms and staring pointedly off to the side. "Shinsou never got to visit his dad's grave. I think you two should go on this fucking trip."

Oh, I hadn't been expecting that of all things. I was constantly surprised by how well Katsuki could read people because it was hardly ever brought up. He didn't point out the things he saw until it came to moments like this, when he was forced to. It was easy to forget how perceptive he was.

He said Shinsou instead of eye bags. Oh my fucking god, he's so cute, I knew they'd be friends if they weren't fighting over me all the time!

"Who says I'd visit even if I went?" Hitoshi asked, an edge to his voice that hadn't been there a second ago. He didn't like talking about his dad and we all knew that. I realized quickly that was the reason Katsuki hadn't said anything at first. I just keep fucking everything up

"Don't be a hard-ass," Katsuki snapped, pulling me from my self-deprecating thoughts in a flash. "You'll hate yourself if you don't, so just fucking go and save us all the migraine."

Hitoshi stared at him with a clenched jaw, poised to make a remark. He thought better of it though, choosing instead to turn away and mutter "Whatever, Bakugou."

The room dissolved into an uneasy silence that only lasted a handful of seconds before Eijirou broke it. "So... are you guys going?"

Hitoshi pinched the bridge of his nose as I turned my expectant gaze to him. He had the final say here, I wasn't making the trip back for any reason other than him. "If- If Iz wants to."

"Yeah," I said softly, scooting over to him and resting my head on his shoulder. Hitoshi and I were both more physical creatures, talking could only do so much. Sometimes, all you needed was contact. "I want to go."

"We're doing homework while we're there though," I added quickly, knowing that all the time away from school would only make him fall more behind.

Hitoshi scoffed above me, his hand making its way to my hair. "Of course we are."

Pov I actually finished this chapter before I went to work today but convinced myself I needed to add more after work, got home and decided that no it's the right length and am now posting it like seven hours late, oops.
