The doctor finally arrived and shooed everyone away from the door. they had been crowding around, waiting for her painful breaths to stop seeping through the door.

He then slowly turned towards her and said, "Here's the deal. I can heal you, but it's up to you. It looks like you want to die. I mean, you did this to yourself. I want you to live, but I will be courteous and leave it up to you."

She nodded, tears flowing down her face. "I did, I really did, but I'm not so sure now. I have been thinking, and I can't leave me friends. There are too many of them. They was tryin so hard, so hard to make sure I lived and, I don't know, I guess they love me a lot more than its always seemed."

He looked at her with a long gaze and said, "It's up to you now. Only you can decide to live." She smiled softly, "Then...yes. I will live for them. I think they will make me a very happy girl."

The doctor bandaged her up with a smile on his face, then went outside where all the boys were waiting anxiously. "She will live. It's good that you wrapped her up or else she'd be dead. its all thanks to you."

Spot asked, "Is she sleeping? I don't want to disturb her. I mean, after all this, she needs all the sleep she can possibly get right now." The doctor nodded and left. Spot held his hand up and went inside all alone.

 When he went in, he saw that she was as white as the now clean sheets that the doctor had laid out, but looked peaceful, a change from the usual. Breathing normally, she laid back against the pillows, sleeping. A pile of bloody sheets lay in the corners.

 He sat right by the bed and began to talk. "I have been thinking about why it hurt to agree to be friends. Why I helped you. I know why Ive been doin all I have to make sure you lived."

Tears started streaming down his face. "I love you. I fell in love with you when I saw you punching the wall, in so much pain. You looked human. I've been denyin it this whole time, but now I see it. Heh, look, now I am crying. See what you do to me? You are the only one who's evah made me cry before."

 Arms went around his neck. He looked around to see her smiling. "I stayed so I could see if you could ever love me. I will never face the madness again." Spot looked deep into her eyes, and then kissed her passionately. She sunk into his arms, and when the other boys came in, there was no doubt that Spot and Finley were so in love.
