They want my help? They have never wanted me anywhere near them and they want me to help them? No way! Should I? What? No! I'm not even part of this deal! I mean yea, I saw the shit hit the fan when I was younger but that does not make me part of the situation does it? I mean, they didn't even see me sitting on the stairs that night, did they? Reality slapped me so hard in the face at that moment that it stopped me dead in my tracks. They never moved their mouths that night, that means, that means they are gifted with telepathy as well. "What the hell is going on in this world?" I yelled, thankfully no one was around to hear me yelling at nothing like a mad man. Or so I thought.

'Hey, Jay, turn around.'

"What?"

'I said, turn around.'

I turned quickly and found a familiar face standing so close to me that I could feel his breath. Gage.

"What the fuck man! Back the hell up! You don't need to be that close to me!"

'Well, I wasn't this close until you turned around.'

He was talking to me without using his mouth. I got to say that watching this happen gives off an eerie feeling when you have never really communicated this way before. All you see is this face just glaring at you, so your eyes are not understanding what they are seeing and some of the faces this man is making is odd when his lips aren't moving. That is pretty much all I could focus on throughout the entire conversation.

'Are you listening to me?'

"What? No, sorry, I was not paying you any attention at all." I laughed.

He lowered his head and began rubbing his forehead with his right hand while his left rested on his hip. It looked aggravated and over the situation all at the same time. The shit just started, so how he was already over it was mind boggling. After a deep breath of release, he grabbed my arm with a tight grip. We were no longer standing in the street.

I was now standing in the center of my parents' enemy's living room. Directly in front of me was yet another man that I recognized from my past. Surrounded by three, I stood with my arms crossed over my chest in a completely relaxed fashion. Ace, Blaze, and Gage. The only person missing was Bellatrix, also known as Bell. Ace, the father of Blaze and Gage, the man I recall from my childhood on so many separate occasions (negative occasions), was sitting in his enormous recliner with his legs crossed in a woman's fashion and a classic cigar between his fingers, rocking slightly back and forth. I guess he really thought he was hot shit. Blaze and Gage stood with their arms crossed in more of a security guard fashion on each side of their father's chair.

A slight laugh escaped my lips, such a classic mobster scene really. "What's so funny?" Ace asked, finally breaking the silence in the room and speaking out loud. "You can read my mind, right? Why don't you tell me!"

"We don't just read minds for the hell of it, Jay. Plus, it becomes a bit tiring when you do it too much, it's draining. So, why don't you share with the class!" Blaze chimed in.

"You guys look real cute. Mobster Wanna-Bes. Tough guys." I laughed again.

Surprisingly, they laughed as well. It was meant to piss them off, instead, they took it with a grain of salt.

"Alright, enough with the games! It is time to discuss why you are here." Ace said with a charming and playful tone. He took a sip of whiskey from his short crystal glass and put his cigar out in the crystal ashtray. You would think by the look of his house and the way it is dressed on the inside (including his nick-nacks) that he was obsessed with diamonds and crystals. Everything from the crystal painted murals on the ceiling to the diamond encrusted tiles on the floor and everything in between. The man was wealthy. I will admit that I liked his style, and the house was something of a dream, everything he had mixed well together; nothing about it seemed too over the top or like it didn't belong. It was captivating really, and it took a lot not to oooohhh, and aaaahhh at everything. I think I held my composure pretty well though.

"Now, I am sure you are aware of the history that your parents and I have shared. Correct?" Ace began.

"Well, not really. I try not to be part of their retartedness that they call life. Why?"

"That is the reason I had Gage track you down and bring you here. I have been waiting for you to get out of the pin."

"Get to the point skippy, I don't have all day. I have people to do and places to see. So, again, why?"

He laughed, took another sip of whiskey and shook my soul to the core with the next few words that escaped his lips. "I want you on my team." Despite the shock that took control of my emotions, I managed to hide it and continue the conversation. "Your team?" I asked. "Yes, Blaze, Gage, and myself. Together we will take on your mother, your father, and your two siblings."

"I'm sorry, but I am really getting tired of asking why. Can you just spill it please?"

He paused for a moment and laced his finger together and placed his hands under his chin. I felt annoyed and confused with the situation I was facing. On one hand I have my parents asking for my help and on the other hand, I have my parents' enemy asking for my help. Both sides want me to help them destroy the other. The only thing I keep asking myself is why.

"Jay, you are obviously oblivious to the cards that you hold. I am willing to show you and teach you, but in return, I want you to use those cards against your parents to help me remove them from this planet once and for all."

"I don't know mafia freaks. Let me think about it ok. Now point me out of here, I have better shit to do than stand here talking to you fuckers." And just like that, I was back on the street.
