*Scarlett's POV*
"Order up, coconut cream pie, served well-done!"
Cole launched a coconut into the air from the tree, that was being used as a slingshot, and Kai pointed his blade at it, firing flames out and burning the fruit. The other boys cheered.
Kai and Cole had their shirts off, wearing swim shorts, while Jay had a sport type pair of shorts on and a blue tank. Zane wore a beach button-up and khaki pants.
"It is good to have our powers back!" Zane smiled.
"Yup, you're right." Jay playfully elbowed his friend. "And since we've all been working on our witty quips to follow every cool thing we do... I'd say we've got this Final Battle in the bag. Or should I say..." He winked at Cole.
Cole did the same, launching another coconut.
"I'd be shocked if we lose!" Jay then took out his own blade and blew up the coconut with lightning, laughing.
"Enough!" Wu shouted. We all looked up to see him pointing his staff at us. "Are you trying to reveal our hidden location?"
"Sorry, Sensei. We were just trying our cool new Elemental Blades," Kai explained.
"And our witty quips!" Jay added.
"Be wary of overconfidence, ninja. While it is true that your powers can defeat the Stone Army, only Lloyd alone has the power to defeat Garmadon."
"Am I able to defeat the Stone Army?" I asked.
"The prophecy says that you aid the Green Ninja in his journey—however, it is his destiny to defeat Garmadon," Wu answered.
"But Sensei... how do I aid in his journey? Yesterday, I felt so much power in the Temple of Light..." I looked down at my hands. "Am I really this strong?"
"You are, indeed. Garmadon knows of your presence here on the island, but he is unaware of your powers. If he were to find out what it was, he will surely be after it," he explained.
"Wow..." I shook my head. "I still can't believe it."
"Please, do not hesitate to ask me or Misako anything."
I smiled. "Thank you, Sensei."
He then walked away, leaving the boys shocked again.
"What?"
"How are you so powerful?" Jay asked, his eyes widened.
I shrugged. "I dunno."
"I'm still bummed that you get the protection of the greatest ninja in all of Ninjago." Kai put a hand on his hip.
"Pfft. You're just bummed because it's Lloyd protecting her and not you." Cole chuckled.
"I am her boyfriend."
"Steering away from the topic..." Zane cut in. "Scarlett, this is a very relaxing moment. Maybe you should change into something like us."
"Yeah," Jay agreed. "It's really hot out!"
"You guys look like you're at the beach." I shivered. "I'm not a beach-y person. And besides, two of you don't have shirts on. What would like us mean?"
"Got us there." Cole shrugged.
"Heat doesn't affect me much." I chuckled and made a small flame in my hand. "My fire's hotter than Kai's."
"Oh yeah?" Kai smirked, walking toward me. "Let's see about that."
"You can stop right there." Cole grabbed his shoulder, pulling him away.
"Wait." Zane stepped forward, hushing us all. "Do you hear that?"
"I know you don't want to face your father, but there's no other choice..."
"But perhaps there is. I used to think it was inevitable, but then I found this."
"Now that's a conversation I wanna be part of," I said, the guys and I walking over to the other group.
When we were close enough, Cole said, "You mean maybe Lloyd doesn't have to fight? This I gotta hear."
Misako then began explaining. "The scrolls say that when the Helmet of Darkness is bequeathed to its rightful ruler, the Celestial Clock will count down to the activation of an unspeakable weapon. The first sign that the final battle between good and evil has begun."
"Did you just say, unspeakable weapon?" Kai asked.
"Uh, I'm still stuck on what bequeathed means..." Jay mumbled.
"Go on, Misako. Don't let us interrupt you. How do we stop the Final Battle?" Cole questioned.
"There is nothing here that explains what would happen if the Helmet of Darkness is... returned."
"Interesting..." Wu said. "Remove the helmet, the clock starts. Put it back, the clock stops."
"And the Final Battle never starts!" Lloyd smiled.
"Bequeathed... anyone? Is anyone gonna help me out with that?" Jay looked around for help.
Kai ignored him, "Uh, that sounds great and all, and I know we have our new powers... but you expect us to get past his whole army of Stone Warriors and put the helmet off his head?"
"My brother's right," Nya agreed. "They're good, but not that good."
"I know. And that's why I am going to do it." Misako grinned. "I'll just need a little help." She pulled us over and began explaining her plan.
She left Lloyd out, however. I turned around to see him frowning at Sensei—stuff with the whole Final Battle again, I guess.
And if I had to be honest, Misako's plan was pretty deceptive.
We were dressed up as Stone Warriors, Kai and Zane holding Misako captive. Jay, Cole, and I held spears.
Cole knocked on the wooden gate, and it was pulled up. We all walked in.
Misako began to struggle. "Unhand me, you fiends!"
When the gate shut, Jay flinched. I don't think most of us noticed.
A red warrior, I assume the general, came to us. He spoke in a language that none of us knew.
"Uh, what did he say?" Cole whispered.
"I dunno!" Kai shrugged.
"I believe it is ancient language," Zane told us.
"Well, somebody better say something..." Cole took a deep breath and began saying random sound effects. The others followed, but when Jay repeatedly said bequeathed, I gave up and kept my mouth shut.
Good thing the general didn't look at me.
Another good thing, Misako covered it up. "That's right, you caught me. But I'll never tell you where our base is, and you won't hear another peep out of me unless you take me to Garmadon."
The general glared at her, and she gasped. He then grabbed the rope that tied her and began bringing her to where she wanted to go. Misako continued the fake struggling.
"Looks like the plan is coming together." I looked at the boys, then the entire army. "Guess we're gonna have to keep this charade up 'til Misako gets back with the helmet. And Jay? Bequeathed is a real word, so don't use it."
*No POV*
Garmadon slept peacefully until his tent was opened. "I said that I was not to be disturbed!"
"Forgive me, my lord. But we have a prisoner who knows the whereabouts of your son's rebel base," Kozu said.
Misako then walked in and Garmadon stared. "Misako..."
"It's been a while." She only smiled at him.
"I, uh..." He had no words for his wife. "Release her."
"Yes sir." Kozu then left.
"Take off that silly helmet. Let me get a good look at you." Misako smiled, going for the helmet.
Garmadon stopped her. "If you don't mind, I'd rather not."
"How about this? It's ice to see you!" Zane stood stiff.
"I dunno, I feel like you could do better." Jay shook his head.
"I swear I've heard that one before," Cole agreed.
"Ugh, I feel like a clunky mule in this thing." Kai looked down at himself.
"Please. I feel so compressed." Scarlett leaned on the rock behind her, sighing.
"Geez, you're not the only one—" Jay began.
"What do girls have that guys don't?" she cut him off.
The guys looked at each other for a few seconds. "Oh..."
"Oh yeah, and you aren't flat either, so—h- hey! That's cold!" Before Kai could finish, Zane froze him from the neck under.
Scarlett blushed at his comment. "Thank you, Zane."
"Trust me, we don't need any distractions right now."
"Distractions?" She shook her head. "Jay, I am not a distraction."
"Do you want us to break it to you?" Cole looked at her.
Scarlett sighed. "No..."
Kozu then came in and screamed at the ninja for just lounging around—not that they understood him.
"Uh, is he talking to us?" Kai questioned.
"I think he wants us to get working," Zane translated.
Another scream, and they were up on their feet. Jay tripped, hitting Zane in the foot, so the two began wobbling away. Cole and Kai saw this, and did the same thing. Scarlett looked at Kozu, nervously chuckled, and ran behind the boys.
"So you know where our son is hiding... but I suspect you won't give him up so easily." Garmadon pulled a sword from the wall and pointed it at his wife. "I know you too well, Misako. Why did you allow yourself to get caught?"
"Because..." A step toward him. "I know you don't want to fight as much as Lloyd doesn't want to fight."
"Lloyd doesn't want to fight?" Garmadon mumbled, a bit surprised. He then spoke louder so she could hear his evil, even though he faked it. "I mean, so Lloyd doesn't want to fight?" A laugh.
"If you are still the man I once loved, I know you'd never want to see him harmed."
"But it is foretold—it is our destiny. I don't care about him! I only care about turning Ninjago into my own image!" It hurt him, so much, to say that. But he refused to show his wife his weakness.
Even Misako was shocked by his words. "Then you are not the man I married. I should go." She began to walk away, but was stopped.
"No, don't!"
In surprise, she turned to hear him.
Garmadon finally took off his helmet and put it to the side. "Misako... I may look different, and evil may now course through my veins, but I am still the same man standing before you. I want you to rule by my side!"
"Aw man, no matter how many bad situations we get ourselves out of, we never seem to be able to escape chores!" Jay whined.
"What is that thing?" Cole asked, looking up.
"It must be the unspeakable weapon Misako was talking about," Zane answered, staring at the giant machine in front of them.
"Look, guys." Cole turned his head. "An elevator—sweet!" He was going to walk in, but Kozu yelled at him. "Alright, relax, relax. We get it. God, what is wrong with these guys?"
Walking up the ramp, Kai looked down at a weapon under the rail. "I don't know about you, but that just looked like some sort of massive canon."
"I don't like canons... what do you think it's for?" Scarlett asked.
"I don't know, how about to destroy us?!" Jay whispered sarcastically.
A Stone Warrior then appeared and hit Cole in the head with his staff. "Hey! Why don't you bonk someone your own size, half-stack?"
The warrior didn't listen, and he knocked him off. "That guy seriously had it coming!"
"Oh, does that mean we've blown our cover?" Scarlett asked, even though she knew just as much as the others the answer to that.
"Ninja-Go!" Everyone did spinjitzu, going back into their ninja suits.
"Whew! I feel so much better!" She smiled.
The Stone Warriors began running up the hill to reach the ninja. Zane stepped up. "At least we get to break the ice!" Ice came out of his sword and the ice caused the warriors to slip.
"Nice one, Zane!" Kai put a hand on his friend's shoulder.
"Now you're cooking with gas!" Jay stabbed his sword into the ground, lightning coming out of his sword and electrocuting the warriors. "Or should I say electricity?" The elevator went down. "Going down?"
"Save some lines for us, Jay!" Cole picked up a rope. "I wouldn't want us to bowl over the competition!" He then tried to attack the warriors, but missed. "Oh, this is bad. This is really, really—!"
He hit the barrels. "Bad..." Scarlett helped him to his feet.
"Let's get Misako and get out of here!" Kai shouted. They all did spinjitzu and went down the ramp.
