   *No POV*

     The ninja, Nya and Red, Dareth, Wu, Misako, and Garmadon all stayed in a classroom at Darkley's school, celebrating their victory.

     "I'd just like to say something." Kai raised his glass of juice in the air, everyone in the room turning to the fire ninja. "Everyone in this room did something incredible when it came to facing the Overlord. But tonight... I'd like to make a toast to two special people."

     He looked at Scarlett and Lloyd, who sat in between Zane and Nya. "Scarlett, the Green Ninja is supposed to be your protector, but it's clear that you were the one protecting him. You did so until the end of the battle—and to finish it all off, you risked your life to save Lloyd's, finding your true potential."

     Scarlett looked at him, smiling as he finished. "I'm proud of you, proud to call you a ninja. And proud to call you mine." He walked up to her and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

     She pecked him on the lips. "Aww, Kai..."

     "Hey, keep it PG you two..." Dareth pointed at Kai, playfully glaring.

     The fire ninja then chuckled. "And the one who finished it all. The one who saved Ninjago from the Dark Lord." Kai looked next to him, facing the Golden Ninja. "Lloyd, you did something brave. Braver than all of us—risked all your strength and defeated the Overlord by yourself. You're the greatest hero to ever live."

     Everyone surrounded Lloyd and Scarlett. They gave them pats on the back, Red raising his glass of juice.

     "To Lloyd and Scarlett!"

     Everyone else in the room joined in. "To Lloyd and Scarlett!"

     "Can I add something?" Lloyd rose. "As the one who defeated the Overlord... I'd just like to say that it wasn't by myself. It was with the help of everyone here... so I'd like to thank each and every one of you.

     "Scarlett, helping me through everything. But everyone else, too." The ninja looked at everyone, smiling. "This was a dangerous battle, and you all risked something fighting. I'm glad to be part of such an amazing team."

     "Here, here!" Jay grinned.

     "You said it," Cole agreed.

     "Yes." Zane nodded.

     The two in the middle looked at each other and smiled. The battle was tough, but they all made it through.

     "Looks like this is the end," Scarlett said.

     "Not necessarily." Lloyd shook his head. "It's the end of the Final Battle, but not of our journeys together. Who knows? There could be something else lying in wait."

     "Yeah." She nodded. "And if it happens, we'll be ready."

     She then hooked her arms around Lloyd and Nya next to her. "But right now, we celebrate!"

     Everyone else cheered, agreeing. They celebrated the night with dancing, singing, and the elders relaxing.

     The greatest evil had been defeated, but that wasn't the end of their adventures.

     There would always be a need for a ninja.
