Chapter 8
Third POV
This wasn't what was meant to happen.
No. Not like this at all. Sadhil was meant to be sitting on this bed, not Addhya. Addhya wasn't meant to be dying, Sadhil was. This fate was reserved for someone like Sadhil, not Addhya.
Yet here she lied as the doctors told him she barely had any time. She was taking her last breathes right now and it was all Sadhil's fault.
He was tired of Addhya sticking around with him, that drunken mess. The fact that his sister had to lie on this bare white sheets instead of living her life, maybe even getting remarried made him beyond angry. She can't seem to let go of Sadhil, even though he ruined her life so easily.
"Sadhil," Addhya mumbled, the machine beeping behind her. Amir try to control my anger at the two syllable word, the word that caused her so much pain yet she still calls out. Sometimes, he just wished he never existed.
He clutched his phone is anger or maybe at disgust of what he has done. His sister was dying because of a mistake that lousy hit man he sent did.
"Why do you still say his name?" He asked out loud, unable to resist himelf. "He ruined your life Addhya! Everyday, you call me, unable to rest, unable to smile yet you still remain with that drunken mess. Where did your common sense go? You wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for him, you'd be happy chasing a career."
Addhya ignored him, her hands clenching the rails across her bed. "Because -" she started off before breathing in slowly. "I love him." Every word she said was slowly, in between breathes as if it pained her.
"Bullshit," Amir replied, his tone becoming louder. "You loved the idea of love. Didn't movies say that you're lover will sacrifice everything for you? That he'd save you? He's the reason why you're lying here, Addhya."
"Face reality," Amir snapped. "I'm sorry I couldn't save you from that monster in time."
His words were sincere. He couldn't save his sister from love, from this desire she has to meet the same man she was running from and he couldn't save his only sister from lying on this bed. Tears blurred his eyes as he turned his back on his only sister.
Amir opened the door, leaving the room to only bump into Sadhil. With a quick swipe on his cheeks, all the remains of that room were gone and fury took its place. All Sadhil did was sit on a chair but to Amir that didn't matter. All he wanted was Sadhil to disappear, to be gone.
Sadhil got up, wiping away a few tears. "I need to go in," he said quickly, brushing past Amir. Before he entered the room, a flash of anger overtakes Amir and he slammed an arm over the doorway.
"You're not going in," Amir told him. "Where were you? Right! At the police station for drink driving. Should have thought that before you called an ambulance."
"You're the reason she died. Remember that," Amir sneered at him, fury running deep in his mind as he plotted for revenge.
Amir stood still over the doorway as Sadhil pushed him into the room, not caring if Amir got hurt. Amir stared from the floor he fell on, watching Sadhil run to Addhya's side.
The constant beeping stopped as soon as Sadhil reached her side. A small smirk appeared on Amir's face as he glared at Sadhil. Sadhil stared at Addhya as if she might have still been alive, holding her freezing hand. He watched every movement she made, praying for her to just say something.
Nothing happened. Amir got off the floor, brushing his jeans as he stared at the couple.
"That should have been you," Amir angrily said, his tone sharp, the words indicated to sting. He walked out of the room as Sadhil stared at his retreating figure, realizing the truth.

#random do you guys even enjoy flashbacks? I feel like flashbacks are a huge part of this story and some people find them annoying.
How was the chapter? I'm not that experienced in the emotions department hence the reason why it's third POV. Also because I wanted you guys to see Amir's side of the story.
I also wanted y'all to know that you guys should check out Trance on ishipmeandchocolate which is my main account. It's about another villain but not in the way you think.
