"Hey Laurel," Trish says over the phone. "Can you help me with something?"

It has been a week since her meltdown. "Yeah sure. What is it?"

"I want to become a superhero."

"Oh, how am I going to help you with that?"

Laurel's not going to tell Trish she's the Black Canary. "Well, you did help the Green Arrow once and a while."

"Well, yeah."

"Could you train with me?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Laurel's phone beeps as the call ends.

Matt walks into the room, and grins at her. "Helping Trish Walker become a vigilante, Pretty Bird?" He kisses the top of her head.

She chuckles. "Yeah..."

"Does she know you're the Black Canary?"

"No, I didn't tell her yet."

"Will you?"

"When the time is right."

"Good." She wraps her arms around his waist.

"I love you."

"I love you too." He kisses the top of her head again.

"Thank you." She says.

"What're you thanking me for?"

"For legitimately loving me." She says. "Oliver never did..."

"Oliver Queen is an asshole who only cares about himself." Matt says, holding Laurel close.

Tears fall down her face. "I know..."

"Pretty Bird, don't cry." He wipes the tears.

She nods into her chest. "Okay..."

He kisses her gently. "You should get ready to train with Trish."

"Okay, I hope this works."

"It will."

"How do you know?"

"Because you're Dinah Laurel Lance. And everything you do works."

She laughs. "You're such an idiot sometimes."

He laughs with her. "Exactly."
