The Mario universe is filled with all kinds of characters like humans, dinosaurs, turtles, gorillas, and more. There's also some enemies Mario fights such as Bowser, Kamek, and more. But Mario has also battled lots and lots of ghosts and the leader of the ghosts is non other than King Boo.

King Boo is the King of all Boos and everything ghosts, he may not be the largest ghost but he is definitely the king. But all the Boos have been either attacked or defeated (not killed cause you can't kill something that's alright dead.) and guess who would be the ones to fight of the ghosts you may ask: why the Mario Brothers of course. Angered by these actions against the ghosts, King Boo plots his revenge. So he lured the plumber brothers to a creepy mansion and kidnapped Mario. Needless to say King Boo was successful at his revenge....Until Mario's younger brother Luigi vacuumed up all the ghosts, confronted King Boo and saved Mario. And since then King Boo has plotted his revenge time and time again.

King Boo is quite tough with super strength, and speed. He can disguise himself as another character, shoot out blue fire balls, turn invincible, and even manipulate electricity and can teleport himself around the battlefield. While batting Luigi in the first game, King Boo uses the Bowser puppet.

This is a fake version of Bowser which can create some spike balls, breath fire and suck opponents in its mouth. But if you throw the spike ball at the puppet's mouth the head pops off and King Boo comes out. Despite looking like him the Bowser puppet doesn't actually scale to the real Bowser who can survive black holes and a dip in the sun. Plus it can easily be beaten harder than the real Bowser.
