Darkness. It represents death, evil, and chaos. Today Link and Sora's archenemies are battling it out with dark magic to see who is the deadliest villain with dark magic. Which of these archenemies of  two young teenage heroes of light will win it out?

Light vs Darkness. A classic conflict between good and evil. Ever since the beginning of time light and dark have clashed several times. And today these two darkness leaders will clash.

Ganondorf the Demon King

And Xehanort the Seeker of Darkness

I'm Phoenix Mason and it's my job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Ganondorf

The Kingdom of Hyrule is a peaceful place fulled with all kinds of warriors, princesses, etc. But like every peaceful place we know the kingdom had evil in it, like Giant Spiders, a dragon who eats rock people...some red fairy. But the most dangerous fiend of all is the Demon King, Ganondorf. However, before he became a giant blue pig demon, Ganondorf was just a normal man.

Ganondorf was raised in the Gerudo Desert, as a student of magic under the tutelage of the Twinrova witches. But while the Gerudo have got some pretty kickass music, growing up in the desert obviously wasn't the best. Fortunately for Ganondorf and our viewers, his destiny would take him beyond the sand. Plus he's the reincarnation of the demon, Demise who happens to be the root of all evil. But in every generation he has been opposed by one hero: Link the spirit of the hero.

Ganondorf grew jealous of Hyrule's prosperity, and, like any good reincarnation of pure evil, wanted to take it for himself, including the Triforce, a legendary relic said to grant the wish of any who may touch it. But when it was finally within his grasp, two of its pieces rejected him. However, the one that stuck around, the Triforce of Power, was kinda the best, it gave him near invulnerability, incredible strength, and unlimited mystical power. It's only downside, or upside, depending on how you see it, is that it turned him into a giant demon pig.

Ganondorf is fast enough to dodge arrows point blank without even looking, he's strong enough to destroy stone walls and pillars with no effort, and he's tough enough to get back up after having an entire castle fall on him.

If he takes a hit by a powerful blow the Triforce of Power will fade away from Ganondorf's left hand, stripping away the benefits that it would otherwise provide to him.

But while the Triforce of Power supposedly grants him immortality, Ganondorf can still be slain, and is specifically vulnerable to holy weapons, like the Master Sword, though he has survived being impaled by one, and then killed his executioner with his bare hands. He's also extremely arrogant, often underestimating his smaller, weaker opponents, at least until they drive a sword through his head. But hey, when your a titanic, nigh-invulnerable pig sorcerer, you can afford to be a bit cocky.

Ganondorf: I am Ganondorf, the Demon King. Don't take that title lightly.

Xehanort

Over a hundred years ago, in the "age of fairy tales", the world was whole and full of light. People believed the light came from Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all worlds, which was protected by its counterpart, the χ-blade. With image of the original x-blade, the Keyblade Wilders started a battle in a legendary conflict called the Keyblade War a battle to see who can claim light, but ultimately darkness spread all over the world which resulted the x-blade shattered into twenty pieces, seven of pure light and thirteen of pure darkness, the "true" Kingdom Hearts disappeared into the darkness, and the war had caused the lives many, many Keyblade Welders. Years later after the Keyblade War some Keyblade Welders mastered the fragments of the x-blade, some use their power of light while others use darkness, including one of the Thirteen Seekers of Darkness named: Xehanort.

But before he was the one responsible for the events in Kingdom Hearts, Xehanort was one an ordinary young man living on Destiny Island. While living there, he couldn't help but wonder on whether or not there were more worlds than the island he lived on. But while he was wondering on what else is there in the world, a mysterious hooded figure appeared before him, and told him his destiny. Eagered to complete his destiny, Xehanort, somehow, managed to get off the island, and make his way to arriving at the world Scala ad Caelum, Xehanort met a Keyblade Master, who saw potential in him. Under this master, he began training as a Keyblade wielder, along with his fellow pupil Eraqus, who Xehanort eventually came to see as a brother. The two would often play chess and talk about the Keyblade War. Years later Xehanort would make his way to the Land of Departure to witness Terra and Aqua becoming Keyblade Masters. However later on Xehanort betrayed and killed his friend Eraqus took over Terra's body, put Ventus in a coma, and caused Aqua to fall into the Realm of Darkness. When the Terra-Xehanort hybrid extracted his heart, he ended up creating two beings. His Heartless; Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, and his Nobody; Xemnas. But if the Heartless and Nobody are killed off, then the original version returns.

As a Keyblade Master, Xehanort wields the No Name this grants Xehanort strength, speed, and durability it can turn into a Keyblade Glider which can fly across worlds in a matter of minutes. He also has his very own Keyblade Armor which increases his defense. Being trained to in arts of the Keyblade, and while he's in this Armor, his Keyblade skills are on a whole different level. He can turn his Keyblade into gauntlets, greaves and even into a set of wings. Not only that, But Xehanort can also summon Keyblades, create Corridors of Darkness, create pools of Darkness that slows down those who touch to a claw, and can generate a massive explosion that can kill everyone who comes into target. Xehanort is a master Keyblade wielder. And being a Keyblade master, Xehanort can materialize his Keyblade at anytime. Despite his old age, Xehanort can perform powerful, and, surprisingly, fast-paced combos.

Xehanort can fly, do a punch that's explosive, and even cause a Big Bang explosion. I've stated, what makes Xehanort more dangerous besides his Keyblade skills and Magical abilities, is his intelligences. Xehanort is dangerously intelligent, as he's able to predict what's going to happen, without him being there. He also is capable of using telekinesis. In his quest to forge the x-blade, Xehanort has been through thick and thin.

He managed to easily hold his own against and defeat Terra, Aqua and Ventus, without even breaking a sweat, managed place his heart and soul into Terra, creating the Terra-Xehanort hybrid, successfully, but only temporarily created the χ-blade, and like we said easier, managed to cause certain event to occur exactly as he planned. He's so strong that as Terra-Xehanort he took out all the Guardians of Light single handily. And has summoned Kingdom Hearts a few times before.

Xehanort is powerful he's not perfect, despite being powerful his old age can lead to his downfall, Xehanort rarely uses his armor, and prefers to use manipulation to get what he desires, as oppose to using brute force. Though, that doesn't mean that he's not capable of doing so if he's required to fight. But even then in Kingdom Hearts 3 he manages to redeem himself and expect the fact that he lost and when into the afterlife alongside his best friend Eraqus. But still despite his age, in his time Xehanort is so far one of the most powerful Keyblade Masters and the most dangerous individuals in the Kingdom Hearts universe.

Xehanort: The thirteen darkness and seven lights have clashed nine times, yielding these nine keys

Verdict

Alright the combatants are set let's end this debate once and for all.

The fight

In the Keyblade Graveyard an old man was walking along 12 people with Black Coats on with hoods on them. This group was the True Organization XIII waiting for Sora and the Guardians of Light to arrive.

???: It is time to see what will happen in the second Keyblade War.

As they continue walking, the thirteen Seekers of Darkness were stopped by a piece of the Triforce, to which floats much to the Organization's confidence. Suddenly, the Triforce piece floats to the left, makes a high-pitched sound, then the sound turns low pitched and dark energy starts to grow around it. The old man nodded this and tells the Organization to wait by extending his hand up. Then the Triforce piece starts to shoot dark thunder, and then the demon king Ganondorf arises from the Triforce piece, letting out an evil laugh.

Ganondorf: At last here it is.

Ganondorf balls up his fist as it shows the Triforce of Power on it with a smile on his face. The camera cuts to the old man who turned out to be Master Xehanort.

Xehanort: Hmmm (Thinking) I sense darkness in you, just like mine.

Ganondorf than points his finger at Xehanort and the Organization XIII.

Ganondorf: All of you get on your knees and kneel. Bow down to your new king.

However the Organization refuses to bow down, this made the Demon King angrier.

Ganondorf: I said bow down to me!!! Or you will be destroyed!!!

This however only made Xehanort smile.

Xehanort: You have no idea what you're up against. So if you make us go ahead. That is... if you have survived that long.

The rest of the members of the True Organization XIII opened portals and leave the scene leaving the two villains of darkness to fight. Xehanort summons his Keyblade called the No Name and faces his new enemy, who charges at him and attempts to punch him.

FIGHT!

Ganondorf throws a punch but Xehanort blocks it with his No Name and knocks Ganondorf back. Ganondorf quickly recovers and attempts to attack again but Xehanort teleports behind him

Xehanort: Got ya!

The dark Keyblade Master slashes his enemy in the back and ends him flying. The screaming Ganondorf crashes lands in a pile of Keyblades but manages to get back up. Xehanort teleports in fronts him.

Ganondorf: How dare you strike me? Prepare to fall on your knees and beg for mercy.

Xehanort: You first.

Xehanort raises his arm in the air and uses Quake and creates an earthquake, before Ganondorf could attack, he was once again sended flying by a platform that hit him. Xehanort makes multiple giant platforms. Meanwhile Ganondorf recovers only to shot in the back with Dark Firaga by Xehanort who was a distance away.

Ganondorf gets up and starts running and grabs a big rock in the air and throws it at his opponent, Xehanort notices the rock coming at him but uses telekinesis to stop it and send it back at Ganondorf and takes flight. The Demon King barely dodges the rock and keeps running as the dark Keyblade Master makes more platforms start rising from beneath his feet, Ganondorf dodges them but one came out of nowhere and sends Link's archenemy flying a back forward.

Sora's archenemy soon charged up his No Name and prepares for what's about to happen. Ganondorf who has had enough of Xehanort's one sided earthquake attacks takes flight as well and flys towards his opponent who uses Dark Thundaga but this time, Ganondorf dodges the attack and finally punches Xehanort in the stomach and sends him flying straight in the air.

Xehanort was crashing through platforms he created as Ganondorf teleports behind him using a Dual sword and is about to slash him but Xehanort summons his Keyblade Armor at the last second and protect himself from his enemy about to slash him.

Ganondorf however does another slash to seed Xehanort flying again through some more rocks which end up crushing him. Ganondorf watches this happen.

Ganondorf: I am Ganondorf, the Demon King. I am more superior!

Ganondorf uses his magic on the rocks and causing them to explode, however due to the Keyblade Armor's protection from light and darkness attacks, Xehanort was untouched. He gets back up in the air and creates Corridors of Darkness. However an angry Ganondorf gets angry and charges at Xehanort at fulls speed. Upon getting close Ganondorf lands another punch at Xehanort who fights back by slashing him with the No Name. Ganondorf and Xehanort use their swords and clash into a sword fight. Xehanort than prepares to do another attack as Ganondorf is about to stop him but Xehanort uses a Big Bang attack which sends shockwaves all over the Keyblade Graveyard and than an explosion happens.

After the Big Bang happened, Link and Sora's main villains are scene unconscious at the spot to where the fight began. Ganondorf gets up and sees Xehanort take off his armor and gets up as well.

Ganondorf: Enough of these games.

Ganondorf attempts to slice Xehanort in half but Xehanort disappears.

Ganondorf: Huh?

Ganondorf looks for his enemy who appears behind him.

Xehanort: I believe our game is not over yet.

Ganondorf attempts to slash Xehanort multiple times but Xehanort keeps on teleporting. Ganondorf has soon had enough of being toyed around.

Ganondorf: COWARD! Who are you!? Who are you!? Just WHAT ARE YOU!!?

Xehanort: You'll fine out...

The two villains take their stances one last time and face each other. Ganondorf charges at Xehanort but Xehanort uses Stopza to stop time and freezes his enemy in place.

Xehanort: You'll be out of you misery soon enough.

Xehanort slashes Ganondorf multiple times. Once he's finished Xehanort unfreezes time and Ganondorf is seen screaming in pain and falls on his knees as Xehanort walks in front of him 10 feat away

Xehanort: Your magic is far from my own. You don't stand a chance against me.

Despite being in pain Ganondorf refuses to give up.

Ganondorf: No. NO!! I'm the Demon King! I WILL NEVER LOSE HERE!!!

Ganondorf uses his magic and shoots out Electric balls of light at Xehanort who transforms uses his Keyblade, dodges the electric balls. Xehanort charges up his No Name.

Xehanort: Sayonara.

Xehanort shoots out a a large Keyblade beam as it heads towards Ganondorf which then impales him straight through the head, Xehanort than uses another Big Bang attack and explodes Ganondorf, killing the Demon King in the process.

After the explosion stops, Xehanort sees Ganondorf's hand that bares the Triforce of Power. Xehanort uses his magic and crushes the hand, destroying the Triforce in the process. The True Organization XIII arrives to see the victorious Xehanort who makes one last quote to his now deceased Ganondorf.

Xehanort: You lost. Here and now. You are impressive but your darkness is nothing compared to mine.

Xehanort let's out a smile on his victory.

Results

Now that was overkill right there.

This one was a tricky matchup to decide, both Ganondorf and Xehanort had so much impressive dark magic to counter each other

Quick heads up: Unlike Ganondorf's official Death Battle opponent Bowser, Xehanort has enough magic and a holly weapon needed to put Ganondorf down for good.

But while Ganondorf held the edge in superior strength and close range combat, Xehanort was no push over and had plenty of edges needed to take the victory.

First off while technically both villains are even in terms of flight and teleportation, Ganondorf had never been shown resistance to time manipulation powers given Xehanort the advantage in terms of speed.

Xehanort's magic and arsenal gave him multiple options to counter Ganondorf plus Xehanort has the distortion of Space and Time and while Ganondorf can counter this in someway he would be overwhelmed by that time of power.

Plus Ganondorf has been killed by magic and holly weapons in the past before and since Xehanort has light and dark-based magic he has many options to kill Ganondorf.

But then again while Xehanort does have Soul Manipulation abilities Ganondorf has been shown resisting these types of attacks before.

Ganondorf was tough opponent but in the end Xehanort's speed, magic, versatility, power, and holly weapon gave him the key needed to claim his victory. Ganondorf just doesn't have the key to grant the power of darkness.

The winner is Master Xehanort

Trivia

The connection between Ganondorf and Xehanort is that their both dark knights who use the darkness to fight the light and for domination. They both wield swords and dark and deadly magic in battle. Both they both are also the arch enemies of teenagers who wield swords of light. (Link to Ganondorf and Sora to Xehanort.)

This is the first battle to have a character die the same spot to where the fight began
