I love the Super Mario Brothers series. And I also know a lot about it too! so here are 20 facts about your favorite plumber. Also I'm lazy soooo yeah and before you ask did real research and if I get stuff wrong let me know in the comments.

1.Mario was originally gonna ride a plane and have a gun and he would shoot the flying turtles with the gun.

2.Yoshi was originally gonna appear in first Super Mario, but he was cut out do to the limitations of the NES at the time.

3.Mario and Luigi are actually twins brothers but Mario is slightly older.

4. Opona (Links horse that links rides) was originally gonna be in Super Mario 64, but he was replaced by Yoshi

5. The creator of Mario was not involved in Super Mario land or its squeal.

6.There are two unreleased Mario games,for the Philips CGI. The first one is called Super Mario Wacky World, this game is very unusual Mario game because You can't swim, slip, or run. Also Mario gets to go to Egypt, an Icey mountain, A science lab and many other wacky stuff this game has. The second game is somewhat called. Mario Takes America (and yes I know it sound retarted and ridiculous, but its true XD) anyway basically Mario would visit places around America like Texas, Los Angeles, California, ect. Thou Super Mario Wacky World only had one copy, but the Mario takes America game never made it very far.

7. Did you know the Super Mario bros series has a lot of Unused Power-ups
Like did you know the was originally gonna be centaur suit in Super Mario bros 3, but it was replaced by the toonooki suit. Also New Super Mario bros Wii was gonna have a chick suit shown below

The suit was probably gonna shoot fire balls, but it was replaced with Penguin suit (or what like to call it The Piplup suit XD)Also did you know the cloud suit had many different costumes shown down below.

One point the cloud suit was a devil suit based on Japanese demons and he would make red clouds instead of white ones. One of the most retarted power ups is the Toad costume found in the games costume code. The suit has no reason to be there

8.Super Mario Galaxy 2 was originally gonna be an expansion to the first Mario Galaxy called Super Mario Galaxy 1.5,but then the game had so much new stuff they decided to make a squeal of it.

And Mario was also originally gonna have a punching animation like in Super Mario 64 and some unused tennis models but its was somewhat unused.

10. Rosalina: Rosalina was actually gonna be related to Princess Peach and she would also look more like her

11. The Goomba was the last enemy put into the Original Super Mario brothers, because Nintendo thought that the Koopa troopas were too hard. Unfortunate the game was quickly using up all their data, so Nintendo decide to make the goombas sprite small by making the animation flip back and forth.

12.Super Mario 64 has an unused objects and items

13. Did you know that Super Mario 64 was not the first time Peach was given that name in the Western version. It was Yoshi's Safari (its a real game and it was one of the SNES games that used the super scope) that first used the name Peach

14.In Super Mario RPG Boshi's Japanese name is Waushi with makes him Yoshi's Wau counterpart.
15. New Super Mario bros DS has unused world icons.
So probably that worlds in the game were actually more like planets

16. New Super Mario bros was the first actual 2D platform (not counting the Mario Advanced series) in the 21st century, the last game was Super Mario Land 2:Six Golden coins. Also after the release of Super Mario Land 2 many fans stop playing video games, probably because some people (like me a bit) are more into 2D platforms or that the new 3D games are "too complex" and that they're missing a big part of there portion..(Or something)

17.Mario's first name was not Jumpman. His first name was Mr.Video and was gonna appear in every video game the creator made.
Luigi's name was taken by the pond named Ruigi meaning similar, because all of Luigi's original sprites are just recolored versions of Mario's sprite.

18. Wau= Bad (in Japanese)

19.Captain Toad Treasure Hunter was originally gonna be a Zelda game featuring Toon Link, but the creator thought it was just a test with actual Zelda characters. But when he found out it was gonna be a video game the game was shot down. But the creator believed that it would be a video game.

20.Mario has serious mental problems
