|\ Chapter II /|
'Holy Sugar Twists he's attractive.'
-
Soft snores where heard from inside the castle library. There, head faced down on a table was the youngest of the Albus family. His rounder cheerful face was placed on an open book that was laid on the wooden table.
Once again, he had fallen asleep while being lost in the arts of literature and the pleasure of reading. It was something that occurred often.
A female sighed from the entrance of the book filled room. She spotted her brother sleeping peacefully and moved over to him.
Her wavy blonde hair swayed in slight breeze and her loose fitting dress shined in the light. It was forbidden to wear dark clothing where they lived. There was many reasons for that.
"Kent." She spoke in a hushed tone, not wanting to scare the younger. No movement.
"Kent.." This time was a little louder. Still no response. An idea popped into her head, she quickly grabbed the book from under his head and pulled it out, making his head hit the table.
Kent shot up and blinked a couple times before looking around confusingly.
"Father wants to see you." She said, placing the book back down on the table.
"Oh, uh did I fall asleep in here again.." He questioned rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Yes you probably did." She chuckled. "You really need to stop trying to figure this stuff out Kent, you should just ask father if you have any questions."
"I know... but he already thinks I'm the most clueless, so if I can prove this then maybe he won't think that any more. You wouldn't understand Charmeine." Kent replied looking down at the book sheepishly.
"Yeah yeah, whatever. He just wants to see you." Charmeine sighed once again and rubbed Kent's hair softly before existing the room.
-
"You wanted to see me father?" Kent said uneasily as he entered the large room slowly.
Once the elder turned around to face the boy Kent bowed in respect. He was the king of course.
"Yes I did indeed young child." His father motioned him over and smiled lightly.
"Uhm, what do you need?" He questioned, sitting himself in a chair across from the man.
"I've been requested to take a trip down to the under worlds," He started and Kent's eyes widened,
"And I've been told that you take an interest in that type of stuff, correct?"
"I-I guess so, yeah." He replied instantly.
"Good, because I was wondering if you wanted to attend with me."
"Of course I would!" Kent coughed apologeticly, "I-I mean, that would be wonderful, thank you father." He corrected, bowing once again. His father just smiled and dismissed the boy.
Kent walked out of the room shocked and dumbfounded, he was going to the underworld.
The place where everything is dark and mysterious. People there are loud and outgoing, disrespectful and cold-hearted.
Just a couple of things Kent found extremely interesting.
-
A couple of hours later the door to Kent's room creped open lightly, revealing the oldest son Sariel.
"Father is ready for you." He spoke maturely and calmly. Kent immediately jumped up and wandered to the door before picking up his white converse
His outfit was chosen by the fashionesta herself Laliah, the outfit was quite bland, but it wasn't a formal meeting.
Light colours were essential so paired with his white converse was some baby blue ripped jeans. Over top was a loose fitting white T-Shirt with a silver dog tag necklace.
"I'm proud of you." Sariel blurted randomly making Kent stop in his tracks.
"I'm sorry what?"
"I said I was proud of you." Sariel shrugged looking back at the younger.
"But why?" Kent asked.
"Well, because father picked you to go with him. It's usually alwaysCharmeine or I, I'm so glad he chose you this time." He smiled as Kent scrunched his face.
"Oh, okay then. Thanks I guess..." He replied cautiously.
"No problem."
-
"Kent! Are you ready to go?" His father questioned glancing towards the door.
"Uh I think so." He responded.
"Alright then we'll be on our way." The elder motioned Kent out the door and smiled back at the castle.
-
The arrival wasn't the smoothest, it was pretty rough and unsettling, but that didn't make Kent any less excited. Once they were in sight of the under terrain Kent almost jumped out of his skin.
It was just like the books said, foggy and murky. Dark and baffling, anything unlike his homeland.
This was completely foreign to him.
People were scattered all about, doing various different things. Some setting fires, some sitting around eating and some even flying around on weird animal things.
"Kent come this way." His father lead him towards a shiny black gateway.
"This is where we are going." Kent nodded and followed his father along the long and stoned pathway.
Large dull, cracked stone doors opened smoothly revealing two sets of leather stairways. Much like the ones at the home castle, but more unwelcoming.
"Welcome." An extremely loud and powerful voice boomed, sounding a bit tricky.
The body with the voice came into view, revealing a very tan and buffed man with light red eyes.
"Ah Dunstan, this is a first I've ever seen you formally welcome a guest." The angel spoke, smiling sweetly.
"Well I did hear about our special guest here." The man replied, nodding towards the smaller boy, Kent.
"I couldn't miss the opportunity of first hand meeting the new and improved-" He was cut off by a cough from Kent's father. The dark man smirked and chuckled.
"That's right! You haven't mentioned it yet, ah what a shame."
"Can we just get onto business please." The light man said, trying his best to stay calm in front of the youngest son.
"Okay, okay. Just let me get someone to keep Mr. Pretty boy over occupied." He smirked once again and wandered into a separate room.
Kent used this time to ask a simple question. "What was all that about?"
"Nothing at all son. You'll learn one day." His father gritted his teeth and stood patiently.
-
A few long minutes later the man came back with a boy, who looked about Kent's age.
His hair was a dark blonde and his eyes where a blood red colour. The outfit that was picked was very dark, it consisted of a pair of black vans, black ripped skinny jeans, a black t shit and lastly a fitting black leather jacket.
"This here is my only son, Drew. He will be keeping your son company while we chat." Drew nodded towards Kent and smirked lightly.
'Holy Sugar Twists he's attractive.'
