Over the Garden Wall (+ Artist Questions Challenge)
Sorry for not finishing the contest prizes, contest winners. I haven't been in a digital mood lately, and I want to draw some of my own characters for my story. Thanks for all your support and kind comments last chapter guys, it was really heart-warming! Also, just to clear stuff up, it's not an Undertale fanfiction as such, and has nothing to do with Undertale, but it is INSPIRED off of it.
Anyways, about this picture. I really like it; the drawing itself could be better, but the colouring is really neat in my opinion. I don't usually colour traditionally well, so I'm practicing. I'm also doing a tag thing, because... Ehh idk. I usually don't do tags and challenges that ask you to say stuff about yourself or something, but a bunch of other artists are doing it, so okay. I was tagged by a few people, who I can not be bothered to name. :P
(Really hope the image shows up)
1. Self taught. I watch a lot of speedpaints and sometimes tutorials, but I don't take any form of classes or anything.
2. For my age, yeah. Sometimes, as I imagine we all do, I look at some other person's art, and I'm just depressed at how terrible my art is compared. But then, they're way older than me, so I have loads of time to catch up before I call myself bad ;P
3. All my life, by I started taking it seriously/publishing like June or something 2015
4. When I go into an artist's slump, or get art block, but most of all when people waste good art supplies. I don't care if you get prismacolours for ten bucks, I don't care if you get a pack of copics ever month. If you don't use them well I explode with anger, because if you can't draw, LEARN. If you're a slow learner, then you're not ready for those art supplies! Geez. I also hate it when people blame their art quality on the art supplies. The picture above is coloured primarily with crayola colour pencils on printer paper. I'm not saying it's super good, but still, it's better than some of the crap I see out of copics. I'm not targeting anyone on Wattpad, do not feel insulted if you use copics or prismacolours, I'm talking about outside of Wattpad. Mostly.
5. People.
6. 12.
7. Both. I do think artists are more talented when they do great traditional tho, not trying to insult anyone or boost my own ego. Think about it, digital art has unlimited materials and colours, brush types, can load images, switchable layers, everything. Not to mention the legendary redo button. I think traditional requires a lot more technique and talent to make a great traditional piece.
8. Me, some random little kid, and this boy at my middle school who said one of drawings was creepy. Ehh can't please everyone. Also, this happened at lunchtime at school.
Me: *drawing picture of Sans*
Random Dude: *comes up behind me and sees drawing* Wow that's so creepy! That's messed up.
Me: *creepily turns around* What... HOW DARE YOU! SANS IS MY FREAKING BAE!
Er yeah, I'm glad he left before he heard that.
9. Ehh... Too many people to count. But not majorly, I've just always had this burning instinct to try and constantly improve and be the best.
And I'm too lazy to tag. See ya folks!
