10 Years Ago.............

~Crystal p.o.v.~

I woke up the sounds of screaming and people running. I saw a bright light outside of home. My mother came running in to get me out of bed. "Hurry Crystal! The raiders are coming! We must get out of here now!", she said as more screams shrilled outside. I quickly got out of bed and followed my mother to see my father baring his weapons and wearing armor. "Father, what are you doing?! Don't leave father please!" I screamed as he came up to me. He hugged me tightly and put his necklace around my neck. "Go with your mother, Crystal and be safe. I promise I will be fine." He kissed me on my forehead then kissed mom and ran out of the house while my mother and I ran in a different direction.

I ran with mother until I looked back and couldn't believe what I saw. My village and home being burned to the ground right in front of me. Tears formed in my eyes but I saw the raiders coming. I quickly ran with mom to find a safe place to hide. I was hit with one of their arrows, but I kept running. My mother was not so lucky however. She was hit in the heart I gasped in complete shock. Using all my strength, I carried her to a secret cave. Once the raiders left, I began to try and help my mother. She stopped me and held my hand covered in her blood. She gave me a smile and squeezed my hand tightly. "You are a brave girl, Crystal. I want you to leave this place and find somewhere better for you. Your father and I would want you to continue your life. Please go somewhere safe and far away from here. We love you so much our little angel....." She gave her last breath and died right there. My family was gone......
