Personality | Mercutio is energetic and lively, and the word 'boredom' isn't in his vocabulary. He hates to see anyone upset as he truly lives for fun; he's one of those people of the firm belief that life is too short and that one should live in the now. Despite being a massive flirt by nature, he isn't pushy; he does have boundaries and stops when he's told to do so--and he already has his heart set on someone anyway. On another note, Mercutio is adventurous and is willing to try anything and everything at least once. He's open-minded for the most part, and really the only time he's ever blindly prejudiced of people is when it comes to the Capulets.

Likes | Wine, (wo)men, and song--Mercutio is rather hedonistic and he isn't at all ashamed of it. He has the tendency to sleep around and he can always be found at any sort of party in Verona. He loves being the center of attention, shocking people, and he also has a particular fondness for dancing, which he luckily excels at. He's always up for a good fight, often encouraging potential conflicts or starting brawls himself just for the fun of it. He gets a kick out of puns too.

Dislikes | Truly, he can't stand any sort of boredom, be it in himself or a random stranger he passes on the street. He hates all Capulets, more so than many actual members of the Montague gang do. He despises Tybalt specifically, and is his self-proclaimed nemesis; it's practically a daily occurrence for him to taunt the other man relentlessly. He has a general distaste for children--possibly because they remind him too much of himself, being as high-maintenance and noisy as they are--and most animals tend to stay away from him too.

Strengths | Mercutio is never at a loss for words. His wit is admirable, even if it isn't totally unmatched, and he always seems to have an arsenal of snappy comebacks at the ready. He's also fiercely loyal, although he's so loyal to the point where it might be teetering on the edge of a weakness. Mercutio is accepting of people who deviate from the norm, being one such person himself.

Weaknesses | He's a narcissist to some extent; he thinks too highly of his own abilities and overestimates himself. He isn't as good of a fighter as he believes himself to be which tends to get him into trouble when he bites off more than he can chew. He can be boastful, and he's also just a generally noisy person. He's never learned the meaning of subtlety. Also, Mercutio is a lightweight when it comes to drinking, which he unfortunately does a significant amount of, and he's even more of a brat than usual when he's hungover.
