My cover for this book for this aesthetic I think is my favorite one out of all of them. The guy on the cover is John Eyzen (or Jonathan Benamou), and he plays Mercutio in the French musical version of Romeo and Juliet (Roméo et Juliette). And while the whole play is in French, the 2010 version is basically my favorite thing on this Earth--especially John Eyzen's performance as Mercutio. (Although everyone in that version was fantastic, I think.) I really enjoy the way he portrays the character (flamboyant, noisy, almost certainly bi, maybe a little vain, maybe a little unhinged, etc.) not to mention that I love his voice and he seems like a genuinely sweet guy too. The whole musical was actually a lot of my inspiration for this, and if you're interested in seeing if you'll like it too, I definitely recommend watching/listening to the opening number Verone, specifically from 2010. (And talk to me if you're interested in more songs after that!)

If you made it all the way down here, I congratulate you for slogging through a paragraph of me singing John Eyzen's and Roméo et Juliette's praises.
