My mom just said that the fact I had to go through years of verbal abuse doesn't matter because I'm here now. That's not what she said exactly but that's what she basically meant. Like, mom, I love you, but the fact that my dad screamed for hours at me every time I messed up is gonna stay with me for the rest of my life and there's nothing you can do about that.
