I just saw this thing on Twitter of a person ranting about people drawing Grian as chubbier, non-clear-skinned, etc. And it's really ruined my day

Like, that's how I draw him because it's how I see his character. I'm not making fun of him or anything, it's literally just how I see his persona. And of course, the argument of "It's what he looks like irl, you should draw him that way" is absolute idiocy, 'cause that same person drew Doc as a creeper, Cleo as a zombie, Iskall with a cybernetic eye. If you're going to use "that's not what they look like irl" as an argument, then use it all the bloody time.

A literal part of my style is dramatic shapes- short short short characters, string beans, big eyes- I don't draw highly realistic things all the time! I love to accentuate features in character designs.

I'm just really tired.
