Vivi yawned as she slid out of bed and the arms of Eddie. She could hear the man groan when he realized she wasn't sleeping with him. Smiling, she kissed him on the forehead.
"Babe, you know I have to go to work so I can support this family." She said, running her fingers through his hair. Eddie opened his eyes to see her doing this and kissed her hand.
"How about after work I can treat you to dinner at that fancy Italian
restaurant that you like? I'll buy for you." He said, making her blush. He started frowning, thinking about her horrible boss.
"Vivi, maybe you should get a new job. That heinous woman is driving you crazy and making you miserable."

Vivi sighed as she fixed her blouse. "Oh Eddie, if I could, I would. But this family needs me to help with everything and with Andrea back in school and Max still undergoing police training along with your freelance job, I need to work extra hard for us to live well."

Venom took over for a moment before growling. "If only I could grip her neck and rip her throat-!"
Ravage took over too as she nodded. "As much as I want to, I have her morals and ethics! I can't be savage as I used to. I just wish she let me take over more."
Venom leaned forward to caress her cheek. "We will get our moment again. Remember that Carnage and Anti-Venom are still out there. I have to protect you and the younglings from their wrath, my past..."
Ravage smiled and gently grabbed his hand. "You don't need to protect me. I just wish to fight beside you. With the two of us together, we can take on anyone or anything. But promise me that you won't harm that evil woman!"
Venom snarled, but nodded. "Fine, as long as you let me train with you from now on."
"Deal...now let me go. Vivi still needs to get to work."

Vivi stood outside her library with a shocked look on her face.

There was yellow tape around the library as policemen surveyed the area. An ambulance stood outside as well, carting someone into the back of the car. A crowd of people stood with faces of awe and agony alike. Vivi ran up to the police officer, her face full of worry.

"Officer, what is going on? What happened here?" She asked, her eyes widen.

The older man turned towards her, recognizing the woman from before. "Oh you are the one I had dinner with. Nice to see you again young lady." He tipped his hat at her before giving her a grim look. "Looks like there was a murder here that occurred last night. Witnesses say that not only was the woman who was killed had her neck broken, but she was covered with black webs too. Some are saying that Venom is the culprit involved."

"That's unfair judgement! How do you even know it was him that did this?" Vivi asked, feeling a bit angry at this accusation.

"We checked the security footage for last night. A strange black suited person, presumably male, came into the library after closing and confronted the young woman. He pinned her to the wall and screeched in her face, making her scream. Then it webbed her up with black tendrils. He stuck his claws into her chest and ripped out her heart. He laughed as the blood was drained from her body. Then with a chilling voice he said..." The old cop gulped before wiping his brow. "Now you are as heartless as people perceive you to be."

Vivi covered her mouth in shock. She knew that Venom always joked about killing Aliana, but she never thought he would do it directly. But this all didn't add up. Why would Venom kill her?

"We were reported to locate Venom and bring him into custody once and for all. Spider-Man himself is helping us out too, saying that he knows where Venom hangs." The cop placed a hand on her shoulder. "The library will be closed for awhile for the case."

"Oh my gosh...." Vivi whispered, falling to the ground. "I never wanted her to die. She was cruel, but I would never wish death upon her."

"Vivi? What are you doing out here?" The woman turned to see Carlton Drake standing behind her with a shocked look on his face. "What happened here? I saw the news about a murder?"

The floodgates opened as she cried into his chest. Carlton was surprised as he wrapped his arms around her to soothe her woes. What she didn't see was the smirk that was rising on his face.
This is perfect! She has no idea what has happened!
And we framed that stupid webhead Venom! Now to seal the deal...

"Vivi listen, I believe that the library will be closed for awhile." He said, offering her a tissue. "I know a place where you can work for a short period until you find a suitable job."

Vivi sniffled, blowing her nose into the tissue. "You do? Where at?"

Carlton gave her a gentle smile. "You can come and work at the Life Foundation with me! I know that in the beautiful head of yours is a smart brain. Even if you don't want to become a scientist, we can always use some secretaries!"

"Really? This is so sudden!" Vivi said, brightening up. "I can't accept this offer Carlton! This is your job after all. I don't want to intrude or anything..."

He took her hands in his own and smiled. "There's nothing I wouldn't do for you. You are one of the few women that I find intriguing and brilliant. You deserve a job where you are appreciated and can work without stress!"

"Well if you insist...I guess I can go! Thank you so much Carlton!" Vivi smiled brightly. "I can't wait to work with you! What kind of job did you say you worked at?"

Carlton grinned at her. "Do you believe in extraterrestrial life?"
