She Blinded Me With Science
It's poetry in motion
She turned her tender eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmonyMm, but she blinded me with science
She blinded me with science
And failed me in biology, yeh yeh

"Okay guys, I'll be out on my first day on the job! Andrea, you are in charge of dinner. Max, try not to let her burn the dish. And Eddie, have a good day at work!"
The symbiotic family looked up and gaped at what they were seeing. Vivi's red hair was combed and laid down on the edges. She had fat curls rolling in her shoulders and a cute black hairband sticking out of it. Since it was winter, she wore a red turtleneck sweater, black jeans, and matching fake Uggs. On her body was her new official Life Foundation labcoat. Andrea let her spoon fall into her cereal in shock. Max couldn't stop pouring the orange juice. Eddie rubbed his eyes before grinning widely.
"Love the new look honey." He walked around her, making her blush. "Did you change your look for me?"
"No...this is my work outfit. Carlton picked it out when we went shopping the other day." She corrected him, taking the toast out of the toaster.
Venom started writhing in anger inside Eddie as he did the same. Both of them didn't trust Carlton/Riot as much as they could thrash him. Something told him not hurt him when Vivi was around. How she couldn't sense this guy is beyond him. Maybe she needed to enhance her bond with her symbiote or something.
"Why do you even bother going back to work for that guy? He just seems highly suspicious to me." Andrea said, polishing the milk from her bowl. "If I were you, I'd ditch the guy and find a better job."
"Andrea! I am trying to support this family from funds alone! I need to save up so that you all have a place bigger than this apartment to stay in." Vivi exclaimed, getting a bit frustrated.
"All she's saying is that maybe we talk about this as a family." Max put out before getting a glare from the older woman. He held his hands up. "Or not, please don't hurt us."
"Vivi I support anything you do, but this Carlton Drake doesn't seem like a guy we can trust. What if he hurts you?" Eddie held her hands with his own.
What if he hurts Ravage too! Venom said in his mind. I would not be able to handle myself if I saw both our girls hurt.
"I know you are worried about me, but I can handle myself. I've got the best partner in the entire galaxy to help me plus we are getting better with controlling our power. Something we should all do as a family soon." Vivi kissed Eddie on the cheek. "Besides, I would never betray or hurt you. So try not to get jealous of my boss please?"
"I will try to fight off my urges. Have a good day at work." Eddie smiled as he watched her walk out the door. His face fell as he snarled. "Kids, we have to watch out for your mother."
"Since when did she become my mom?" Andrea joked, snickering with Mania.
"I don't mind calling her my mom. She's a nice enough person. Plus, she gives Toxin candy when he's a good boy." Max said, high-fiving his partner as he came from his arm.
"Regardless, we should watch out for her. I think there's more to this company than meets the eye." Eddie said, Venom agreeing with him.

"Donna! Guess who's coming to work today!"
"Leslie I swear if you don't calm down right now..."
"Not having fun being the leader now huh?"
"Can it Carl before I make your face look worse than it already is!"
"You all are bothering me. Why don't you all settle down?"
The special forces unit of the Life Foundation was made up of four individual assassins with backgrounds unknown. Their leader was the formidable Donna Diego, a feisty redhead with the Scream symbiote. Her second in command was Carl Mach, a sarcastic know-it-all with the Phage symbiote. The bubbly female was Leslie Gesneria, with the girly symbiote Agony. Finally there was Ramon Hernandez, the suave yet cocky owner of the Lasher symbiote. All of them worked to protect the facility from intruders and keep their boss, Carlton Drake, safe.
"Vivi is coming! I can't wait to be good friends with her! Did you read her resume?" Leslie squealed, feeling excited. "Agony and I were trying to guess what her symbiote was like all night."
"I'm pretty sure anything that red haired senora has must be as beautiful as she is." Ramon said, starting up the security system for the day. "After all, she is appealing to the eyes."
"Down boy, you don't want her running away because of your flirtatious nature." Carl replied, rolling his eyes. "And don't even think about stealing her. The boss called first dibs."
"Can you idiots focus on the task at hand? I didn't get released from prison to hear you talk about this stupid girl!" Donna screamed, getting frightened looks from her cohorts. "The real plan of action here is to get her on our side so that we can take down that stupid father of the symbiotes!"
"Why aren't we getting help from Anti-Venom on this mission? He and Venom are nearly on par with each other!" Leslie pointed out.
"Anti-Venom has his own mission right now. But Riot wanted us to get Vivi's symbiote in on the action. Think of this as family bonding." Donna explained, making Leslie and Ramon nod.
"Family bonding? I think we are more classified as an amalgam of abominations." Carl sighed. "But I'm willing to hear the plan out. Not like we got much going for us anyways."
Donna grinned and brought her squad in. "Alright, here's what we're gonna do..."

"You must be the new girl I've been hearing about. Welcome to the Life Foundation!"
Vivi smiled at the woman who had greeted her at the door. After getting pass security, making Ravage irritated from the constant prodding, she had finally entered the main building. The glass windows made the whole place feel like walking right into a science fiction book. Labcoats as the eyes could see walked by her. Computers and laptops were running with pictures of space and biological discoveries. Her heart started to race as she thought of what she was here to do.
"I'm happy to be here. I've never been in such a highly advance laboratory before. Not since Norman Osborn invited me to visit Oscorp at least." Vivi said, remembering the time when she and Peter were allowed to tour the place thanks to knowing Harry.
"You got to see Oscorp? No way! I'm so jealous! I'm Dora Skirth, I work with Mr. Drake here." The woman with glasses said. "I'm going to get to know you a bit better since your working in files. But please don't take or talk about what you see here. Everything is highly confidential."
"I promise. I've developed a photographic memory after working in a library. Nothing will escape my mind." Vivi joked, using her new pass to scan herself inside the main hub of the place.
"No wonder he's got you working in inventory. A memory like yours will prove beneficial to him." Dora commented, leading her to an office just short of the main labs. "Here's your office and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to find me."
Vivi gaped at her new space and squealed on the inside. Almost immediately she started decorating the room, filling it with her book ideas and journals. More importantly, she placed a picture of her, Eddie, and the kids by her computer so she could stare at them all day. This was a new feeling, leaving behind her old free job for this new highly successful one. Was she making the right choice doing so?
"Hey newbie, got your first stack of paperwork!" A cheerful voice broke her out of her thoughts as Leslie walked inside. In her arms was a stack of papers. "Nice to see you again Vi! I hope we get along famously."
"You too Leslie! Thanks for the stack! Guess I have to start making a difference in this company." Vivi took the stack from her arms.
"You'll do fine! And, to celebrate your first day on the job, me and the others are taking you out for lunch! So you can get to know us better."
"That would make this transition much better. You guys are going to be a big help." Vivi said sincerely.
Leslie blushed and rubbed the back of her neck. "Aww stop! You are going to make me get emotional! I'll leave you to your work now. Have fun!" With that, the purple dressed woman left the room.
Vivi eyed the stack of papers on her desk before starting to shuffle through it. This was going to be a long day.
