Au Revoir

Now.

She was in the middle of masses, surrounded by bodies clumsily grinding against each other.

A slow song began to play...

Couples swayed back and forth to the music...

I approached her, and bowed.

"May I have this dance miss?"

She couldn't recognize my voice because of the mask, which is playing into my disguise.

She smiled, and took my hand.

So delicate, eccentric jewelry adorning her wrist.

I whisked her off into a wonderland of which she had never seen, showing her colors that she never knew existed in the lyrical genius of slow love songs.

Her eyes that I had fallen in love with lit up as we swayed to and fro.

Couples around us began to look in our direction, before we knew it, the whole teenage population looked in awe as we painted a story in our dancing.

I spun her just as the song was getting ready to reach its downward play towards the ending, she giggled in delight.

As the song was ending, I dipped her, shock taking over her features, and applause surrounding us.

I flashed her a smile, the outside world finally coming back to us.

"Another round of applause for Mr. Mysterious and Madame Blue night!"

The entire teenage population on the crowded gym roared with applause for us, as the air mingled between us as I pulled her up.

I had came to prom under that persona, to add to my mysterious final act.

I checked my watch, the time finally being up for me, the hands striking midnight had come too soon for my liking.

I was being summoned home, the commoners not giving me too much freedom, at least till I leave next week.

I flashed my last smile towards her, and turned to leave.

But she tugged my arm back.

"Wait, who are you?" 

"Sadly, I cannot tell you miss, but this is our final farewell. You have had my heart, and that's all you need to know" I bowed giving her hand a light kiss, her tantalizing scent emanating from her skin

"I...have your heart?"

"You do, my queen. My first love will always be reserved by you. But this is a farewell, since this will be the last time you see me."

"No, please, I have to see you again."

I chuckled humorlessly, a bitter taste lacing through my taste buds.

"Well, in till then, Au Revoir my queen..."

"Goodbye...my prince"

I turned and left, my back to woman that was my first love, and that had given me the first friend, my first memories in this barren wasteland.

Goodbye Emria, goodbye my queen, since this is where we end, and I move on with my life, into a new life that can be shared with another.

I wish no wrong onto you, and you have my best wishes.

Venom may have flowed through your veins and had flown out of your mouth at me, threatening to drag my under the currents of despair and loneliness.

My heart once submitted to your every command, only watching your receding shadow and love for another from a distance.

But no more.

Je t'aimerai toujours, my queen.

I will always love you...

And all of your Venom kisses.
