"Alright let's get started shall we!" Miss Mercy bowed at me and a White Man to the left of me. The same men who flashed the first light In the forest. He was sitting comfortably On a red throne unlike me I was stuck In a glass box, and their supposed to hate my kingdom for being unfair or something but at least I would've had a decent chair. More than decent actually...My father...She made him sound like a tyrant or like he didn't care about the kingdom's feelings but that's not...that's not my father..I left because I didn't want to be locked up not because he was a manipulator or abuser but maybe Im thinking too much about this because at the same time- 

"Hellooooo! Name Ma'am" Miss Mercy sang leaning on her podium. I jumped but let out a sigh, let the trial commence!

"My Names..V...."

Miss Mercy lifted an eyebrow. 

"Vengeance" I accidentally said out loud but no one thought that name was unusual nothing was heard from the courtroom full of people. "Alright Vengeance Your being accused of breaking Forrest Accommodation, Forrest Destruction, Defamation Of Character, The Liars Habbit, PA to The Captain, Disrespect to the Karma Constitution/ Company, and last but not least resisting containment/detainment. "What do you have to say for yourself Vengeance as a spy for the City there's no way to not be aware of the forest rules" She pressed, The white man to the left of me shook his head

"Take It Away" She smiled almost like she was watching her favorite TV show, no way she was amused by a trial. 

"This girl Is 14 years old and therefore not aware of The Liars Habit she also goes to an underpaid school In the City the Karma Constitution was barely talked about she did not know of these forest laws this was her first spy mission here You can't really-"Miss Mercy walked down the stairs of the big stage her podium was sitting on top. She glared at the man "You can't really think you can lie" She looked down at the man."Mr. Phoniex you do know I am empathic, I feel traces of deception In your tone, you are under oath!" Her voice grew loud. 

"I understand Miss Mercy" He looked down, his body shook, the man was petrified of this woman who seemed to be so childish and kind I didn't understand It but maybe that's another thing about this "forest society" Guess I'll have to ask my dad..heh my dad. I miss him

"Truth Is My-" Miss Mercy raised her hand high then balled her fist up she lowered It to his stomach "I hate liars" She punched his stomach region sending him flying, cracking the wall as well. The Church burst Into gasps. 

"He's gone and made Maveen Mad" One voice ooed from the audience. A kid clapped jumping up and down laughing "Miss Mercy!" She yelled happily. "Her Strength rivals that of Goddess's" A man mumbled. "Maveen" One person started. "Maveen" A Women Added. "Maveen" "Maveen" "Maveen, Maveen" The crowd chanted getting louder each time. She floated back over to the podium. "Maveen!" The people of the court grew louder. "Order!" She yelled banging the gavel. The court was silent now as I stood In shock. She has so much power as a judge...

"Anyway" She smiled. 

"Since your lawyer Is a hideous, two-toned liar, and I traced no malice In you I'm just gonna let you go!" She smiled brightly. A spark flew to me"REALLY?!" I yelled out. She nodded happily, her personality reminded me of our jesters"Yep Normally we would go through such a long struggle to find a better-equipped lawyer for you but enough I'm the judge I call the shoots!" She laughed after that.

A Man came behind me with a key unlocking the handcuffs. I was so happy I could've broken down, finally, I could go home, Finally, I could see my father, trying to explore the outside world was a mistake, the biggest In my life. I looked back at the man with wet closed eyes "Thank you" I was so happy I wanted to run out right there and never look back not worry about fights, the justice system, this stupid war brewing, or "Karma" Take her to the confession room. My heart dropped "Karma" I almost forgot about everything he's put me through all the anguish, betrayal, and mental abuse. I opened my eyes to see the one taking the handcuffs off me was Indeed Karma. He nodded at Mercy not speaking once to me. We walked out the glass room and of the court Into the hallway where he finally spoke up. "Im not just evil okay?" He said. "I don't want to talk to you" 

He quickly averted his eyes back away from me and up to the front which made me feel a bit sad because..I'm busted okay! I do wanna talk to him but...Why should we speak? He tried to get me arrested how can he justify that, The reason we had that fight In the forest was that he told me about that girl, just because he said It didn't mean anything that doesn't give him an excuse, he really tried to have his side piece turn me Into my father, he deserves all types of horrible Karma, plus now that I think of It he wasn't the best boyfriend In the world but It's whatever the past Is the past, we are never ever getting back together and after I get out the forest I won't need to think too much again I can go back to being a normal princess, my only worry will be my next tea party with my royal "friends" Although the princess life Isin't all Its perked up to be now that I've gotten a taste of the outside world I can't do It, adventuring Isint my strong suit anymore I'll find a new past time my stupid curiosity will never get the best of me again. We arrive outside of what I think Is the Confession room I reach for the nob but so does he, and for a split second our hands touch I feel something. We both jump at the same time, lock eyes at the same time, and have the same puppy dog eyes, and with him looking at me with a surprised facial expression It made me realize how handsome he was I was almost ready to fall In love all over again due to the compassion, I mean he was gonna open the door for me. That's romantic, right? Ugh, what the hell. That's not romantic It's just human decency I need to stop thinking of him like he's some gentle saint, the dude is a monster and a cheater no need to explore with him anymore. "Sorry.." He said while I lowered my hand he twisted the nob and allowed me to enter the confession room was..."Very Pink" Karma chuckled. "I know, but this Is Maveen's office since she practically lives here there's no reason for her not to decorate" I closed my eyes. "It's so bright" 'That's Ironic coming from you" He smirked. "I know right!" I laughed. "Pink's biggest supporter" We both sarcastically joked. We both laughed for a little, about 3 minutes, we were getting along, and I was able to be In the same premiss as him and not feel somber It was nice but then I remembered this isn't life, life with him Is not a possibility with him anymore, laughter can't happen, we're never gonna get that loft house with one baby girl, and canopy beds. "Listen, Princess," He said a hint of regret In tone. "No, I don't want to talk about that" I shook my head. "Just hear me, I wanna know what getting me on trial does for you" He sighed. "Princess, to be honest, It was the money your father was gonna pay a pretty penny to bring you back but adventuring with you was fun your curious but not naive, your smart but not cocky, It was like a tv show being with you every day a new objective no burnout but Instead you were like the sun, the day revolved around you and I couldn't help but be pleased with that, but the Karma Conditions were hired to take you back so they already knew our location, we decided If I could solve one more case I was really worthy of this Captain position I hold so I said fine than let me make an easy case so no one else questions me" He explained. 

"Wow that was a mouthful" He joked. 

"It was" I laughed. 

"I understand Captain, but why Is this dumb position even so Important"

"Your remember my mom right?" I could see the tears forming In his eyes. I placed my arms out "D-dont make a big deal out of this" he looked at me shocked but smiled he wrapped his arms around me "Even on horrible terms huh?" I felt his warmth, It made me somewhat happy, a bit at peace, It was better than letting him cry. 

"We don't have to talk about your past I know what you've been through, alright"

"A-al..." His voiced cracked

He stopped speaking and began to just sob, he sobbed In my arms and I held him, I'm not a monster. Leaving him to be lost In his thoughts would've been a horrible event, his family Is a hard topic.

I was met with silence as a response but since he was trying to stop himself from crying I knew he was listening
