Taehyung
“What?” Mi-Seul’s eyes go wide, and it looks as if she has actually frozen on the spot.
“Yeah, it’s good to meet you, Sarang. Never thought we would meet this way though,” I keep my hands inside the pockets of my jeans, my shoulders lifting in a small shrug.
I’m still wishing and praying that she shouldn’t be Sarang, but I know that I’m just moments away from directly hearing the truth spill out of her mouth, and it is already causing a heavy rush of blood within my veins.
“I don’t get it. Who’s Sarang?” She questions me casually, but I get it that she’s a little nervous going by how she’s repeatedly tapping one foot on the floor, and her eyes are roaming too.
“Are you going to keep me standing here?” My question breaks her nervousness, and she steps aside, allowing me to enter her home, and then she latches the door behind my back.
I’m mentally scrambling around for the right words to extract the truth from her, and by the time I finish phrasing the sentences within my head, Mi-Seul’s voice snaps me out of my thoughts.
“How do you know Sarang?” Her question makes me twist around to stand facing her.
“To answer that question, I need to first know if you’re Sarang, which I’m sure you are, but I just want to hear it from you,” I cross my arms under my chest, and she does the same, and to any outsider it would appear as if we are ready to grab each other’s hair and roll on the floor, fighting like dogs and cats.
“What if I’m not?” She puts forward another question but with more certainty this time.
But I don’t buy her confidence because it could very well be a distraction, and that’s the last thing I want right now. Letting out an amused chuckle, I stroke a finger on my chin, burying my other hand inside the front pocket of my jeans. “I know for a fact that it’s you because Sarang’s address points to your home, and you’re living alone here,” I state the facts that led me to the conclusion, but she reacts by chuckling in a belittling fashion.
“That’s a silly guess,” Mi-Seul shakes her head a little and pushes her hair above her forehead using one hand before she continues speaking. “Taehyung, all I can tell you is that I’m not Sarang, but you need to tell me how you know her. Sarang is a name that only Jake knows. So does that mean you’re Jake?” She raises her eyebrows at me, curiously.
This was a question that I didn’t expect, but it somehow makes me cackle. “Do I look like Jake?” I laugh, and it merely makes Mi-Seul roll her eyes at my stupid question.
“Nobody knows how Jake looks.” She makes her point, mockingly.
I divert my eyes to the floor for a flash second before meeting her gaze once again, and then I suck in a sharp breath, attaining a more composed demeanor this time.
One of us has to start releasing the secrets to learn who Sarang and Jake really are, and I’m pretty sure that Mi-Seul isn’t definitely going to be the first person to speak up.
“Look, Mi-Seul. I’m about to tell you something very confidential,” I lower my voice and take a step closer to her, using animated hand movements as if I’m about to disclose some highly discreet military secrets, and she curiously steps forward too.
“I’m not Jake, but I’m very close to him, and I spend a lot of time with him every day. So, I obviously know who Sarang is. But how do you know Sarang? And if you’re not Sarang, then why are the letters being sent to your address?” My mouth forms into a curious pout, and my tone morphs from a secretive whisper to a helpless whine when I finish speaking.
Mi-Seul laughs softly, pinching my nose with her fingers, making me scrunch my face a little.
“Taehyung, it’s the same. I’m not Sarang, but I know her, I’m close to her, and I spend a lot of time with her every day. She doesn’t live with me, but just like how she chose not to reveal her real name and identity, she also chose not to give away her real address. Does that explain?” She has stepped closer to me now, softly rubbing the spot below my ear with her hand and sliding it to the back of my neck and playing with the delicate curls at the nape of my neck; her eyes are searching mine for an answer, but I’m only blankly staring at her.
But right now, more than turning me on, her soft touches and the intense eye contact are acting like fuel to my thinking machine, and an array of questions begin to queue up within my mind.
She spends a lot of time with Sarang every day, and Sarang is also left-handed, plus, the two women are also close.
I think I got this. There’s no need to think too much.
My eyes, after wandering a little, lift to look at Mi-Seul, and our gazes stay locked for a few seconds, after which she raises a brow asking me what it is.
“Is it Hae-Yeon?” The depth of my voice makes my skin tingle, and I also do not miss noticing how Mi-Seul blinks her wide eyes in astonishment for a fraction of a second before they return to normalcy.
“Taehyung, we’re not playing the guessing game now,” she gently shoves me away by my shoulders and shakes her head a little.
Taking a step to the side, she tries to walk away when I stop her.
“Mi-Seul, it’s not too hard to guess at all. If it’s not you, then I’m pretty sure that it’s Hae-Yeon,” I speak with skyrocketing confidence that makes her swallow thickly.
Holding her by her shoulders, I turn her to face me and continue talking to her.
“Every time I visit the studio, Jake’s songs have been playing in the background, which means that Hae-Yeon is a fan of his. And Sarang said that she was left-handed. I, for a fact, know that Hae is left-handed. I promise that I won’t tell Jake, you can trust me,” I open her palm to face the ceiling and place my palm on hers, giving a reassuring promise by lightly squeezing her soft hand in mine.
She remains silent, diverting her eyes from mine and looking at the floor instead. And as much as it should throw me off, it also makes me think about how incredibly trustworthy she is, so much to the extent that she isn’t talking about a secret without letting her friend know about it.
I bring my hand to gently caress her jaw, stroking my thumb over her cheek, making her eyes lift to look at me with helplessness and doubt swimming about in her irises. “Hey, Mi-Seul, that’s okay, you don’t have to tell me anything. I’m sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable by asking these questions. I’ll wait until you want to tell me, and if you don’t, that’s fine too,” I lean closer and place a firm yet tender kiss on her forehead, wrapping my arms around her and engulfing her whole body in a warm hug.
She reciprocates by holding me close and nuzzling her face against my chest.
“Thank you for understanding,” her voice comes out all cute and cuddly, making me laugh softly.
“Thank you for being such a good friend to Sarang and keeping her secret safe,” I kiss the top of her head as I pour out my words of appreciation for her.
Mi-Seul raises her head to look up at me, and I cup her face in my hands, dipping my neck a little as she rises to her toes, our eyes closing at the same time, and just when our lips barely meet, my phone rings again inside my back pocket.
Groaning, I throw my head back, exhaling spouts of steam and glaring at the ceiling while I pull out my phone with one hand and hold Mi-Seul around the waist with my other hand, keeping our bodies stuck to each other. I don’t even need second guesses about who the caller is, and the way I curse under my breath makes Mi-Seul giggle.
“Can I come back and tell you what it is?” I speak over the call to Jungkook, grudgingly.
“You’re getting laid, aren’t you?” He does not make an effort to tone down his volume, and I have to actually lower the call volume to make sure that the woman next to me doesn’t hear anything.
“So what if I am?” I scoff at him.
“Taehyungie, should I ask her for her phone number? Do you think she’ll be intimidated?” Jungkook’s voice softens, making my shoulders slouch in defeat.
“Jungkookie, you should decide if you want to do that, and I don’t think she’ll be intimidated or anything. Don’t force it upon her, give her a choice, and I think it’ll be okay. Think about what you want to write back, and I’ll come back and get it done for you,” I keep nodding my head as I speak.
Jungkook lets out a long breath that sounds as if a storm blew on the phone, and then he speaks quietly. “Okay,” he doesn’t say anything more and ends the call before I do.
Locking my phone, I replace it in my back pocket and turn my head to look at Mi-Seul, and she’s already staring at me.
“I know I look amazing, but you don’t have to stare at me like that,” I could feel the heat in my cheeks as a result of my own corniness.
“Jungkook is Jake, isn’t he?” Her question makes my smile disappear in a flash, and my eyes fly to her face.
It takes me about two seconds to realize that I just made it unnecessarily obvious by being careless over the call with him.
“I- uhm- yeah,” I press my lips into a thin line, and Mi-Seul nods in understanding.
“I won’t tell her, don’t worry. I know they both are hiding behind their fake names for their own reasons, and we can’t judge them,” Mi-Seul expresses quietly, and I cannot help but agree with what she says.
“Can we forget about them for a while?” I tug her closer to me, pushing my hips against hers.
Moving some hair strands behind her ear, I search her eyes for an answer, and she responds by giving me a shy smile, nodding.
Bending my knees a little, I wrap my arms around her hips and lift her slightly, joining our lips in a smooth kiss as she wraps her legs tight around my hips and holds my face in her hands, tilting our heads to opposite sides to deepen the kiss further.
Every soft moan that she lets out is swallowed by me as I walk over to the couch with her in my arms, and I let out a deep growl when she traps my lower lip between her teeth.
“Bedroom,” she mumbles into the kiss, sliding her arms to the back of my neck and not breaking the flow of the kiss for even the span of a heartbeat as she permits me to take her to bed.
The rush of adrenaline makes me quicken my steps, and I reach the door of what looks like a bedroom in a couple of seconds.
Kicking the door open with one foot, I stumble inside with her in my arms, carefully lowering her onto the bed and hovering above her, our lips still deeply connected, our tongues tangled and bodies aching to succumb.
Mi-Seul places both her hands on my chest and pushes me away, forcing our lips apart. Leaning back with my knees on the bed as I straddle her, I watch her lift her T-shirt and roll it into a ball, tossing it away somewhere.
Without wasting another second, I swiftly unbutton my shirt and throw it to the floor, and Mi-Seul bites her lower lip seductively when she sees my half-exposed body.
Placing her hands on my chest, she drags them down slowly, sensually, feeling up every contour of the muscles on my chest and stomach, her eager eyes taking in everything, and then she glides her hands back up to my shoulders, smoothly caressing the curve of my shoulders.
“Lie down,” her voice comes out as a breathy whisper, and I obey, lifting my leg off the bed and laying down flat on the bed beside her.
She rises from the bed and throws one leg across my body, straddling my hips, naughtily teasing my rising bulge with her perfect round ass.
I let out a deep growl, fighting my eyes to stay open and to look into her eyes when she does things to me. And within a few seconds, I’m already thanking my brain for having not allowed my eyes to close because then I would have missed the sight of Mi-Seul unclasping the hook of her lacey bra.
She bends down, bringing her lips close to my ear. “You look so hot,” she whispers, and then her tongue swipes over the shell of my ear.
“What are you gonna do about it?” I flirt back confidently, and my breath catches in my throat when she drags her parted lips down the slope of my neck to my collarbones, kissing me just the way I like to be kissed.
She shuffles a bit, grinding her ass on my lower half, her lips kissing down my chest as she traces the path of her lips with her palm, feeding all her senses at the same time.
My body goes stiff, and my eyes roll back into my skull with the intoxicating pleasure, and I’m pretty sure she felt the way my erection just stirred and twitched beneath her.
“I think you should leave now,” she suddenly says, sitting up on my stomach, and her words make my eyelids shoot open.
“What? Now??” I question her in an almost annoyed manner, propping up my torso on my elbows against the mattress, also feeling terribly disappointed at the same time.
“Taehyung,” she breathes out, pushing some strands of hair behind her ears and keeping her gaze on my stomach. “I- I don’t want us to have sex and forget or regret it later. I know we just went on one date and everything, but I- I’m sorry, I was just too carried away,” she apologizes meekly.
“Literally,” I comment in a disappointed manner.
“Yeah, like literally carried away into my room. It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have misled you into expecting more,” she says in a sorry tone as she clips her bra back and climbs out from on top of me.
“Mi-Seul, wait,” I stop her when she bends down to pick up her T-shirt, and she turns her head to look at me.
“What if I don’t want sex? Can we just cuddle in bed for a while?” I raise my head a little and ask her in an almost pleading manner that makes her chuckle softly.
In a few seconds, we both lay cuddled in bed with my chest stuck to her back, and since I insisted on having skin contact, we both dumped the idea of wearing our shirts back. This feels warm and intimate, and it is my first time actually just cuddling with someone without having sex. It feels so comfortable, almost as if we are a couple.
Burying my face inside her soft hair, I inhale the sweet smell of cupcakes from her hair and the mild floral scent on her skin while I try to hold her closer if that’s even possible.
“Taehyung,” she mumbles softly, and I hum in response, after which she turns around to lay down facing me.
“It feels so nice to be held like this. Do you have to go back tonight?” She asks me, softly playing with a lock of hair that has fallen over my forehead.
“I have to, but just a little longer,” I whine, pouting, and she laughs softly, curling up closer to me to stay warm for a bit more before I can go back home.
Let me know how you're liking it so far.
