Epilogue
“Merida!” Elsa waved her hand as she saw her friend in front of her desk doing paper work. Merida waved back and stood up, walking to her close friend. She made a new pile of papers fly from another desk to hers.
“That’s not your style,” Elsa laughed and Merida grinned. “Yeah I know but it’s the downsides of being part of the group that fights against dark forms of magic. I really need to caught up in my paperwork,” she chuckled and she snapped her finger. Immediately a pen took some ink and started to write on the paper.
Elsa glanced at a photo frame on Merida’s desk. There were her three brothers, Hamish, Harris and Hubert who died three years ago. Elsa smiled sadly and Merida saw her reaction.
“I miss them both too,” Merida smiled warmly and placed her hand on her shoulder. “Anyway, time for our yearly reunion?” Merida winked her eye and Elsa nodded slowly. “Anna stayed at home,” Elsa said and Merida hummed in understanding.
They both went to closet and Elsa took out a silver and green colored scarf. Her fingers touched the soft and warm fabric gently. She had been using it as a portal key for these three years. Adult wizards can use portal magic to transport themselves to location where it has been enchanted to take them.
Elsa had done a portal key that lead her to a cabin at her old school. It was Hiccup’s home where they met every year after the fight that was now almost a legend that mother’s told to their children. This portal key was special to Elsa, the scarf belonged once to her one true love.
Elsa sighed and offered the scarf for Merida to hold too. “You sure?” Merida glanced at her and Elsa nodded while smiling. They both were now holding the same scarf and then the world started to spin. Sudden warmth was reaching them and they realized that they were in Hiccup’s cabin.
Smile spread on Elsa’s face when she saw her friends gathered. There was Punzie who was now well-known healer wizard and her husband, Eugene. They had their wedding last summer. Elsa went to hug them both and then Hiccup poked her shoulder.
Elsa chuckled and hugged Hiccup tightly. “How is my favorite teacher?” Elsa whispered and Hiccup chuckled. “New students are a pain like always but I’m great,” Hiccup grinned and patted Toothless. He had done an opening to wall where Toothless could stuck his head inside.
When Toothless licked Elsa’s hand she giggled. Her heart felt warm when she met them once again. Then she felt a slight sting in her chest and she glanced at her left hand. She started to roll the Moon Ring in her finger. She noticed that now it was glowing white even though yesterday it was looking smudgy like it had been for at least two years.
Elsa startled when Punzie placed her hand over her shoulder, “How is Anna?” Punzie smiled and Elsa smiled back. “She is doing great! Her wedding with Kristoff is next year. She couldn’t come now though but we were hoping that you would come to meet us soon,” I smiled and everyone looked at each other and agreed while laughing.
Hiccup had got us all sorts of treats. There were chocolates and some salty things. “Where’s Astrid?” I asked and looked around. Now other’s noticed her missing. “We broke up,” Hiccup shrugged and smiled.
“What?” Punzie gasped. “She just wanted different things in life but she’s close to me no matter what,” Hiccup hummed and took a sip of hot chocolate.
Suddenly Merida blushed and went outside. Elsa went after her and Merida was crouching on the ground and leaning her chin on her hands. “What is wrong?” Elsa asked and kneeled next to her. Merida sighed.
“You like him?” Elsa chuckled and Merida went red. “It’s.. well,” Merida muttered. Elsa laughed and hugged her, “Well, maybe he will make a move on you first.” Elsa whispered and Merida smiled shyly.
“C’mon!” Hiccup shouted from the door. Elsa and Merida stood up, exchanging looks and then giggling a bit. Hiccup raised his eyebrow as the girls passed him. He was humming a tone while he made everyone sit on the couch.
“Time for yearly picture!” Hiccup shouted and jumped on the couch. He pressed on weird looking devices button and the light flashed. Everyone was blinking their eyes and Hiccup run to check if the image succeeded. “Yup! Soon I can finish doing the picture but we could do something else while waiting?” He smiled and then he looked at Merida. He smiled to her warmly as he remembered how hurt she was when she lost her brother.
Elsa laughed and then noticed that the sun was already setting. “I need to go,” she smiled and stood up. “Bedtime?” Punzie chuckled. Elsa nodded her head, “Well, soon it will be anyway. See you guys later!” Elsa shouted from the door as she left back home.
Same time a child was playing outside. He was watching the sunset and seeing the stars appearing on the night sky. This time he knew that the rocks on the back yard might come alive. His mother didn’t believe him but his aunt and her boyfriend did. He kneeled down in front of a rock, his delicate face concentrating. He didn’t want to miss a single move that the rock might do.
“Show yourself,” the boy whispered with his voice full of anxiety. He poked the rock with the wand that he took from his aunt. He was too young to have wand of his own. Well, he had one but it was wizard kids toy and could do just small smoke puffs.
Boy kept staring at the rock, his platinum blonde hair was little wavy and it was cutted neatly. His azul blue eyes were shining in the moonlight and the place was quiet. Only the wind was waving the trees and moon keeping him company.
Then a single snowflake flew on his nose and he grinned. He loved the snow and he looked at the sky. There was a calming snow rain coming down, flakes floated in the gentle wind.
The boy waved his hand in circles, starting from low and going to his head high. He created a small snowman and he sat in front of it. Maybe if he could wish hard enough it would be alive?
Someone poked his back carefully and the boy looked over his shoulder. “Hey, you might need this,” he saw a hand giving him carrot. The boy’s mouth formed and ‘o’ before he took the carrot and nodded gratefully.
“How old are you?” The person asked and kneeled down while the boy was placing the carrot as the snowmans nose. “I’m 2,” the boy smiled proudly and then grinned. “Those are alive at night!” The boy pointed the rocks and the person who he just met laughed warmly.
Elsa glanced at the night sky as she arrived back to her home. She heard some voices from the backyard where she went. There was a boy laughing.
The boy saw Elsa coming to backyard and he stood up, running towards her. He bumped into her and laughed in excitement. “Mum, mum!” He cheered and Elsa laughed, petting his hair. ”You should be sleeping,” Elsa whispered and lifted him up.
“But mum! I went to meet the rocks!” The boy murmured. Elsa smirked and kissed his forehead. ”Oh yeah, what other stories you have to tell today!” Elsa laughed.
The boy startled and then smiled, “I was playing with someone!” He laughed and Elsa’s expression went to confused. “Played? With who?” She insisted to know.
Boy turned around and pointed towards the snowman. ”There was a man, he gave me the carrot,” the boy told her and asked Elsa to put him on the ground.
Elsa placed the boy behind her back, “Stay here Alex. Mum is handling this.” Elsa whispered and got ready, her hands were in protective way and her lips narrow. She saw no one but she sensed that there is someone watching. She held her breath and insisted the person to show up. It might be someone after her and her family.
Someone walked forward from behind of a tree but remained in the shadows. “Who are you!” Elsa shouted and was forming her ice magic. Suddenly Alex run to that person and to hug him. “No!” Elsa screamed while being worried.
Her heart shattered when she saw her son being lifted by unknown person. Then that person walked forward, holding her son. First she saw brown pants and feet without shoes. Then how there was a stick which that person used when walking.
The laughter that she heard made her heart beat again, the same way that it was beating years ago. Her eyes were tearing up when she saw a man wearing blue hoodie, smirking mischievously. His azul blue eyes looked straight into her soul and his messy white hair was shining in the moonlight.
“Jack?” Elsa whispered. ”He said he is daddy!” Alex laughed and clapped his hands.
“Sorry that it took this long,” the man spoke and placed Alex to ground. Elsa was panting, staring at him in misbelieve. “H-how?” Elsa mumbled. ”It’s me Elsa. You’re not imaging,” Jack smiled and took a step forward.
She was looking at Jack. “Three years and you’re back,” Elsa sobbed. Jack nodded his head, “Yeah.”
Elsa bit her lower lip and went to him. Her eyes filled with tears and she touched his cheek, still not sure if it’s him. Now she knew, he really was here. Then she got angry, angry for him being gone so long. She raised her hand and was about to slap him but Jack gently wrapped his fingers around her wrists. Gently he pressed her against his chest and she started to cry.
“I’m not the same I was back then.. Moon had some trouble to bring me back, I lost my wizard side.. I’m a full Spirit now,” Jack whispered and petted her head. Alex was looking at them both and feeling puzzled.
“The ring, Moon Ring. It has been glowing, right?” Jack said quietly and Elsa nodded. Jack smiled, “It was smudgy because I was gone until now.”
Then Elsa noticed Alex pulling her hand. She smiled to her son and lifted him to her arms. Jack ruffled the boys hair and Elsa sighed. “You knew about you having a child?” She smiled and Jack nodded. ”I saw the ring being pink that day,” Jack grinned.
Elsa frowned because she didn’t understand what he meant. Jack leaned forward and whispered so quietly that only she could hear, “I knew that you were expecting. It’s kinda Spirit thing to make sure that our bloodlines are being continued.. I didn’t know that it could happen so easily for half spirits too. I’m sorry.”
Elsa stared at him and then shook her head. ”It’s fine,” Elsa smiled and then she grinned mischievously. She yelled for Anna and that she should bring someone outside. Jack seemed to be confused.
Then the back door opened up and Anna had a muffled squeal when she saw Jack standing on the yard. Behind of her was a little girl, peeking. Elsa yelled to the girl and asked her to come there.
Alex jumped down from Elsa’s lap and ran to get the little girl. “She’s a little shy,” Elsa smiled and Jack was turning red. Jack was staring at the little girl, into her icy blue eyes. Those eyes were the same as Elsa’s but her hair was white as snow. Jack was panting and looking at Elsa with tears of joy.
“Her name is Ariana,” Elsa smiled and took the girls hand. “Hey mummy,” the girl whispered shyly. Jack kneeled down and smiled warmly. Elsa kneeled down too and petted the girls head. “Ariana was named after your mother Jack,” Elsa whispered.
“It’s daddy!” Alex shouted in excitement and looked at Ariana whose eyes lit up. All the doubt vanished from her and she jumped onto Jack’ neck. “Daddy!” She cheered and then let go.
”W-we have twins?” Jack asked proudly and I nodded. Then Ariana jumped into air and flew. “Look daddy!” She giggled in excitement and Jack’s jaw hang open. Elsa pushed his shoulder gently, ”She is a full Spirit like you are now. Alex has my elemental powers and is a wizard.”
Jack stood up, without saying anything but Elsa saw the happiness in his eyes. “Life has been safer now?” Jack asked and Elsa nodded her head. Jack sighed in relief and then he heard how Anna was screaming his and Elsa’s names. She jumped to hug them both, insisting to know what happened. Kristoff peeked from the doorway and was being shocked to realize who was now on their back yard.
“We will explain,” Elsa laughed and wrapped her hands around Jack’s waist. She was now happier than ever before, she had her whole family with her again. “Yeah but let us catch up first,” Jack chuckled and rubbed Elsa’s back gently.
