POV Merida

Elsa has been acting crazy for couple of days, she has been going through the library and trying to figure out a plan. She is desperate to get Jack back to her and she doesn’t even sleep that much.

“Elsa?” Anna spoke to Elsa who was behind of book pile. She was searching through parchments right now. I sat on a chair and stared at the two sisters. “Hey! Elsa!” Anna raised her voice and waved her hand in front of Elsa. Elsa blinked her eyes and lifted her gaze, “Did you say something?” Elsa’s voice was tired and her pale skin showed easily the round black circles around her eyes.

Anna sighed, “Listen, we are here for you. Me, Hiccup, Punzie and Merida. We will get Jack back. Anna smiled and Elsa’s expression was blank. ”Really Elsa, we will help you and him. We just need to find him--,” Anna said and then Elsa stood up so fast that the chair which she sat on fell down.

“I DON’T KNOW WHERE HE IS!” Elsa cried out loud. “J-just let me work, I will find him,” Elsa lifted the chair and sit on it again. She pulled out one parchment and ten more were rolling to floor. Anna glanced at me worried, Elsa was skipping classes and being obsessed.

Me and Anna left the library and headed towards the outside of the school. “She will be in no condition to fight if she continues like that,” I sighed to Anna who nodded sadly. We would meet Hiccup and Punzie soon and have a crisis meeting over Elsa.

Punzie and Hiccup were already on Hiccup’s cabin. “So she hasn’t found any way to help him? Or where he is?” Hiccup said while giving everyone a cup of hot tea. “No, no she hasn’t,” Anna whispered and played with the cup in her hands.

“She refuses to sleep and skips classes still?” Hiccup sighed and we all nodded. Hiccup rubbed his chin, “Can any of you make a potion for relaxation? She would need that, it seems that she has been tense lately.” Hiccup looked at us and then we all started to stare at Punzie.

Punzie shrugged, “I guess that I can do it. Just do you have the ingredients?” Hiccup smirked and walked to a cabinet, “Here. I bought it on my last visit to Hogsmeade but I can’t do it. It needs a few enchantments and well, I can’t do that.” Hiccup laughed and rubbed his neck.

We all run to hug him. ”That is great!” We all yelled and then Punzie started doing the potion. She made it look so easy but she is one year older than us. “So.. which one of us should made her drink that?” Punzie stares at us.

Then they all were staring at me, “WHOA! Me?” I exhaled. ”Yes! You’re Anna’s friend so you’re not so obvious to trick her.. like me, Anna or Hiccup would be,” Punzie giggled. I groaned and rolled my eyes, ”Fine give me that.” I took the potion and then I took a glass from Hiccup’s cabinet.

Quickly I headed to school and to library, it was easy to find her actually. We had a plan that the other’s would follow me little later. Elsa was still reading at the library and I poured the potion to that glass.

“Hi, Elsa,” I tried to sound cheerful but she ignored me. I cleared my throat and she quickly glanced at me. “Hi Merida,” she whispered and looked down to the book again. I sighed and placed the glass on top of the book. “I thought that you might need some energy, here is a drink,” I smiled to her.

For a moment I thought that she wouldn’t drink it but then she touched my arm. “Thank you,” she whispered and drank the potion. Then her eyes widened from shock and she stared at me. “W-what did you do to me?” She exhaled and stood up.

I used my levitation special ability before she fell to ground. I petted her head, “It is just relaxation potion. You need to have a break.” I smiled to Elsa who seemed unsatisfied but she couldn’t speak. I took her to Hiccup’s cabin with the other’s. Some of us worked as a decoy so we could do our actions in a secret, people would have questions if they would see Elsa floating in the corridors without ability to move.

POV Elsa

How they dared! Telling me that I should relax and now I am stuck at Hiccup’s couch while they left to sleep in their dorms. “Elsa, just.. relax and try to sleep?” Hiccup comes to tuck me in and I roll my eyes to him. “Calm down, we just want the best for you,” he chuckled and left to go to bed.

He put out the candles and the whole cabin was dark. I was alone, alone with my thoughts. My heart ached when first time in days I really had to think something other than finding ways to get him back. That something in my mind was him, how he looks and speaks to me. Jack, oh how do I miss you.

I wish, I just wish that I could feel what you feel right now. See what you see. Be with you. A tear rolls on my cheek when I close my eyes. Suddenly I feel something burning my arms, it hurts and I try to scream but I can’t.

WHOOSH.

All I could do was let my powers explode and the burning sensation ended. “W-what … how?” I heard a familiar voice that  warmed my heart. “Jack?” I whispered.  I couldn’t hear my voice but then after a pause he responded, ”So you figured it out.”

”Figured what out?” I sighed with frustration, I just wanted to hold him. “No matter where the Spirit is, Master can find him or her. It is the power of heart and mind,” Jack said with sadness.

So I am on his mind right now. That is not enough, I want to be with him. Touch his face -- , wait? How can I feel his face on my hand. I am now moving my hands, examining and my thumb brushes his lips.

“Stop,” Jack says and sounds embarrassed. “Why?” I whisper and pet his cheek. ”You’re moving MY hands right now on MY face,” Jack cleared his throat. What? I tried to open my eyes and then I see stone walls.

“And now you took my eyes, great,” Jack sighed. I lifted my hands up but they weren’t mine. They were Jack’s. I touched my body, no, his body. Jack gasped, “Stop that already. You’re embarrassing me.”

 I look down and I gasped from fear. I could see what the burning sensation was, Jack’s waist was all burned. “They used the flames of dragon.. in a rope that tied me,” Jack whispered. ”They didn’t want me to escape.. I wondered what the power escaping from me was but it was you,” Jack sounded warm. I realized that neither of us was actually speaking, we were having a conversation inside of his mind.

“Where are you Jack?” I whispered and I could feel his heart beat getting faster. “No, you can’t come after me. It will be too dangerous,” Jack said and I could now feel how he felt. “You’re caring of me this much,” I gulped and the feeling of love so big that I have never experienced before filled me.

“Don’t,” he pleaded when I made his body move towards a window. “So you’re in Burgess,” I whispered when I recognized the place where mom and dad took me and my sister to spend holidays. Before them being murdered.

“Elsa.. stay away, you’ll be in danger,” I felt how the misery grew inside of him. “I promised to get you, we will come after you soon,” I said and I made his hand touch his cheek. “Do you feel this?” I said lovingly.

”Uh.. I do,” he gulped. “That will be my hand soon,” I laughed but I still felt desperation growing inside of me. “Elsa, no,” Jack pleaded again. “See you soon,” I whispered and let my consciousness leave his.

When I woke up in Hiccup’s sofa I gasped for air. It felt so real, when I was with Jack. I can now move my limps and I see how Hiccup is snoring in his bed. Slowly I start to stand and I sneak outside. It is still night and I move as fast as I can. I am trying to be as quiet as possible, moving so no one would see me. I knew where I was headed.

I whistled inside the Forbidden Forest. Then I waited and soon I heard the flapping wings of the mightiest magical creature. The wings of a dragon. It was Hiccup’s dragon, Toothles.

“Uh, Hi buddy. I need a ride?” I whispered and patted Toothless who frowned. When I went to sit on it’s back it didn’t let me ride it. It just refused and laid down. “Please?” I begged but it just closed its eyes.

”Going somewhere?” I heard someone speaking to me and I looked behind of me. Hiccup was leaning against a tree and I saw that there was also Merida and Punzie. “He alerted us with magic call,” Punzie whispered. “Where are you going in the middle of the night?” Merida sighed and sounded annoyed with her late night wake up.

“To get Jack, I know where he is,” I said to them. They glanced at each other and for a moment I thought that they wouldn’t believe me. Just then Hiccup whistled and more of dragons flew there. “They will take us. Where is he?” Hiccup said and jumped in front of me on Toothless. “Burgess,” I whispered and wrapped my arms around him.

I see how Punzie and Merida took dragons to ride too. The travelling with dragons is fast and I could already see the lights of Burgess lighting up the early morning sky. I look around me as Hiccup makes his dragon fly in certain altitude.

“There! There he is!” I point down towards an opening in the trees. I remember that he was held in a place which was surrounded by forest and you could watch down to the city. It was on higher grounds, an old abandoned medieval cottage.

“Down buddy,” Hiccup pats Toothless side. Smoothly we landed down and I jump down. We landed in safe distance from the cottage. “So, what’s the plan?” Merida said when she and Punzie landed down.

”Expelliarmus!” Someone yelled from the darkness and my wand flew from my hand. We walked backwards and stood side against side. “We are surrounded,” Punzie whispered as shadows were circling around us.

“Be ready,” I told everyone as I lifted my hands. I would hit them with ice spike if they come too close. Suddenly I heard Merida screaming and we look up. She was lifted up by someone. Punzie run to her aid and shouted enchantment to the darkness. I see how the person fled and Merida dropped down.

“Stay back!” I yell to couple dark caped wizards who approach me. I push my hand forward and an ice wall appears and pushes them back. Quickly I roll down and reach to my wand. I shoot expelliarmus spell and their wands fly away. From the corner of my eye I see how Hiccup is fighting off with a wizard. He is using a sword in flames.

“Everyone! Retreat!” I yell as I see more of You-know-who’s minions gathering. Even the sky is being filled with floating dementors. I was concerned for the safety of my friends right now. I protected Merida and Punzie while they hopped on their dragons.

Then I run towards Hiccup but I stop. I cover my mouth when I see how Hiccup jumps in front of Toothless when one of the enemy sends explosion spell. It hits to Hiccup and then to Toothless. Hiccup falls down screaming, he lost his leg and Toothless had his tail damaged.

“NO!” I yell and run to them while setting of enchantments. I did a protection spell that wont hold long. “Hey, I am here,” I whisper and lift Hiccup’s head to my lap. Quickly I whispered a healing spell to his leg and the bleeding ended. Then I walk to Toothless.

“Let me help you,” I pet Toothless and I enchant a new part to his tail. It is from leather and it needs a rider to be controlled. “Hiccup,” I say to panting friend of mine. “You will need to ride Toothless back to Hogwarts,” I say as I did a artificial leg to him with magic. Then I created a saddle and levitated Hiccup on Toothless.

“Fly away,” I whisper and pat Toothless who rises. “No! Elsa!” Hiccup yells and the protective spell vanishes. Immediately a dismobilization spell hits me and I fall to ground. I see Toothless flying away and I smile, at least they got away.

Then a witch rolled me to lay on my back. I could recognize Gothel and Ursula. “Well well, what do we got here?”Ursula chuckled as she touched my cheek. It was impossible for me to move and I held my breath. “Take her to cell, You-know-who will tell what he wants with her later,” I heard someone yelling and soon after that my body floated in the air.

They brought me inside the cottage and threw inside of a room. I see a figure sitting in the shadows and he lifts his head when he sees me laying on the ground. “ELSA!” The figure jumps up and runs to me. I see that it is Jack, his eyes have dark circles around them and his waist is badly injured by the dragon flames.

“Can’t you move?” Jack whispers and pets my head. ”No.. they did a spell on me,” I let my thoughts go into Jack’s mind. “Oh, I understand,” Jack says and kisses my forehead. “You should have stayed away,” he whispers and tries to swallow his tears.

Finally I felt my hand and I lifted it. Jack startled when I touched his cheek. “I came for you,” I whispered and started to sit. “You’re really hurt,” I gulped and touched his waist. He flinched and gritted his teeth, “Don’t worry.” Jack whispered and embraced me.

Then the door opened and a wizard pointed at Jack with his wand. Jack pushed me behind of him. “I will die rather than let you hurt her!” Jack yelled and the wizard who I recognized as Drago grinned. He said something which was a spell that hit on Jack. Jack flew back and was tied down by rope that appeared.

“You-know-who has ordered us to have a little play time with you,” Drago laughed and pointed at me. I felt my body floating again and then, then I felt the worst kind of pain in my life. It shot through my spine, stinging and burning, it was the torturing curse. I screamed in pain. “NO STOP!” I heard Jack’s muffled voice

”Do you love him?” Drago asked me coldly. ”I do,” I glanced at Jack while sweat was dripping on my forehead. Then the pain strike again. “I repeat, do you love him?” Drago asked.

”Y-you can say it,” Jack whispered. I knew what they were up to, if I deny my love for Jack he would become a dementor, a soul eater that takes happiness away. “I LOVE HIM!” I yelled and Drago chuckled. ”I will do it until you say otherwise,” Drago grinned.

The pain was almost making me lose my mind. When he stopped I am half unconscious. “Say it Elsa, it is a-alright,” Jack whispered. His eyes were showing trace of shock. “I.. I..” I whispered and looked at Jack with tears in my eyes. “Yes?” Drago’s evil voice reached my consciousness.

”I don’t love him!” I cried. ”Good girl ,” Drago chuckled. I watch to my right and tears run on my cheeks. I see how Jack’s eyes widens after he grunted painfully. His eyes go blank, black looking. Slowly his hair is blackening and he is emotionless. “Jack?” I whisper but he doesn’t look at me.

“So now we can continue,” Drago laughed. ”Some more fun and then the murder curse, after you’re gone You-know-who can control Frost as dementor as he has done to many others,” Drago grinned and I gulped.

Again he tortured me, I could feel the pain even in the tip of my fingers. When I slowly opened my eyes while breathing heavily. I could see Jack standing next to Drago. Most of his hair was stained black and his look was still blank.

“L-let her go,” I heard Jack’s voice that startled Drago. “H-how,”  Drago gasped when he noticed Jack. I could see how Jack’s other eye flashed back to blue. He shot ice towards Drago who was stuck against wall. My pain stopped and Jack picked me up into his arms. “S-shoot the wall.. m-make it explode,” Jack whispered and I nodded. Quickly I used my ice to freeze the wall and then I melted it. The wall exploded.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and I could see how his pale skin had turned into grey. Jack flew off from the opening “How are you doing?” I whispered but he didn’t respond. He flew us to a mountain and  could sense how his flying was getting harder. Just before we were on the ground we fell down.

“JACK! “ I cried and run to embrace him. ”I am sorry, I love you,” I whispered and petted his cheek. “Too late,” Jack whispers and takes my hand in his. “I am changing.. there isn’t a way,” he smiled sadly.

”There is always a way,” I said and kissed him to lips. He was too tired to respond to my kiss. Jack sighed, “I can’t ask you for that.” I look at him,” Just tell me.” I whispered.

“There is the Vow of Eternal Love. It is sort of marriage ceremony for Spirits. But there is a catch,” Jack whispered and I could see the black area spreading from his hair to his body. “I don’t care,” I sobbed and buried my face against his chest. “If the vows are ever broken, I will turn into dementor right away,” Jack gulped.

“I will take the vow,” I whispered and he took my hand in his. “Well, help me up,” Jack sighed and I stood up with him. “Who is taking our vows?”  I ask from him as he takes support from me. ”The Moon,” Jack whispered.

“What is the vow?” I gulped. I can’t believe that I am doing this, with him. Jack inhaled deeply, “So it goes like this.”

“Under the Moon,

we are making the sacred vow.

The Vow of Eternal Love.

May our Souls and Mind become one.

May we experience life together.

Never will we abandon,

Never will we deny.

Love of the purest,

Love of the fairest.

This is what we have,

what we will have.

This is the love,

the one that shall last eternity between Spirits.”

Jack said the words with honor and looked at me. “Are you ready? We need to say it together?” Jack petted my cheek and smiled. ”But I am not a Spirit,” I whispered and gulped. “That is the reason for the catch.. you’re half witch and half nymph so you’re love might not be eternal like between spirits is. When that ends the Spirit suffers a destiny of living without soul,” Jack exhaled.

“Don’t worry about the future,” Jack said when he saw the shock in my eyes. He placed his arm around me. “So we are married after that?” Jack chuckled slightly, ”Nope. But we could marry later as witch and wizard do.. If you want to.”

“Fine.. let’s do it,” I whisper and take his hand. We said the vow together and his body is getting back to normal. I hug him immediately and he holds me tightly. Then I gasped when a blue light hit to my ring finger. “Don’t be scared,” Jack whispered and kissed my forehead. I stare at my finger where the blue light is twirling around. Jack is having the same phenomena going on.

“What is happening?” I gulped when I see a glowing ring appearing and I see how there is a stone in the shape of half moon. Jack shows his finger and I see him wearing the other side of the moon in his finger. The stone is pure white in color. “As you can see, pure love,” Jack whispered and showed me his finger.

I blushed, “S-so this is the symbol? Gosh.. we could be engaged in other people’s eyes.” I whispered and tried to take the ring out from my finger. “Eternal love,” Jack smirked and I pushed him. “And now you say it!” I snapped. ”Would it been any different case if I had told you about it before?” Jack raised his eyebrow and I sighed. “No, not it wouldn’t,” I whispered and he smiled.

”So.. do you Spirits kiss after the vow?” I glanced at him and he ruffled his hair while blushing. “Yeah we do,” Jack chuckled. I placed my arms around him, “What are you waiting for?” I give him a sly smirk and he leans forward. The kiss feels really nice after few days. “I love you,” I whisper to his ear after the kiss. “I know..” Jack responds and kissed my cheek.

Then he lifted me up on his arms and laughed. “Time to go back to Hogwarts?” Jack smirked and I nodded. He flew us back and we saw the sunrise while travelling. We went to Hiccup’s cabin immediately.

“I think that we need to face him,” Jack said with serious look in his eyes. “Who?” I whispered. ”You-know-who,” Jack said. ”How?” I gulped. ”I know his true name, when we say it.. he will definitely come but we need all people possible to fight him off,” Jack said while he pushed the door open to cabin.

 Then we heard loud screaming of excitement and Punzie run to hug us and was followed by Merida. I look over their shoulders, trying to see Hiccup. Punzie and Merida were happy about our escape.

“Where is he?” I whisper as I scan around the cabin with my eyes. “With Toothless, he is trying to fix the device you did,” Punzie glanced at Merida nervously. “You mean Hiccup? Has something happened?” Jack looked everyone in confusion.

”He was shot with explosion curse. He lost his leg and Toothless part of his tail,” I said sadly. I felt so bad for Hiccup who just wanted to help. Jack hummed, “Let me speak with him. “ We all nodded when Jack left to walk towards the Forbidden Forest. I glance at the moon ring and feel a bit of warmth reaching my heart. He swore his love to me and I did for him.
