POV Elsa

“We are late!” Ariel yells to me as we ran in the corridors. Her red hair is waving in the air when try to make it in time to Potions class. Our skinny and pale looking teacher miss Morgana would be furious if we are too late!

And we were too late. Everyone else was already inside and seated. Me and Ariel glanced at each other before we stepped inside the classroom. For my shock I saw some green colored scarfs around some student necks. We were having classes with Slytherin again this year. “And you bothered to show up,” Morgana walks in front of us.

“This is the first warning, two more and you’re suspended,” she slammed her hand against the wall, making us and other students startle. “S-sorry miss Morgana,” I say together with Ariel. Morgana chuckles, “Well, be seated. This year I decided to pair people up with other houses and opposite genders.” She glared at us, “Well go on! Get seated!”

I watch at Ariel and she seems nervous. Two places to sit anymore. One was a place that I would hate to sit so I look at black haired boy. He is a slytherin called Eric, I took a step forward but before I took another step I saw how Ariel sat next to Eric and introduced herself.

The only place left is behind of me. Slowly I turn around and I try to swallow the lump from my throat. I am watching at Jack Frost, the guy that always gives me trouble. “Sit already!” Morgana snaps at me but I stare at the sight. “C-can’t I sit alone? I can do potions perfectly by myself- ,” I tried to talk Morgana around. No use. “SIT!” She yelled and I look at the empty spot. I feel everyone staring at me.

I hear a slam, Jack is leaning to his hand and watching me. He had just slammed the table with his hand. “Take the seat already, you’re taking everyone’s time,” he cocked his eyebrow and slowly I sat next to him.  The air around him feels a bit cold.

“Finally!” Morgana exhales and starts the lesson. I took my books out and saw Jack’s book. It seemed like he had never opened him, it figures, his personality won’t bare him to do studies. “Don’t you dare mess up my work because you’re lazy,” I said to him by whisper for my surprise. He chuckled, “I promise.”

I made him chop the ingredients while I boiled the potion we were making. I added ingredients one by one but I kept my eye on him so he wouldn’t mess up the cutting work. POOF!

My whole face was covered in slimy substance. The potion exploded on me. Jack was laughing hard and I hit him, “Why did you do that!” He smirked to me, “It was you. You put one extra ingredient there. You should stop staring at handsome guys and concentrate on what you’re doing!”

“I didn’t look at you!” I snapped to him. “So you’re admitting that I am handsome?” He laughed again. My cheeks were burning, “I meant that I tried to make sure that you’re doing the potion properly!”

Everyone was staring at us. I had just yelled to him out loud. “Both of you. OUT!” Morgana yelled and Jack calmly stood up and walked to the corridor. I followed him. What a way to start new school year. I  cannot be suspended since I need to learn how to control.. control my powers.

I closed the door behind of me and I sighed loudly. Sound of footsteps caused me to open my eyes. Jack was walking away. “You! Where are you going?” I snapped at him when my hand got a hold from his wrist. I had to run after him to do so. “Let go,” he turned around and glared at me. “No, we need to stay here until the class ends,” I stare at him. “Maybe you do but I will go..Ravenclaw,” he smirked to me when he cocked his eyebrow. He shook his hand free and he left me standing there.

The class ended and Ariel came to me. “Umm.. where is your partner?” She looked around me. “He took off,” I hissed to her. That guy annoys me so much. “I heard that this year we will be doing all the classes with Slytherin. My eyes widened and I looked at my schedule. She was so right. “But I am happy that my partner will be Eric for the whole year!” She smiled happily. “W-what do you mean?”  She blinked her eyes, “Well,  we will have same partners for the whole year!” My heart just stopped beating. “No!” I yelled and I saw people turning around to watch me. “Yes?” Ariel smiled and I sighed from my frustration.

Next lesson was battle against dark arts. My pairing was a slytherin like everyone else’s on Ravenclaw. “I feel sorry for you,” Astrid whispered to me when she went to fight with her pair Jim Hawkins who was also slytherin. I knew why she was sorry, normally no one wanted to battle against Jack Frost since his moves were clever and he used powerful attacks. At least that I had heard some slytherin’s talking about in the corridors last year. This was our first year training with another house’s members and of course it had to be Slytherin. Some people even say that his dream is to work to he-who-must-not-be-named.

Jack walks in front of me, “Finally someone else to challenge besides our teacher Bunnymund.” He laughs to me and gets his weird looking wand from his pocket. I swallow a lump and I took out my transparent looking wand with unicorn hair inside as a core. “Ready?” He smirks to me and I nod. Immediately he does a disarm spell which I avoided. Instead it hit a girl behind of me and she got disarmed. “Nice reflexes,” he chuckled.

“Locomotor Mortis!” I yelled as I pointed at Jack. I wanted him to be unable to move by locking his feet together. For my shock he was quicker than I thought. “Protego,” he said calmly and a shield caused my spell bounce back. It startled me and I was afraid for a small moment, my body reacted by its own. A shield of ice formed in front of me. “W-what?” Jack exhaled as he stared at me. The spell that bounced back because of his spell of ‘Protego’ spread across the room from the ice shield. No one saw the ice shield since their legs got locked up and they fell to ground grunting. Even Jack got his feet stuck together, he was the only one standing. He was balancing his weight with the help of his arms which he spread wide. “Expelliarmus!” I point at Jack and his wand flies off from his hand.

I walk to him and I lock his hands from his wrists as I walk behind of him. “I won,” I whisper to his ear as I point my wand against his neck. His skin feels cold which is odd. “Rematch and I will prove you wrong,” he whispered back. “Tonight but put some clothes on this time, no girly night gowns,” he chuckled and my cheeks burn up. I elbow him between his ribs and he falls to ground and glances at me.

“Mind undoing the spell miss Arendelle?” Our teacher Bunnymund yelled. He was stuck too. “S-sorry,” I told to everyone when I undid the spell. The whole day was a pain with our classes together with Slytherin. Why we couldn’t be with Gryffindor or Hufflepuff?

After dinner I joined with Merida, Rapunzel and Anna to outside. Since we were in different houses having time together after classes was precious. “So how was everyone’s day?” I ask from them as we sat on the grass. “We had to pair up! Gryffindor and Hufflepuff! And pair up with boys, weird? Huh?” Merida rolled her eyes as she let herself fall to lay on her back. “Yes! I got Flynn from Gryffindor! How about you? I know that Merida was with Peter Pan from Hufflepuff and Anna got Kristoff.” Rapunzel was leaning her head on her hands when she laid on her stomach. “I got Jack Frost,” I sighed and they all gasped.  “That dude who is rude and a lonely wolf? The most likely one to fall to darkside?” Rapunzel stared at me and I nodded. “Oh, we are sorry,” Merida giggled and I glared at her.

“Hush!” Anna whispered and we saw how some guys walked past us. It was Flynn Rider and Peter Pan, they were laughing hard when they went to a tree. I saw Jack reading a book in the trees shadow. “What up Frost?” Peter laughed and kneeled next to Jack. Jack stood up and slammed his book shut while he turned his back at them. “You running Frost?” Flynn laughed and I saw how they took their wands out.

Peter placed his hand over Jack’s shoulder and chuckled, “Leaving already spawn of darkness?” Jack immediately turned around and seemed furious. “What did you say?” He hissed to Peter who backed up surprised. When they saw Jack taking out his wand Flynn used disarming spell and threw away Jack’s wand. “No tricks now up in your sleeve, huh?” Flynn laughed when he used levitating spell. Jack was hang upside down in the air.

They were bullying him. “Stop it!” Anna screamed and run to hit Peter with her fist to his chest. “Use your wand genius!” I yell to Anna as I took out my wand and disarmed Flynn and Peter. “I will be holding onto these, “ I smirked to them when they run. Their wands were left into my hands. Unfortunately mr. Jack Frost had fallen to ground after I disarmed Flynn. Hah, serves him right.

Jack stood up and wiped his clothes. He lifted his book up and I saw that it was the book for potion lessons. Then he lifted his wand up and stuffed it inside to his pockets. “So you’re not thanking us?” I snap at him and he waves his hand to tell us to shut up. He is walking away and I see him limping. His left hand is holding his knee, maybe the fall hurt him?

“Wait!” Rapunzel who we call as Punzie ran to Jack and took out her smooth surfaced wand that was made from chestnut tree.  “Episkius,” she whispers and her wand slightly touches Jack’s leg. She did a healing spell. “I could have done it by myself,” Jack says coldly and goes back inside. “What is his problem?” Merida glares angrily after him.

Then I realized that I hadn’t been watching the time after we had been catching up with each other after being apart for the whole summer. “What the time is?” I gasped and Merida looked at her clock, “7:15pm, are you in a rush?” My heart almost bounced from my chest, I was late again. “I need to go! Sorry!” I waved my hand to them when I ran to school and towards principles office. Mr.North must be angry since I am late from my private lesson.

Finally I see the usual shades of gold and red that decorated the hallway to his office room. Just when I was about to run inside from the door I bumped into someone. “You again,” a cold voice speaks to me. I am pushed against someone, I see a green and silver colored scarf and I look up. I stare at brown pair of eyes that are looking like he is burning inside. He is taller than me is what I realized when I was this close to him, our bodies touching. I bumped into Jack Frost. “I am s-sorry,” I said when I backed up. He just hummed and walked past me, “Remember our rematch. Come to that place where you blasted me somehow last time. Near the tree. 9pm and don’t be late.”

Before I was able to respond to Jack I heard North calling me and I went inside quickly. “Nice to see you showing up finally. Gladly this nice man here stayed little longer to keep me company after his lesso-,” North laughed nervously suddenly, “ Never mind.” This was the usual practice, mental one to help me control my power that sometimes erupted outside without control.

My emotions were the key. “Don’t be afraid Elsa, trust yourself and you will control that enormous power inside of you,” North told me when he locked me up in a small room. There it was dark and he released a troll. I heard the troll coming closer and my heart beat fastened. “No! Go away!” I screamed and a burst of ice and cold wind exploded from me. The room got destroyed and the troll frozen solid. I fell to my knees and I shivered.

“Maybe we should continue tomorrow, take some chocolate to feel better,” North touched my shoulder and smiled. “T-thank you,” I took a few pieces of chocolate before I left. I wonder what Jack was doing in is office before, maybe he went to tell about the bullying or he got into trouble because he didn’t wait behind the potion class door? Or maybe? No, it can’t be. Why would he get private classes?

“Oh god! Why am I late every time today!” I yelled when I saw the clock. It was 5 minutes to 9pm and I really needed to run again. He might be calling me a coward if I don’t show up. He was walking away already when I was almost there. “Sorry for being late!” I waved my hand and he just kept on walking.

He smirked to me and cocked his eyebrow as he walked past me, “Coward.” He whispered. Immediately I took a hold from his wrist. “You’re the one being a chicken! A brainless one!” I snapped to him and I saw how he turned around and his mouth opened slightly. The corner of his mouth was twitching, a smile sneaked to him and he bursted into laughter, “B-brainless chicken? Really now?” He was panting and smiled for the first time ever. “Y-yeah.. So fight with me Frost!” I stared at him.

His cold fingers wrapped around my hand, removing it from his other hand. “If you really want it, Elsa. Be ready,” he chuckled. I took out my wand but I was too slow. “Expelliarmus,” he said and smirked. My wand was now in his hand. “T-that wasn’t fair!” I felt my cheeks blushing.

“Come and get it,” he waved my wand in the air. When my hand got a hold of my wand he pulled me close to him, “You need to work on with your reflexes.” I look at him and I feel a bit scared, his dark brown eyes almost pierce my soul. I am holding my other hand on his chest, keeping some distance between us. “Thanks,” he smirks to me and I feel confused. “From what? Losing to you this time?” He rubbed his neck now, “From before.” He let go of my wand and left me standing there. He moved silently and fast like the wind in the yard. “He is weird,” I look after him when I walk back to castle and to Ravenclaws tower.

The portrait leading to our bed chambers opened when I told it the anwer to a question. It asked me 'What is rhino's horn made of?'. The answer was 'hair'. I changed to my night gown and went to sleep. I was still rubbing my hand where he was holding me before. If I wouldn’t know it better I could assume that he was nice to me. However next day he was a colder person than normally.
