I do like this story.
But I could like it more if I switched around a few things, see, my biggest problem with it is that Fern is hard to write and Oak is IMPOSSIBLE to write.

I could solve this easily by switching Carnation and Fern! They'd still be canon age and personality, just Carnation would be the false princess, and Fern would be a member of the guard. However, I'd obviously have to rewrite every,,,every chapter.
I'd also add more world building if I rewrote it, adventures to other elements staring much sooner! I've posted some notes on the other kingdoms on my Instagram and yearn to dive into them, but still of course this is just my warmup novel.

I really don't know what to do as I'm usually tired and would need an extra push to work on it, and I don't want to make ya reread all this stuff you already know. Plus, I could just finish it like this :p

I could do a rewrite, if I get motivated, chapters may be slow if I do, or heck, maybe fast (at least in the already written chapters)! But I am beginning to draft my novel Blood Relative, and hoping to start up Society X again soon.
By the way, I'm not exactly sure how 14 is faring, as scribs is pretty busy and there's still so much left, so we might not be able to finish it, but hey, you never know, I might edit some of the parts she drafted for her.

If there is interest, I would try to rewrite VOL, as I'd really like to give these characters a proper story, start to finish!
And until then (if then) this book will be on hiatus.
