I sighed as I headed out of the school’s principal office. As much as my family needed a job, I really didn’t want to be a janitor. But I needed a job, and the school needed a janitor.
I was to start today; the same day I had interviewed. I had changed into my dull grey janitor’s clothes in the boy’s bathroom, and now I was on my way to the janitor’s closet. Some kid had spewed all over a section of the hallway. I grabbed a mop and cleaning supplies, and, trying not to throw up myself, cleaned up the mess. What I would do for my family.
