Phelix
I sighed. Andrea used to be so nice. Now she was just annoying. I rested my head against the wall on the back of the wagon box. The horses were clipping along at a steady pace, and I barely had to direct them.
My eyelids drooped. I had barely been able to sleep that night, with Andrea bugging me whenever she could. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
I awoke to a jolting stop. The sky was black, and the woods were barely visible. I took a few seconds to find my bearings. I didn’t think I’d ever been here before. I figured I was past my tribe; it wouldn’t have taken me this late to get to the village. I turned the horses around and started for where I thought the village was. Every sound made me jump. I wished I was back at home, nice and warm.
It must’ve been only a few hours until sunset. I hated to wake anyone up to, so I made room among the stuff I had gotten from trading and slept uncomfortably on the wooden floor.
