PART FIVE

The first thing they did when they arrived in LA was drop off their things at their father's house, not even giving Will a chance to study his surroundings. They practically pulled him along like a dog.

The second thing they did was go to the hospital.

There was an hour left of visitation hours when they got there.

"Nico, what's your dad's name?" Will asked as they waited for Hazel to call Persephone, their stepmom, and ask her the room number for their dad.

"Fuck." Nico said as he realized thry had no backstory and Will knew nothing about him or his family. "Okay. Here's what you will say. We met two years ago. You bumped into me at my favourite record store and we hit it off. Two years later we graduate, decide to celebrate in Vegas and decided to get married because why not? We were in love. Okay?"

He didn't even wait for a response before going on, "Hades is my father. Persephone is my stepmom. I don't use my father's last name. Persephone is nice. Hades is not. I don't know why she married him. Oh and we don't have wedding rings because the wedding was sudden."

Will took a deep breath, "Okay. What about your mom?"

Nico was going to tell him to fuck off but Hazel came back, "Room 606. It's on the sixth floor."

Will didn't ask again when Nico didn't bother to bring up the subject again.

They took the elevator up to the sixth floor and set to find room 606. It turned out easier than Nico thought, it wasn't far from the elevators. When they were finally standing in front of the room, Hazel walked in first. Before Nico entered himself, he took a glance at Will and saw him trying to comb his unruly hair, like he really was about to meet his husband's father.

For the first time, Nico wondered why Will had agreed so readily to his crazy plan. He'd had every right to say no and every reason to but he had said yes instead. Nico wondered what had inpired him to do so. But he couldn't dwell on that so he focused on walking in the room and facing his father.

"You must be Nico's husband." Will was the first one Hades took note of. "Your name?"

Will smiled and held out his hand as he approached but then noticed Hades's hands and arms were hooked up to a machine and various wires and dropped his arm, his smile turning sheepish, "Uh William Solace. Nice to meet you." Then he bowed. He bowed. What the fuck.

Hades seemed amused, "Indeed. A shame we won't have much time to get to know one another."

Will nodded, "It is Mr..."

Hades shook his head, "Call me Dad."

"Oh my god. You can't just-" Nico couldn't believe his father had just said that. Everything was so out of whack.

"You're married. It would be an honojr for the love of my son's life to call me Dad." Hades was...not okay. Was he trying to make up for the years he'd neglected Nico?

Hazel giggled, "They make a good couple don't they dad?"

Instead of him answering, Persephone spoke up for the first time, "Oh they really do."

Nico's face heated up and he tried to look at Will for support but he had a smile on his face even though he was blushing too. He was happy about that comment. They barely knew each other!

Thankfully, Hazel and Persephone started talking and the conversation was veered away from Will and Nico as a couple and ventured into their former achool life and what they were planning on doing with their lives now that school was over.

When Will started talking about his plans, Nico was more interested than he thought he'd be. Will wanted to be a doctor and he was passionate about it. More than he'd seen anyone be about anything. Will was grinning throughout his whole explanation. Talking about which medical school he would be going to now that he was done with college. He talked about his classes for the past four years and how much he'd learned. Even Hades asked questions. Will was practically glowing he entire time.

Nico hadn't known how attractive someone could look when they talked about something they were passionate about.

Wait...attractive? Nope. Fuck no.

Thankfully, that was when Will stopped talking. And not long after that, they said goodbye. Persephone told them she wasn't sure if she would be home later and Hazel said it was fine and thanked her for staying with Hades.

After a quiet car ride, they finally arrived at Hazel's and Nico's former home.

Nico was about to shut himself in his former room before Hazel stopped him. "No. Will is staying with you so show him hospitality, you already dragged him all the way here for who knows how long."

"Why would he be staying with me?" Nico glared at Will like it was his fault but really, it was both their faults.

Will shrugged and smirked, "I don't know, maybe because we're married and that's what you told your parents?"

Fucking hell, he'd almost forgotten. Grudgingly, he told Will to follow him and showed him to their room. Nico couldn't believe he'd be sharing a room with that little shit. He couldn't believe the mess he'd gotten himself into.

Will, being Will, decided to climb onto Nico's loft bed and lay there. "That was so tiring. Who knew meeting your husband's parents would be like that?"

Nico frowned. "Fuck no, Solace. Get the fuck off of my bed."

"We're married, cutie." He grinned down at him from the side of the bed.

That brought back a sudden fkashback from their "wedding night".

"Will," Nico sighed into Will's silky hair as he peppered his neck with kisses.

"We're married, cutie." Will kissed down to his collarbone, "Did I tell you I've had a crush on you since freshman year?"

Nico giggled, momentarily forgetting the gorgeous blond's intimate kisses, "No. That's ridiculous."

Nico shook his head to dispell the memory, blushing furiously at what he had remembered. Now was not the time to be remembering that. He wanted to forget it completely. They'd been drunk. He turned so Will wouldn't notice the blush. "Not really. It's just a stupid contract, there's nothing between us."

Will let his head fall back on the pillow, "Yeah...yeah, I know. I was kidding. I can sleep on the couch."

"Fuck yeah, you can." He was referring to the black couch under his only window. "So get the fuck down, Solace."

Will climbed down and plopped himself on the couch, "You're not very nice. I don't know why I married you."

Nico rolled his eyes and climbed onto his bed, "Sorry to burst your bubble Sunshine."

Will grinned. Seriously, this guy never stopped grinning. "I like that."

"What?"

"You calling me Sunshine."

Nico glared, "It was a joke."

"It's almost like were actually married."

"I promise you, it will never be like that." There was no way, either of them would fall in love with the other. No matter what Will had said when they were drunk and about to have sex.

It would just never happen.

A/N

Totally apologize for the later update, I completely forgot today was Saturday. (College applications are hard...And I haven't even started...technically.)

But either way, I hope you enjoyed and thank you for continuing to read this shitty short fic.

Yours in demigodishness and all that, Izzy
