I couldn't believe it, grandpa got the EXACT place where this boy was going to land. I waited for the dust to disperse before I got a good look at him. He was maybe a millimeter shorter than me, blonde hair, a little scrawny but still adorable, and had the brightest blue eyes I had ever seen. He seemed to be staring at me too so I looked away in embarrassment.

"Well now you just decided to DROP in did ya *cough*." Grandpa said with a chuckle and a cough. He looked at his pocket watch.

"Oh. You are a bit late you know." The boy looked confused.

"Oh, I am?" His voice was so cute it took all my strength not to squeal like a 5 year old girl.

I started zoning out a little when a chair snuck up from behind me and tripped me, causing me to sit/fall down onto the chair. Grandpa sure got a kick out of that.

"Well now Y/N, decided to come back to us eh, haha."

I tried to laugh it off, usually this kind of stuff wasn't embarrassing to me because it was just me, grandpa, and Archimedes. But now that there's a boy the same age as me here, I feel like dying when this kind of stuff happened.

"So you name is Y/N?" The boy's voice caused me to blush more.

"Y-yes it is."

"T-that's a pretty name...Y/N." The boy became a little flustered as well.

"Thank you. So what's your name?"

"Oh my name's Arthur, but everyone calls me Wart." I raised an eyebrow.

"Why would people call you that?"

"Not sure, but people call me that more than my real name so I guess I've gotten used to it."

Grandpa decided to cut into our conversation.

"So, have you had any schooling boy?" The sugar had put in two spoon-fulls of sugar before going to grandpa. But the problem is, if you don't say when, he never stops scooping. So while grandpa was talking about school the sugar filled his cup with a ridiculous amount of sugar before grandpa low-key lost it.

"When! When dash it all! WHEN!"

The sugar then ran away and hid behind the teapot. Both me and Arthur giggled when grandpa used his beard as a mini broom to sweep off all the sugar.

"Now boy, you can't get anywhere in life without a good education. So the fates have tasked me to help you find your place in the world. Just think of all the wonderful things you cold learn about."

Arthur suddenly sprang.

"Oh no the castle! They'll want me in the kitchen!"

"Oh, well then we shall pack and be on our way."

I grabbed Arthur before he went out the door. He seemed flustered when I did so.

"W-what is it?"

"You might want to watch."

(I'm skipping the whole packing song because I'm writing this at 11:30pm, the video for the packing is at the top)

"What a way to pack."

Arthur was stunned at the way grandpa can pretty much fit everything in our house into one suitcase. But that's his way of magic, you go big or you go home.

"Now boy don't go thinking that magic can solve all your problems, because it won't."

"But I don't have any problems."

"Oh everyone has problems, with the world we live." He then got his long beard snagged in the door, I wasn't surprised anymore since this isn't the first time this has happened.

Arthur's pov

We kept walking behind Merlin while he was doing a little rant about education, I took this chance to talk to Y/Na little more.

"So are you his daughter?"

"Hm? Oh no, I'm his granddaughter. You see my parents weren't all too thrilled to have me so they threw me away the first chance they got but luckily for me, my grandfather was kind enough to take me in and basically raise me. I don't want anything to do with my parents though, why would I want to talk to people that never wanted me in the first place."

I looked at the ground while she was talking, how could a girl this sweet have parents that don't even want her. I mean, look at her... she's so...

"So what's your story?"

I couldn't finish my thought before she asked me a question.

"Well, I don't know who my parents are, but Sir Ector was kind enough to take me in, sure I have a lot of duties but I'm fine with it."

She listened intently while I spoke. I've never seen anyone pay attention to me with such an interest on what I had to say. She stopped and looked at her feet while clutching her baton.

"Y-you know, maybe I can teach you things too." I looked at her.

"Oh? What kind of things?" (don't get the wrong idea my perverts, they're both only 12 and I don't feel like going to jail so this shall remain innocent)

"My magic is based around music and elements so maybe I could teach you m-music. I-I mean if you want to."

"I'd love to learn about music." Saying that made her face turn red and she looked away. For some reason I felt proud that I was the one doing that to her. Merlin suddenly interrupted.

"Speaking of which boy, which way is this castle of yours?" I looked around.

"I think it's north, the other way."

Merlin was soon off again with me and Y/N trailing behind. Hopefully I don't get into too much trouble when I get home.

Jesus I finally got another part of this DONE after all the guilt of not updating I finally did it. :3
