8. Laito Sakamaki

Title: Tu es à moi. Vous appartenez à moi seul.

(Long)
(A bit mature)

Okay (Y/n), what was that quadratic formula again? You just learnt this last night...oh yeah X equals negative b, plus or negative square root b squared minus 4ac over...over what? Ah! 2a! Yes! Definitely pushing up that D+ to a C+ this semester! (Y/n) tackled the math problem, finishing it with ease in a minute.

The (h/c) female focused on her work, her mind blocking out the world outside.

Her eyes were glued to the book before her, until a small paper ball landed on her desk. (Y/n) furrowed her eyebrows in confusion and looked around the class to find the culprit. Everyone else had their head down, busying themselves with the work the teacher had left before leaving. The girl frowned and turned back to the paper. She pushed it off her desk, not caring to look if there was a message written in it.

(Y/n) sighed and continued on to the other problem. She could not risk losing focus of her work.

Not long after, another paper landed on her desk, this time hitting her hand in the process. A scowl plastered on her face, she turned again to look for the person. Still, no one paid attention to her.

She groaned as she turned back to her work. Her eyes fell on the paper and narrowed.

Maybe it's a message?... (Y/n) picked up the paper and unfolded it. In it, was a message, written in a relatively nice handwriting.

I want to talk.

(Y/n) scoffed at the words, knowing fully well who they were from and crumpled the paper. She stuffed it in her pocket and turned back to her work, her face twisted in agitation. Another paper ball skidded across her desk, falling to the ground. A scowl instantly plastered on her face as he fingers clenched angrily around her pencil, almost breaking it in half from anger.

And that's when she snapped.

She quickly whipped her head behind, raw anger reflecting on her expression.

"Will you fucking stop that!" she hissed at the green-eyed male who put on an innocent mask.

He lifted his head a bit to look at the seething female and feigned confusion. "What are you talking about?"

(Y/n)'s little outburst had captured the attention of the other students who were now watching as the scene unfolded.

The female's blood boiled at his innocent facade as she struggled to keep herself from jamming the pencil into his thick head.

"You know what you were doing! And I want you to stop right now or else-"

"Or else what? You're going to report me? As far as everyone here knows, you're the one disrupting the class, not me~" Laito interjected, a satisfied smirk creeping up his lips as he leaned back into his chair.

(Y/n)'s frown deepened as she realized he was right on the matter. Her eyes darted around the class at the other students who were murmuring, their drama-hungry eyes glued on the duo. The girl clicked her tongue, sending one last glare at the male, before turning to her work.

Laito smirked smugly to himself while taking in the girl's angry expression, chucking silently to himself as she jammed the pencil on an empty page, ripping it. Everyone else had returned to their work, making the girl sigh in relief as she couldn't bear any more attention.

But that didn't make her any less angry. She could still feel the vampire's eyes boring holes to her side, heating her up in a familiar way.

An image flashed in her mind making her eyes widen in shock. Her cheeks turned crimson red, her whole face heating up as her insides squirmed. She slapped her cheeks with both hands as she attempted to clear the image from her mind, a memory that never failed to make her feel flustered.

She knew that it was all his doing. He knew how to make her uncomfortable just by looking at her. And she could almost feel him smile at her reaction.

And she hated it.

Stop it (Y/n)! Things will only get worse if you think about it. (Y/n) scolded herself as she tried to ignore Laito's stare. She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath and opened them, her face filled with determination.

She wasn't going to lose to him.

After class***

(Y/n) sighed in relief as she packed her books into her bag. Her whole body felt lethargic, her daily schedule taking a toll on her. The girl couldn't wait to head home. She stood up, slinging the bag's strap over her shoulder. The girl avoided any eye contact with Laito as she hurriedly walked out of the class.

The minute she stepped foot out of the class, a hand grabbed her arm, jerking her backwards. (Y/n) yelped in surprise when her back connected with the hard wall. Her widened eyes looked up to glare at the culprit who had her pinned on the wall.

"What do you want Laito?" (Y/n) questioned, her tone harsh and cold.

Laito smiled as he placed both arms on each side of her head, trapping her against the wall. "I just wanna talk (Y/n). You've been avoiding me."

(Y/n)'s breath hitched at the action as her heart palpitated within her chest at his nearness. Despite these feelings, the female scowled, clicking her tongue and crossed her arms across her chest. "I think the words 'I never wanna see you again' clearly justifies my reason."

The few passing students looked at them in surprise from their compromising position but the two didn't notice as they were too busy engulfed in each other's presence.

"Do you think they're back together?"

"I don't think so. I heard that (Y/n) broke up with Laito because he was cheating on her with some blonde girl!"

"No way! I heard that Laito was the one who broke up with her because she's such a boring stick in the mud!"

"Ah who knows about those two."

(Y/n)'s attention was captured by the two girls not so silent gossip and turned her head to glare at their direction. The two girls gasped at the hostility and scampered off in the opposite direction.

The female sighed and turned to Laito, who was staring at her in amusement. A familiar bubbly feeling erupted at the depths of her stomach as she fought her blush at the proximity.

She placed her palms against his chest and tried to push him away. "Will you move?! People will start talking and first of all, we're broken up."

Laito titled his head at her, his lips forming a smirk. "Let them. I don't care."

Once again, Laito ignored her pleas for personal space making her annoyance spark within her. With a strong push, she pushed him away, making him stumble back as he was caught in surprise.

"Will you stop! I don't want to ever talk to you. How fucking hard is that to understand?!" she snapped at him, making him widen his green eyes at her harsh tone.

The hallway was now empty in exemption of the two, the silence amplifying the girl's voice.

All surprise was quickly wiped off from Laito's face, replaced with nonchalance as he stuffed his hands into his trouser pockets. "If you want me to understand then tell me why you wouldn't give me another chance."

(Y/n) scoffed at his words and rested her hands on her hips. "You wanna know why? Fine. It's because of you! It's the things you do! Everything! How do you expect me to stay with you when you can't keep your bloody hands to your bloody self!"

"That was only o-"

"Once? Once?! Every single time I was with you, you never looked at me. Your eyes and mind always be somewhere else. How do you think I felt?"

Tears had began pooling in her (h/c) eyes as she struggled to keep her composure.

"You-you always made me feel like an option, the second choice. You made me feel like utter shit every single time and yet, I still loved you. I really did and that's why I left. Because you were never going to save me in the end, all you ever do is destroy. And you destroyed my heart," she admitted, angrily wiping away her tears.

She hated herself for crying in front of him, but she couldn't help it. They had broken up for a month now but the wound still remained fresh in (Y/n)'s heart and seeing Laito everyday was like adding salt to it.

And the reason for it was because she still loved him. Very very much.

Laito stared back at the girl, sadness clouding his eyes before they were gone. He clenched his jaw as he thought of a response.

"I'm sorry."

(Y/n) furrowed her eyebrows in disbelief  "Excuse me?"

"I said I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it."

Laito took out his hands from his pockets, raising them up in question. "Well then what do you want me say? You won't listen to anything I tell you! Don't you get it, I want you back!"

The girl chuckled sarcastically. "Ha ha you want me back? Ha wow! Goodness. So what now? You finally got tired of chasing other girls around and you're now crawling back to the only girl who could tolerate your bullshit? You don't contact me for three weeks then show up of of nowhere claiming you want to fix things? Ha ha don't make me laugh."

She laughed under her breath before looking at the ceiling while shaking her head at his ridiculous antics. That was before her hand was grabbed, pulling her towards a hard body.

She yelped out in surprise as she looked up to look at Laito who had a serious look plastered on his face. One hand had wound around her waist as the other held her at the back of her neck, keeping her head in place. He had her pressed so tightly against him that (Y/n) was so sure he could practically feel her racing heart.

Words got stuck inside her throat as she stared back at him with wide eyes, her mind all jumbled.

"You wanna know why I want you back? You're mine, always have been, always will be. I admit it, I have been...confused the last couple of weeks but now, I know what I want. And I want you (Y/n). I want you back," he said, his voice octaves lower than normal as his warmth breath fanned the girl's face.

(Y/n)'s face twisted in anger as she struggled against him.

"Never! You don't love me! You never did!" she spat out, trying to wiggle out from the iron grip that proved impossible from his hold on her head and waist.

Laito smirked lightly at her and sighed. "True. It wasn't always a matter of whether or not I loved you. All that mattered was that you loved me. If I could clearly recall, you gave yourself to me, willingly. And I grew quite fond of you. I lost you once. Losing you again would be a shame~"

"Oh fuck you!" she snapped, trying to maintain a harsh, stable tone. She couldn't admit it out loud but her heart twinged in pain at his words.

Sure, she knew that he didn't love her and was in it only for her body. Yet, her love for him and hope that he'd one day look her way blinded her into entering into a relationship with him. At first, she was really motivated to making him lover her back, doing everything he wanted but overtime, it just wore her out both emotionally and physically. So, she called it quits. Laito didn't even bat an eyelid at her breakup speech, something that hurt her even more. They went their separate ways, Laito moving on so fast, surprising (Y/n).

Since she had invested a lot of time in her failed relationship, she had fallen back in her grades. So she took the initiative at improving them, along with trying to push out the male out of her mind. Everything was going well until one day he approached her, claiming that he wanted her back and that he had changed.

Having learnt her lesson, she rejected him but that made him more determined, looking for any reason to talk to her.

And it only infuriated the girl.

His sudden return in her life made it impossible for her to move on.

And here she was, in his arms as he smirked at her lewdly.

"I can always arrange for that~" he purred, leaning his head into her ear, making her shudder as his warm breath hit the shell of her ear.

"Get-get away from me!" she hissed, trying to pull her head away from him but failed.

"Struggling will only make me want to pin you against that wall and take you to right now. You always liked it when I did that to you, didn't you~" he breathed, his nose running along her neck.

(Y/n)'s breath hitched as a red blush colored her cheeks. Her rapid heartbeat made her flustered state even worse as tingles of excitement and anticipation flowed through her body. The feeling of his skin against hers, light as it was, made her knees weak. Laito smirked at her reaction towards him and pulled his head away from her neck.

She scowled both at Laito and at her body's betrayal.

"So what's it gonna be? My patience has been running thin for the last couple of days (Y/n). I need an answer," he said, his eyes drifting to her lips before going back to her eyes.

Though she still loved him, she couldn't let her heart be stomped on once again. She wasn't that stupid.

"How about...I'd rather cheese grate my fucking nipples."

Laito's eyes widened at her words, his hold on her loosening up a bit. (Y/n) took this chance to push him away, making him take two steps back. The girl cursed under her breath as she stopped off away from the male.

Laito stared at her retreating form, a smirk replacing his surprised stare. He wasn't expecting the girl's quick submission to him like before and her defiance made it even more exciting. But he knew that she wouldn't escape him.

It was only a matter of time before she ran back to him with open arms.

Le next day***

"So all you have to do is just take this to the front desk and all will be well,"

(Y/n) gave the blond-haired boy standing across from her some papers. The boy flipped through them, a smile lighting up his face.

He stuffed them into his bag before slinging it on his back. "Thanks (Y/n)!"

"Sure Nanashima. Anytime."

Nanashima scratched the back of his neck before ruffling up his hair nervously. "So...there's this place that just opened up recently and I was wondering maybe...you'd like to go?"

(Y/n) arched a bemused eyebrow at the request, a smile gracing her lips. "Like what, a date?"

Nanashima's cheeks turned a bit red as he nodded.

(Y/n) chuckled, finding his shyness adorable. She went to answer only to be cut off by another voice.

"Say yes and I'll kill him."

(Y/n)'s eyes widened as she turned around to find Laito leaning casually against the opposite wall, his hands stuffed in his pocket. Her agitation piqued at his rude manner and she quickly turned to apologize to Nanashima.

"I'm so-"

"I thought you two broke up?" he asked, puzzlement masking his face.

As she went to answer, again, she was interrupted when Laito stepped in front of her, blocking Nanashima's view from you.

Laito leaned into th male's face menacingly, a smirk on his lips. "She's still mine. Next time I see you talking to her, I'll make sure you never walk again"

The cold, monotone sound of his voice made the threat seem all too promising. The blond-haired male's eyes clouded in fear, nodding frantically before running off to the other direction.

Laito smirked triumphantly as he turned around to face the girl only to find her gone. He sighed at this, his nose already catching onto her scent as he began following it into the library.

(Y/n) leaned on one of the shelves as she glared at a spot on the wall. Her blood was boiling at the manner of how Laito had treated her friend. In fact, she would storm right out there and accept that date, just to spite him. With these thoughts, she turned around, only to be faced with Laito staring coolly back at her.

"Are you done running?" he asked, his voice cutting through the silent empty library like a sharp knife.

(Y/n) scowled at him, crossing her arms over her chest. "What's your deal?"

"You know what I want," he answered as he walked towards the girl.

The girl stood her ground, not allowing herself to be affected by him once more.

"I told you. Not. Gonna. Happen." she spat out, pointing a finger at the male who now stood beside her.

"We'll see about that," he shrugged, confident in his beliefs about her.

(Y/n) sensed the smug overconfidence rolling off the male and her blood boiled. She was tired of the male always winning. Every time she tried something, she always lost to him. But not this time.

"You don't get to do that."

Laito furrowed his eyebrows in puzzlement. "Do what?"

"Waltz back in my life as if nothing happened. Ask me to take you back when you hurt me numerous times. Take advantage of my feelings for you to get what you want. No, you don't get to do that. Not this time, okay?"

Laito's heart faltered in his heart, shocking him at the foreign feeling. It seemed to him that the girl's words had somehow managed to squeeze out a feeling.

Guilt.

He tried to brush it off but as his green eyes looked back at her (e/c) ones, it seemed to increase. For the first time, he had no words as the girl fully showed him her pained face, one that she hid every time he was around her. Her teary eyes and sad voice fully reflected the damage he had caused on her.

And he regretted it.

"I'm tired of your lies, hurtful words, doings. It's like I'm a toy to you. I don't want to be that toy anymore because I'm sick and tried of everything. I'm through."

And with this, she turned and walked towards the door. She had expected him to forcefully stop her from leaving but he didn't, something she was both grateful and disappointed at.

As her hands went to grab the handle, Laito called out to her.

"(Y/n), please don't leave me."

With these simple four words, (Y/n) gasped inaudibly, her hands hovering over the handle. She had never heard those words come out from him and it shocked her to the bone.

They sounded so...sad. So lonely.

Her mind was screaming for her to storm off but her heart yearned for her to go back to him and just fall into his arms. It was a tug of war, a battle that (Y/n) couldn't decide who won.

But then, it wouldn't hurt if she took a chance in him again. It was naïve of her to think that he really meant it be saying that he changed but she didn't care.

She wanted more that anything to be with him. She still loved him and even though she put up a fight to avoid him, she couldn't help but feel lonelier when he wasn't beside her.

Laito was a mistake.

She was young, she still had a lot of mistakes to make.

(Y/n) briefly closed her eyes and let out a sigh. Her hand dropped from the over the handle and opened her eyes. She turned around to face Laito who stared back at her, his face showing numerous emotions for the first time.

(Y/n) let out a smile before breaking into a sprint towards him. When she was closer to him, she jumped in him, her legs quickly wrapping around his waist as her lips crashed onto his. Laito let out a grunt of surprise, taking two steps back to stabilize himself from the force.

He quickly recovered from the surprise and returned the kiss, his lips molding against the girl's own. His arms slid under her thighs, supporting her up.

He licked her bottom lip making the girl open her mouth as Laito slid his tongue in, massaging her tongue in a dance.

(Y/n)'s hands went up his head, accidentally knocking off his fedora as her hands ran through his hair. She tugged at the roots painfully, earning a low moan from the male.

Laito walked over to a nearby table, placing her gently on it, his lips never leaving hers. His hands slowly slid up her thighs to under her risen up skirt. His hands grabbed either side of her hips, pulling her closer as he lifted her legs a bit to tightly wrap around him.

(Y/n)'s hands slid from his hair to his chest, her hands beginning to slide off his school jacket from his shoulders. Laito's hands released his hands as he shrugged off the jacket. He pulled away from her lips, burying his face in her neck as he trailed kisses down her neck. His hands were back under her skirt, his thumbs caressing the soft skin near her lady area in circles. The small teasing action made the girl more excited as her hands fisted in his shirt.

"Ahem."

The duo froze upon hearing the sound of a voice being cleared and turned to look at the door where Reiji stood. He looked at them in disinterest, his eyes focusing more on Laito.

"Time to go. I'm afraid your...private activities must be postponed," he deadpanned, his eyes taking in the couple's ragged appearances.

"Fine. I'll be there," Laito said, annoyance coating his voice.

Reiji turned to walk out, leaving the two alone.

(Y/n) pouted at the male who had pulled away to pick up his fedora and jacket. He ran his hand through his hair before putting on his hat. He turned to face the girl and wrapped his arms around her, a smirk on his lips.

"I hate that I have to leave. But I'll make sure next time we aren't interrupted~" he purred before crashing his lips on her own in a wanting lustful kiss.

(Y/n) smiled into the kiss, her heart fluttering in anticipation for the 'next time'.

Laito pulled away and placed a chaste kiss on her head before disappearing into thin air.

(Y/n) brushed her fingers against her lips, the ghost feeling of Laito's bruising kiss still on it. Her heart bubbled with joy as she replayed the earlier heated moments.

She squeaked in happiness as she laid down on the table, her eyes staring at the ceiling.

Best mistake ever!
