(This story takes place in the summer after 4th year.Fred is two years older than you in his 6th year.)

You were staying at your boyfriend Fred's house for the summer,and so far it was really fun.You shared a room with Ginny and Hermione,and you guys even played Qudditch sometimes.But today was different,you and the rest of the gang (Twins,Ginny,Hermione,Ron,and Harry)were going to a lake in the middle of the woods nearby.But the was a problem,see you have a secret,(insert Miraculous Ladybug theme song here.No?Just me?Ok😭.)you can't swim....No one knew,but ever since you were little you were afraid of the water.

(You still took showers and all that,you just can't swim)

At the current moment you were banging your head against the wall,wondering what your going to do.You heard the door creaking open,Ron looked at you like you were crazy.Which you probably were.

"Um,what are you doing?"Ron asked.

"Trying to open a portal to Narnia."You grumbled."What else?"

Ron seemed to back off.He turned his head down the hall and shouted:"Hey,stay clear from Y/n!She is in a bad mood!"

"Thank you for that Captain obvious."You groaned.

"You welcome Sir sarcasm."Ron grinned at his stupid,cheesy comeback.

"Fred!!Your brothers assuming my gender!"You yelled at the wall.

"Which one?!"Came back.

"The annoying one!"

"Thats like saying the one with red hair!"You heard Ginny say.

A chorus of 'Oi!' and 'Hey!' came from throughout the Burrow.You giggled at yourself,after all,it was very much true.

---time skip-----

"Fred!Put me down!"You screamed.

When you suggested staying home from the trip,everyone had shared a brief eye contact and Fred threw you over his shoulder.Everyone was in their swim suits and headed into the woods,you still riding via shoulder.Your h/l h/c hair was hanging in front on your face like a curtain. 

"And why would I do that Y/n?"Fred asked.

"Because I'm your girlfriend.Common Y/n logic really."You retorted.

"Fine you win,but if you run I'm going to........do something...?"You face palmed,great threat ya got there Freddie.

You just rolled your eyes and kept walking.You arrived at the pond to see a cliff at the end. Greeeeaaattttt. Just wonderful.Everyone climbed up the cliff,you followed silently and nervously.Everyone just sat down on the cliff and began to talk,you zoned out a couple of times.You came to your senses when George said:

"Hey,how did you guys first meet each other?"he asked.

"It was during Y/n,Harry,Ron,and my second year."Hermione replied.

"Oh yeah!"You exclaimed."Malfoy was making fun of my accent (your american in this story) and Crabbe and Goyle were beating me up!Then Harry saw and Hermione fired a stunning spell,Ron just stood around doing nothing.By the way thanks for that Ron. Blah blah blah blah.You can all come out of your flashbacks now."

"Wait you have an accent?"Fred asked.

"Fred.I'm american."You rolled your eyes.

"That explains a lot actually!"Ginny exclaimed.You gave her a look like 'whats that supposed to mean?'.

"Y'know we should get to swimming."George remarked,getting up.

"It is what we came here to do!"Harry agreed.

"Hermione and Y/n just came here to read their books!"Ron whined."And its summer break!"

"Hey!"You and Hermione protested.

"Lets just swim!"Harry yelled. 

Ron took a running start and lept into the water.The boys and Ginny did the same,but Hermione walked down to the shore.I just stayed at the cliff,looking down.Everyone was splashing in the water and having fun.You grinned.Then you heard an ear-splitting scream from the shore. Hermione's face was pale and she was staring at a dementor!Everyone in the water swam to shore to help her.

Two more dementors popped out of the dark woods,one began to attack Ginny. Hermione pulled out her wand and you did to.She yelled an 'Expecto patronum!' and her otter patronus attacked.One of the dementors flew up to where you were as Harry killed the other dementor. You would have done the same with your patronus,but you never could make one.You let out a silent squeak as the dementor flew closer to you,forcing you to the cliff's edge.Everyone was to focused on helping Ginny they didn't see you.Ginny came to and looked up at you.

"Y/n!"She screamed."Be careful."

You were at the cliff edge,and you,the great Y/n L/n were scared.Everyone was to far away to do anything to the dementor. You were on your own.And the only way to save yourself,was the the water.

"Fall into the water!"Fred yelled."The dementor can't follow you!"

"I CAN'T"You screamed.

"Yes you can!"Harry and Ron barked. Hermione's eyes widened.

"She means she can't swim!"Hermione explained.

Fred muttered a sting of not-so-nice words that I could even here from here.

"Just think of a happy thought Y/n,use the spell!"George yelled at me.

I closed my eyes and raised my wand.Almost falling over at the same time.I looked through three my happiest,nicest,purest memories.

-Me getting my Hogwarts letter.

-Meeting the Golden Trio

-Fred asking me to go to the Yule ball with him.

Without noticing,an 'Expecto patronum!' flew out of my mouth.The last memory had formed a beautiful blue Y/p.The y/p killed the dementor with one swipe,it was a very strong and powerful patronus. I grinned,but then something bad happened.I slipped off the edge of the cliff.My patronus dispersed and I was left with my friends running into the water.I hit the water with a 'splash'. The last thing I heard was:

"C'mon Y/n!Stay awake!Fred needs you!"

You passed out.

Light was the first thing you saw.A bright,white light.That and a figure slumped over in the space next to you in a chair,holding your hand.You forced yourself upwards,propping yourself onto your elbows.You opened your mouth to speak,at first it came out a dry squeak.But you tried again,

"F-Fredd-ie"You whispered.

The figure jumped up slightly,waking up.He turned towards you with eyes wide,you smiled.Fred jumped forward and hugged you.

"You had us all so worried!Don't ever do anything like that again!"Fred cried.

"Fred,calm down!"You giggled.

"You've been unconscious for a week and  half and expect me to CALM DOWN!?"Fred yelled.

"Fred!Its the middle of the night!Shut your gob!You'll wake everyone up!"You whispered-yelled.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?"He asked.

"I didn't need more things to have people discrete me for."You started to cry."For petes sake Fred!I'm American in Britain,I can't swim,and I've been bullied since first year!I can't get on a broom without breaking something!And i'm such a klutz!Everyone-"You were cut off by Fred's lips on yours.You kissed back and a few seconds later Fred pulled away.He grabbed your chin,forcing you to look at his eyes.

"Y/n,don't ever say anything like that again. Ok?"Fred asked/demanded.

"I promise."You whispered.

"Good."Fred kissed you again.

You kissed back,staying like that for almost 2 minutes. Until the need of air came,and you pulled away.You looked at Fred's eyes.

"I love you Y/n L/n"He whispered in your ear.

"I love you to Fred Weasley."
