The Lay of Silmirnil: Act 4
•
Act IV: Mortalkind Rebels
The dragons saw a conflict rise
As Men no longer would comply
Though war Alduin did not fear
A gruesome fate was drawing nigh
Vexed with many grievous hurts
Mankind turned on their dragon lords
And though they were greater in strength
Mortals could gather greater hoards
At first, they posed no real threat
For dragons ruled the skies of Nirn
Their voices could the skies turn dark
And mortal cities quickly burn
Though mortal they in body were
The priests would not be roused to aid
Traitors to those, their fellow men
As all to waste the dragons laid
The rebels swore then bitter oaths
And cursed the names of those they knew
Who served the dragons yet in spite
Of sufferings they all went through
The Thu'um perhaps, was key to all
To command storms and earth in word
And this the Dovs did jealous guard
Til' Kyne herself the weeping heard
