"Come on, just try it...." Iruma begged me, moving closer to my face. In her hand was a red solo cup of "non alcoholic wine" (not really sure how credible that was), which she was trying to coerce me to drink.

"I don't think so, Miu-chan," I pleaded nervously, noticing my classmate's stares focusing in on me. I felt my face grow hot in embarrassment, but the inventor continued to insist I should try it.

"You're going to regret it! If you want to end up with that pretty boy Amami-Kun, you're going to need some liquid courage!"

Suddenly, I felt a jolt shoot up my spine. "Huh? Stop! What do you mean?"

A wide grin spread across the blonde's face. "Kyakyakya! I've seen the way that you look at him! Anybody would be lucky to be stepped on by him!" She then shoved the cup closer into my face. "So try it!"

"Stop that..." I protested, trying to pry myself away from her.

"You've got the face and body to win him over, you know~" she purred, almost as if she was coming on to me. "Amami-kun strikes me as more of an ass kinda guy."

"You're creeping me out, please stop," I begged in response, suddenly twisting my arm in a way that eventually freed me from her iron grip. When I was free, I noticed that half of my classmates were staring at the two of us in a mixture of shock and disgust.

"You like Amami-kun?" Maki asked quietly, just loud enough for me to hear over the loud pop music. Before I could respond, I stormed out of the living room, making my way down the hallway. I came across a staircase, and I collapsed down on top of that.

"He won't touch me with a ten foot pole now," I sighed sadly, resting my head on my hands. I noticed the door to what appeared to be Amani's sibling's room was locked shut, unsavory noises coming from it. This only made me more uncomfortable, my stomach beginning to churn.

"(Y/n)? What are you doing over here?" I looked up from the stairs and saw Amami staring at me, a look of shock and pity in his green eyes. I shook my head, wiping at my own.

"Sorry... I didn't mean to poke around your house," I murmured as an apology.

"No, don't apologize," he waved it off, sitting down on a step a few below me. "Why are you all alone over here? You seem upset."

"I don't want to talk about it," I insisted, my voice wavering. "Please...."

"I won't pressure you," he exclaimed, forcing an awkward giggle after his words. "I suppose the party scene can be kind of overwhelming for you. To be honest, I feel the same way."

"What? You're the one who's hosting it!" I laughed, him also chuckling in response.

"It's all fun and games until someone brings the alcohol," he sighed softly, fidgeting with his necklace.

"...did you have any?" I questioned him hesitantly.

"Only a few sips," he stared calmly. "Just enough to not be considered a prude or a buzzkill."

"Well... I guess I'm both of those."

"Hey..." he frowned, suddenly reaching out to take my hand. I blushed softly, gazing into his glistening green eyes. "Don't get down on yourself. I'd rather hang out with someone sober any day, plus it takes real strength to resist peer pressure like that."

"I suppose so," I laughed gently. He suddenly rose to his feet, and I did as well.

"Are you ready to go back?"

Flashbacks of the incident that unfolded mere minutes before replayed in my head. "On second thought... no."

A tiny smirk formed on his lips. "I don't blame you. How about I show you something cool?"

I nodded innocently as the boy guided me up the stairs, to a hallway with five white doors. He opened the one parallel to the staircase for me, which I entered. With the flip of the light switch, I was able to determine that it was his bedroom. The walls were bright blue, and it was decorated quite trendily and expensively.

"You like?" He chuckled playfully.

"Nice room," I complimented. He lightly patted my shoulder before stepping towards the large window within. He opened it, suddenly climbing out it.

"Don't worry, it's safe," he insisted. "Come on it with me, will ya?"

Hesitantly, I inched towards the window and made my way through it. We were on the roof of his house, which was made of thin white tile. He took my hand as I made it through, guiding me to the center of the roof. He then sat down, and I followed suit.

"What do you think?"

"It's... peaceful up here," I stuttered softly in response. "Do you come out here a lot?"

"Every night I'm here!" He laughed. "Though I've never taken someone else out here with me before."

"Really? Am I your first?"

He nodded calmly, suddenly extending a single finger up to the sky. I craned my head upward, letting out a small gasp at the scene before me. Thousands of white stars glistened in the navy blue sky, all of varying shapes and sizes.

"Beautiful, huh," he sighed.

"Mhm."

An awkward silence fell between us, the nighttime chill setting in. Despite the cold weather, I was deadset on staying out there with him as long as humanly possible. Our hold on each other's hands remained strong, and I felt my cheeks tingle as he began to graze his thumb on my hand tenderly.

"It's getting cold..." I muttered after a while. "But I don't want to go inside."

"It really is," he agreed sadly. He turned to face me, his long eyelashes fluttering as he blinked.

"Hey, (y/n), before we go in-"

"I'm sorry about what the others said!" I cried nervously.

"No! What? I was going to do this," he shook it off as his face began to move closer to mine. My lips parted slightly as his chapped ones crashed into mine, initiating a tender yet firm kiss. I kissed back gently, keeping my eyes closed as I noticed him snake one of his arms around my back. When we finally pulled away, both of our faces were bright red in embarrassment.

"...I suppose I'm warm enough to stay out here for longer."
