In Heaven (Shuuichi Saihara x Reader)
I had two ideas for this one so I decided to combine them!! Requested by -ariakahana . Take this as my apology for the last angsty Saihara one shot ;)
---
I peeked through the fence of the Gifted Prisoner's Academy, watching intently as a familiar figure left the building. My heart raced as Shuuichi Saihara, the Ultimate Detective, walked by himself towards the school gates. I quickly hid behind a tree as he began to walk down the sidewalk, school bag slung over his shoulder.
Sure, I didn't have a talent myself. If I did, it'd be the Ultimate Shuuichi fangirl. Kidding! But ever since I had seen the boy while walking home, I immediately grew to have feelings for him. Sadly, it's not like we'd ever be able to meet, or have a relationship. He didn't even know I existed....
"(Y/n)-chan!" A female voice shouted. I whipped my head around and saw Kaede standing behind me, a stern look on her face. Despite being completely talented, she was somehow friends with the likes of me. Through her, I was able to learn about Shuuichi in the first place. "What are you doing behind that tree?"
"Oh, n-nothing!" I stammered nervously. "Waiting for you, I suppose!"
The blonde shook her head. "You know, you're going to get in trouble if you keep watching him like that."
"I know..." I sighed softly, coming out from behind the tree.
"Cheer up! Rantarou is hosting a party tomorrow night at his house. He's only inviting people from our class, but I think I could take you as my plus one."
My heart skipped a beat as I imagined myself finally interacting with Saihara. How would he act around me? I nodded excitedly as I wrapped my arms around the pianist.
"Yes yes yes yes!" I exclaimed, finally pulling away from the shocked girl. "I love you, Kaede! You're the greatest!"
She gave me a sincere smile. "I love you too, (y/n)-chan."
---
I got dressed for the party, waiting around anxiously until I heard a car honk at my door. I sprinted outside to see Kaede's hot pink convertible sitting in my driveway. I hopped into the passenger seat as we flew down the neighborhood, the nighttime wind messing up my hair.
"You seem excited," she laughed slightly as she turned down the street.
"Well, yeah! Of course I am! Aren't you?" I exclaimed happily.
She nodded. "Well.. yes. I'm hoping Rantarou and I get to spend some time together," she admitted as she began to blush.
When we arrived at his house, which was ironically painted the same green as his hair, I began to feel nervous. Would Saihara even show up to a party like this? I disregarded my second thoughts as I followed Kaede inside.
While I expected a big party with hundreds of students, no more than about a dozen were in Rantarou's living room. Despite loud music and snacks being present, no one was really interacting with each other. Suddenly, I noticed a familiar face standing in the corner, masquerading himself behind his usual black baseball cap.
"Hey, Kaede!" Rantarou exclaimed, causing me to jump slightly. The green haired boy smiled, suddenly directing his attention towards me. "And who might you be?"
"Hi, Amami-Kun. That's my best friend (y/n). I hope you don't mind her coming with me..."
"The more the merrier!" He chorused, turning away from us. "This party is beyond dead! Let's play a party game!"
"What kind of party game?!" A purple haired boy asked. Based on Kaede's descriptions of her classmates, I had been able to guess his name was Kaito.
"Hmmm..." Rantarou hummed. Suddenly, he dove at a glass bottle that was emptily sitting on a nearby table. "I have just the idea!"
"What?" Saihara asked. I felt my cheeks grow hot as the shy boy drew in closer to us. Next thing I knew, we were all sitting cross legged in a circle on Rantarou's carpet.
"Let's play Seven Minutes In Heaven!" He laughed as he placed the bottle in the middle of us.
"Huh? What's that?" Kiibo asked.
"You'll see, robot boy!" Miu laughed, giving him a small wink. Rantarou spinned the bottle in the center, it landing on Saihara.
"Oh! Let's see who the lucky person is!" Miu yelled, as the flustered detective gave the bottle a spin. My heart pounded, and it seemed like one had frozen. I felt incredibly envious and jealous of whoever the bottle would land on, praying it wouldn't be anyone who would try to take advantage of Saihara's innocent and shy nature.
Fortunately, my prayers were answered. Time seemed to have halted. The bottle didn't land on just anybody... it landed on me.
"Woohoo! Looks like new girl gets a crack at the shota detective boy!"
Saihara's face tinged bright pink as Amami stood up from the circle. I was in a daze as I followed them both to a nearby closet.
"You have 7 minutes, ok?" Amami asked. I nodded, embarrassed yet incredibly excited. It was like a dream come true. Next thing I knew, I was in silent darkness, the sound of someone else's breathing being the only thing to cut through it.
"You're (y/n), right?" He asked after a short while.
"Ah, yeah!" I squeaked, amazed at how he remembered my name.
"You're really pretty, you know.." he murmured, his voice drawing nearer.
"Thank you," I whispered softly.
"Forgive me for what I'm about to do," he murmured, his voice now in a low whisper. Before I could respond, I was shocked by the sensation of his lips pressing against mine. I kissed back, his hands wrapped around my waist. I slung mine over his shoulders as we continued to passionately kiss.
Suddenly, we were startled by the closet filling up with light. Rantarou had opened it, a devious smirk on his face. "Back to the circle, you two," he laughed as we both stepped out of the closet.
Before we went back to the others, Saihara pulled me aside. "I don't really know you much, but you're one of Kaede's friends, so you're a friend of mine. Would you maybe... want to hang out soon?"
I nodded. "Of course!"
I thought I was dreaming. If so, I didn't want anyone to pinch me awake. I could keep on going on like this forever.
