Don't Trust Me (Player! Rantarou Amami x Fem! Tsundere! Reader)

Honestly I'm not even gonna lie I love Rantarou and I would write a whole book of one shots about him if I could :))))
----

I turned away from my locker, a soft groan escaping my lips at the sight in the corner of my eye. An underclassman was being heckled by none other than SHSL asshole Rantarou Amami, her face a bright tomato red. The boy was smirking deviously, playing with a strand of the girl's brunette hair.

"You're a real cutie pie..." I heard him purr as I walked past them, though the words made me freeze in my tracks. I turned to face them, my fist balling up slightly.

"Leave the poor child alone, Amami-kun," I hissed at him, pulling him away by the back of his shirt. I dragged him down the hallway, back to our classroom-- which I knew was a safe enough distance away from the girl.

"Ow ow ow ow!" He stammered, suddenly stumbling free of my grasp. The classroom was empty, which seemed to be to his delight. "You really wanted me all to yourself this badly, huh?"

"In your fucking dreams," I glowered. "I don't care if your talent is the SHSL player, you have to leave girls--- ESPECIALLY underclassmen-- alone."

"I'm trying~!" He exclaimed playfully, leaning up against one of the vacant desks. "These girls can't get enough of me, (y/n)-chan. I guess you could say that I'm irresistible!"

"Don't make me vomit," I retorted. "The only thing that can't resist you is the smell of that disgusting cologne. You mind, like, not wearing that?"

He smelled himself in various places before letting out a chuckle. "No can do! Chicks dig it!"

"Not this one!" I frowned.

"Hey," he sighed, his tone suddenly shifting to a more vulnerable state. "Don't get mad at me, babe. I can make it up to you..."

"I'm not your 'babe'..." I murmured, though my cheeks tingled slightly. I touched a few of my fingers to them, trying to hide my flustered state.

"See! I even have an effect on you!" He laughed. "Come on now, (y/n)-chan. Even you can't resist me, right?"

"I don't want some guy that everyone else does," I stared bluntly. "Someone like that would only end up hurting my feelings."

"Well... not if they devote themselves entirely to you," he replied, a sudden yet strange huskiness in his voice. "Not if they were me."

I choked on my words, completely frozen in place. Suddenly, I came up with a remark to respond with. "I'm not gonna fall for it, Amami. Go find a pillow to hump or something."

He suddenly drew closer to me, unfazed by my sly remark. "Why do I need to go to a pillow when I can go to you?"

"Only thing that you need is a mint," I exclaimed, tired of talking to him. I turned to walk out the door, though I was suddenly startled by him grabbing my wrist.

"Let go!" I protested, though my fight softened when I saw the hurt look on his face.

"Hey... don't be upset. I was only joking!" He stated with a small smile. "But... honestly, you're the only girl who's ever tried to resist me. Freshman, seniors, even teachers can't resist me."

"I'll take that as a compliment," I sighed, still trying to wiggle my way out of his grasp. "Can I, like, go now? I don't need to be sexually harassed by you anymore."

"Alright, alright! I'll stop!" He chuckled, though there was a dark glint in his eyes. "However... I need you to strike a deal with me."

"I don't even care, man..."

"You have to go out on a date with me. Just one. So I can see if I can change your mind."

My heart fluttered slightly at his words, though I tried to suppress my emotions. What would a date with him even be like? He wasn't usually one to ask girls out; he much preferred stringing them along with him just because he could.

"I literally, do not care," I retorted, finally freeing myself of his grip. Despite my cold demeanor, I felt my stomach begin to churn.

"I'll pick you up at seven tonight," he offered with his signature douchey wink.

"Yeah, I guess."

----

As I was still getting ready, I was suddenly startled by the sound of knocking at my door. I hustled to answer it, meeting the notorious avocado boy himself. However, he came in armed. A bouquet of roses was in his hand, extended out towards me.

"For you..." he bowed slightly as I gingerly took the bouquet from his hand. For someone who I had regarded as being a heartless jerk, he sure was pretending to be a gentleman pretty damn well that night.

"Thank you," I smiled, quickly placing the flowers on the nearby table so I could deal with them later. "I suppose we should get going, no? Where are you taking me?"

"You'll see," he winked as he held the door open for me. I hopped into the passenger seat of his convertible, the two of us driving down the quiet streets in silence.

"You know..." he murmured, his husky voice suddenly filling the silence. "You don't seem like the kinda girl who would be down for the cheesy ass dinner and a movie thing."

"Your speculation is correct," I jibed smugly. "Will you tell me where you're taking me, now?"

"All in due time, princess," he laughed. Though I knew it was definitely sarcastic, I felt slightly taken aback by his pet name for me.

Suddenly, the car screeched to the side, veering to a small building I was fortunately familiar with.

"The arcade!" I exclaimed with excitement one could only compare to that of a child on Christmas morning.

"I made a good choice, I guess!" The player laughed. "I knew something like this would be up your alley!"

I wrapped my arms around him suddenly, catching him off guard. "This is amazing... I can't wait!"

"A different type of date for a different type of girl," he remarked. "In a good way, of course. You want to head in?"

I nodded, suddenly gripping onto his hand. His face had an emotion I wasn't used to seeing from him-- he was blushing. I nodded my head enthusiastically."

"Let's go, you dirty player."
