You buried your face deeper into your school jacket as you walked up the grand stairs to Ouran Academy. It was getting colder as the days went on, and unfortunately you didn't live the normal Ouran Academy life where you were brought to school in a heated limousine.

You opened the doors and quickly made your way to your locker to get your books for first period, French. You heard the normal buzz of students around you and the satisfying smell of Christmas seeping throughout the classrooms. It was always your favorite time, Christmas, it made you feel warm inside and it was the only time where you felt as if you actually somewhat belonged there.

You quickly grabbed your books and headed to class with a bounce in your step, but of course you weren't expecting the things that would come once you got there.

The moment you slid the door open, a great big pot of honey was poured over your head and feathers were blown onto you from every direction. You stood there with your arms out and your mouth opened in shock. How could they possibly do something like this to someone? Had they no manners nor virtues?

You scoffed and wiped the stray honey off of your eyelids before looking around the room in anger. They were laughing and pointing at you like you were some freak. It was hard to begin with, being an honors student with a scholarship, but this was just ridiculous.

You turned around and quickly walked into the bathroom. You turned on the faucet and wiped as much honey and feathers off of you as you could. You couldn't help but feel embarrassed as you did so, just thinking about all the people who had seen you like that made you want to crawl in a hole and die.

After it was almost completely off, you looked up at yourself in the mirror and said,

"I hate this, they ruin everything for me." You sighed and quietly opened the bathroom door with extreme caution. The halls were silent so it gave you the perfect chance to try to slip back into class. You walked fast but remained quiet as you searched for the right classroom, but a voice stopped you from doing just that.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing out of class?!" You turned around and bit your lip in anxiety. You had completely forgotten that security guards had started rounds in the Academy. You said quickly,

"My name is (Y/N) (L/N) and I'm-" "Intruding in this facility, you're coming with me." You started to panic as he said that. Why didn't he just give you a chance to prove yourself?! You ripped your arm from his grip and held out your student I.D.

"(Y/N) (L/N), Class 1-A, Honors student. I go to school here sir, and i'd appreciate it if you actually let me explain myself next time." You turned on your heal and walked to your classroom. You were already 30 minutes late to class because of that stupid prank and the security guard, so you were expecting even more waiting for you when you went in.

You were right after all, because once you went in, your teacher gave you an ear full.

"Ms. (L/N)! You're a half an hour late to class and you look like rubbish! I will not tolerate that here, so go home for today and don't come back looking like that tomorrow!" She shooed you out of class without even letting you say one word in defense. You stood there with your eyes widened and your heart beating at a fast pace. Maybe it was out of anger, or maybe frustration, but either way you weren't going to stand for any more of it. You ruffled your hair and power walked out of the building. By then, the snow that had brought you joy that morning had been piled up and was melting because of the sun.

You shivered as you walked to the sidewalk to start walking home. You crossed your arms to try to keep warm and ignored the sound of the speeding car behind you. You glanced back at the car but failed to notice the muddy puddle beside you on the road that the car was sure to go through.

You turned your head forward to look ahead of you but you forgot that soon after you felt yourself drenched in cold, dirty water. You gasped and looked down at yourself to see mud everywhere. The car had stopped soon after the accident happened surprisingly and the person that stepped out of the back surprised you even more.

"(Y/N)?! I'm so sorry my car splashed you!" Tamaki Suoh, Ouran Academy's Prince, came running up to you with a guilty look on his face. You wiped your face on your sleeve, not that it helped much, and said,

"Of course this would happen to me.." You could feel the tears jerking at your eyes as you looked down at yourself once again. Tamaki's face grew guiltier and guiltier as he seen the state you were in.

"Come on, let's go (Y/N)." You whipped your head up to see Tamaki smiling with his hand held out to you.

"W-what? Why?" You asked as you stared at his outstretched hand. He shook his head as to say, "just follow me," and you couldn't held but humor him. It had been too stressful of a day, and even though he had been your secret childhood friend since forever, you still couldn't help but want to let him take care of you.

(A/N: so you're like haruhi in this with a scholarship and whatnot and of course Tamaki is a richy rich boy. The story behind you two is that when he would go to play at his favorite park as a child, you had been there too. So you two found friendship and ended up playing together. Even when you were in middle school, because of your grades you got to go to the same school as him and whatnot so you'd known him almost all your life)

You quietly followed Tamaki into his vehicle and sat beside him as he ordered his driver to take you guys to his estate.

It didn't take long before you arrived at your destination. You didn't go there too much, mainly because of your social status, but every time you did get the chance to go, it amazed you. Tamaki noticed your foggy look and said sheepishly,

"You have that look on your face every time you come here." You slightly blushed and pushed past him to get out of the car. Once you did, Tamaki followed and led you inside. He immediately called for two maids to come. He said,

"Ms. (L/N) requires a set of pajama's and bath necessities, please see to it for her." They nodded, bowed, and scurried away to do just that. You said curiously,

"Tamaki, it's only nine thirty in the morning..why am I putting pajama's on?" He smiled and brushed a hand through his golden locks before saying,

"Let's decorate my house today! You know like commoners do where they stay in the pajama's and decorate their houses? Let's do that!" You mentally face palmed at the way he cited "commoner" but soon you broke out into a wide grin. It warmed your heart to know that Tamaki was trying to make you feel at home and help you have a better day. Your heart clenched in a way it hadn't clenched before whilst you were thinking about Tamaki, and you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. You brushed the feelings off once the maids handed you the things they brought and you headed to the grand shower to take a much needed and deserved shower.

(Time skip omg this is longer than I anticipated I am so sorry reader-chan)

You took longer than you probably should've in the shower, well who could blame you when you were in such a luxurious place. You put on the cute pajama's that were pink and white polka dotted and looked at yourself in the mirror. You laughed out loud and spinned around.

"That Tamaki.." You smiled as you held the hem of your shirt in between your finger tips, Tamaki's face resurfacing in your mind. You blushed and looked into the mirror.

"Oh god, there is no way I..no..(Y/N).." You pointed to yourself and glared. You then sighed and rolled your eyes before putting on the comfy slippers that were put outside the bathroom door for you.

You walked down the stepped to the main living room where Tamaki was watching two butlers put up a huge Christmas tree. Before letting him know you were there, you noticed he was wearing matching pajama's to yours except they were blue and white polka dots. You blushed and frowned slightly as you felt your pulse quicken. You inhaled and exhaled before calling out,

"Tamaki!" He turned around and smiled handsomely,

"(Y/N)! Oh my gosh you look so cute in those! I made a good choice!" Before you could react, he had already wrapped his arms around your smaller frame and buried his nose into your hair. You stood there, simply frozen, as he held onto you in silence. He breathed in and whispered,

"You smell like me (Y/N)...that makes me happy.." You didn't say anything, but you felt like it was okay to wrap your arms around his back to hug him in return. Once you did, he said in a low voice,

"I don't want to see you cry every again like that. It broke my heart." He started stroking your hair after he said that, which made the emotions from earlier resurface, and you couldn't help but start crying once again. Tamaki sucked in his breath and pulled away slightly to look at you. His eyes softened once he seen the state you were in. He called back to the butlers who were putting up the tree,

"We'll do that later, for now we're going to my room, don't disturb us." Tamaki picked you up and brought you straight to his room. You didn't pay attention due to the mass amount of built up tears that were now flowing like a river out of your eyes. Tamaki closed his door and laid you down on his bed. He covered you up before quickly getting in on the other side and bringing you into his arms. He quietly whispered, "Shhh." To you as you clung to him and cried. You said in a barely audible voice,

"I'm s-sorry Tamaki." You hyperventilated slightly as you talked. Tamaki brought your head deeper into his chest as you said so. He softly planted a kiss to your forehead and said,

"It's okay (Y/N). I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when it started but I promise from now on I'm going to protect you like I should have from the beginning." You sniffled and looked up at him.

"W-why?" His lips tugged upwards in a smile and he brought his face closer to yours.

"Why? Because I have to." You frowned at his remark and said,

"No you don't.." He shook his head and replied,

"Yes, I do. Any man would say that when talking about the woman he loves." You hadn't processes what he said at first and you sighed and snuggled closer to the pillows. You sat there for two..three minutes until your eyes flew open again and you yelled,

"YOU WHAT?!?" Tamaki was startled himself when you did so and replied quickly,

"I'm sorry! I just said how I felt!!" He hid his now red face under the covers. You slowly took his words and comprehended them in your mind. You started to smile wider and wider as you asked,

"You love me?" He peeked an eyeball out and said,

"Y-yeah!" His voice cracked as he replied to you which caused you to laugh. You jumped onto him and kissed him all over his face.

"I love you too Tamaki!" You giggled as he laughed and hugged you while rolling around in the bed. Suddenly, everything stopped when your faces were centimeters away from each other and Tamaki's whole body was on top of you. His lavender eyes stared into your (E/C) ones, maybe in search for permission to proceed. You hesitantly grabbed onto his pajama top and pulled his lips onto yours. He must've been surprised at your action because when you opened your eyes to look at him, he was redder than a tomato. You broke away for air and laughed.

"What the heck Tamaki, you were so confident earlier! What happened to that?" He looked down and gave you a puppy dog look.

"You surprised me (Y/N)!" You crawled closer to him and kissed his temple.

"I love you Tamaki, thank you for everything." His blushing calmed down and he took your hand in his. He kissed the back of it and said,

"I would do anything for you (Y/N)."
