Last Time On...

Sigyn's backstory will be a little later in (I'm sure you can guess when) because I don't have her "Sacred Timeline" or other MCU appearances written. However, the brief info given in here is all you need to know for now! Depending on things, I may go write out the entirety of her MCU story later!

New York, New York, Date: 2012

The fight for New York City is over, and all Sigyn Larsen can think about was how hungry she is. Nearly getting torn to shreds by aliens and then nearly getting irradiated will do that. Stark had mentioned Shwarma before; maybe she would ask the rest of them if they wanted to go get some later.

The top floor of Stark's tower floods with SHIELD operatives, all helping to secure the area. Sigyn can't help but feel a little antsy at their presence like they would call off the truce now that Loki has been captured and she's served her purpose. She feels the comforting hand of Tony on her shoulder, telling her that it would be fine. Steve also shoots her a reassuring nod, something that Loki takes notice of.

Now feeling secure, Sigyn starts to move around the apartment, but not without sticking close to one of the other Avengers. Except for Clint. Because well, she just met him a few hours ago. Not that he doesn't seem like a nice person.

"We can take that off your hands," says Agent Sitwell, who reaches for the sceptre in Natasha's hands.

"By all means. Careful with that thing."

"Unless you want your mind erased," adds Clint. "And not in a fun way."

Sitwell eyes the object carefully and places it into the case that Rumlow has opened. "We promise to be careful."

With the case secure and things seeming to wrap up, Steve, ever the army man, walks past the rest of the Avengers while talking into his earpiece, "On my way down to coordinate search and rescue."

Still handcuffed, Loki transforms into the man who has just passed by him, "On my way down to coordinate search and rescue," he says in a mocking and monotonous voice. Sigyn and Tony roll their eyes so hard that they could see the back of their heads. Loki transforms back into himself, "I mean, honestly. How do you keep your food down?"

Not allowing the self-proclaimed "God of Mischief" to keep going, Thor slaps a device onto his brother's mouth while letting out a heavy sigh, "Shut up."

"We almost done here, Stark? I'm starving," asks Sigyn, looking over to Tony who is putting the Tesseract away.

He continually presses buttons on the case, securing the stone into place. "Ginny, I'm only dealing with a highly volatile, highly hazardous space rock, so by all means, rush me," he says without glancing up from his work.

Sigyn rolls her eyes in mock annoyance. The nickname brings back fond memories of when she worked in one of Stark Industries' bio labs and couldn't pronounce her name correctly, so he invited a new one. She insisted multiple times that the nickname made no sense because her name isn't pronounced 'Si-gn not See-gin", but the nickname stuck around nonetheless.

Thor raises his hand, "I am also famished." Sigyn gives him a small smile for backing her up.

The last few measures on the Tesseract are put into place and Stark locks up the case, making sure that it doesn't leave his hands. "Yea, well why don't we all go get lunch after this," says Stark. They all make their way towards the elevator, Loki and several SHIELD agents included, and squeeze into the space. Apparently not wanting to stand anymore, Stark sits down on top of the case.

The doors begin to close as Hulk walks up to the elevator, shaking the ground as he goes, "Move."

"Whoa, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa!" exclaims Thor.

"Whoa, whoa. Hey! Buddy," says Tony. "What do you think? Maximum occupancy has been reached."

"Take the stairs," says Thor.

"Yeah!" agrees Tony. Everyone in the elevator starts waving at the Hulk, trying to get him to back away from the door. Even Loki gives him a small wave. The Hulk draws back his fist just as the doors start to close, "Stop. Stop!" cries Tony. But it's too late, there's already a small dent on the inside of the elevator, so there's no telling what it looks like on the outside.

There's a moment of silence before Sigyn speaks up, "You've got insurance, right?" Stark nods. "Great, so you can pay for lunch."

"Listen, Miss-Move-Stuff-With-My-Mind, why don't you just airlift us some food or something?"

The rest of the elevator ride down is spent by Thor, Tony, and Sigyn arguing about who will pay and where they want to go. Loki constantly looks like he wants to rip his ears off, so Sigyn sees it as an added bonus.

The satisfaction is wiped right off of Sigyn's face when one of the first things she sees when she steps off of the elevator is Alexander Pierce, Secretary of the World Council, and his gaggle of assistants and security. "May I ask you where you're going?"

Sigyn isn't the only one to seem off-put by the ma's presence because Thor steps out in front of them as if marking a defensive line. "To lunch and then Asgard. I'm sorry, you are?"

Tony also steps forward to meet the man, leaving only Sigyn and other SHIELD guards in line with Loki. "Alexander Pierce. He's the man, one of the folks behind Nick Fury." The prisoner takes notice of the seemingly outgoing Avenger growing quiet and hanging back at the sight of the Secretary.

"My friends call me Mr. Secretary." All backs go stiff at his words. This isn't going to go over well. "I'm gonna have to ask you to turn that prisoner over to me."

"Loki will be answering to Odin himself," insists Thor. Behind him, Loki rolls his eyes which Sigyn takes note of. She wants him to go wherever he least wants to go to and that seems like it would be Asgard. Nothing is quite like being told off by your parents.

Mr. Sectrtary doesn't seem to like the answer his 'friends' give him. "Oh, he's gonna answer to us. Odin can have what's left. And I'm gonna need that case. That's been SHIELD property for over 70 years."

"Hand over the case, Stark," insists one of Pierce's security agents.

"I'm not gonna argue who's got the higher authority here, all right?"

The two men begin to play tug of war with the case, trying to snatch it from one another's hands. Others begin to insert themselves as well, trying to break up the small spat or pull it closer to their side. Sigyn knows that she could easily pull the case towards her with her mind, and as much as she'd like to see 'Mr. Sectrtary' be pulled flat on his face, she knows it's best not to tempt SHEILD into wanting to lock her up again. Even though she knows Fury has a fondness for her, or rather her talents, he couldn't do much if the order came from above him.

Pierce yanks the case towards him but Stark doesn't let go, "I need the case."

"I know you got a lot of pull," says Stark, "I'm just saying..."

"Okay. Then give me the case."

"Get your hands off!" All of a sudden, Tony lets go of the case, clutching his chest as if he's been frozen.

Even though they were just fighting, Pierce voices his concern for the other man, "Stark?"

"Stark!" cries Thor, as they all seem to realize something is wrong.

In a sickening sight, Stark crumples to the ground, clutching his chest. Thor rushes towards his friend and Sigyn frantically whips her head around, searching for some sort of doctor or medic, "Look, he's convulsing. Give him air! Medic!"

Her racing heart nearly stops like Tony's has when she hears an all too familiar voice call out, "Medic you guys, some help!" Sigyn feels the ripples of emotion coming off of everyone in the room, and there are a few that just feel...out of place. Something is wrong. Very wrong. Sigyn turns back to stare at Loki and see if he had been imitating Stark, but the god only gives a shrug in reply. It wasn't him, but clearly, he's noticed something too.

The focus shifts from trying to find a medic to trying to find Tony, or the other Tony, whoever it was that the voice came from. Her eyes scan the room, trying to figure out where the imposter is while everyone flees from the Hulk rampaging about having to take the stairs.

She quickly turns back around to look at the real Tony who has a couple of doctors that are now only a few steps away.

But then something else feels wrong. A feeling pulses through the air, one that she recognized, mischief. Her eyes widen in realization.

Loki.

Sigyn spots the Tesseract somehow sliding across the floor and hit the god in the foot. Great. Not wanting to startle Loki and make him get violent again, Sigyn decides not to call out and alert him.

Luckily, Sigyn isn't that far away so she lunges for the stone, simultaneously pulling Loki closer to her with her powers since he has a death grip on the object. The next thing Sigyn knows is they both disappear into a cloud of blue light. Shit.

~~~~~~
Not realizing that his brother has disappeared, Thor still looms over his fallen friend, "You'll be fine, Stark. Stay with us! I'll try something, okay? I have no idea if it's gonna work." He charges up Moljnir and taps Tony's arc reactor lightly. Working as if it were a defibrillator, Tony finally starts to catch his breath. "Yes!"
"That worked a treat. That was so crazy," says Tony, clutching his chest and trying to work out what on earth just happened.
Thor laughs jovially, "I had no idea if that was gonna work."
Tony looks around for the case but finds no sight of it, "The case?"
"The case, it's uh...where's the case, Sigyn?" asks Thor. He turns around to see Sigyn no longer behind him where he thought she would be. Even worse, Loki is gone as well. Thor starts to put the pieces together in his mind, desperately hoping that it isn't true. "Where's Loki?"
No reply comes. No one can see him.
Tony stands up off of the ground, waving off those trying to help him up, "Where's Ginny?" He and Thor share a worried glance.
"Loki!" shouts Thor. Once again, there's no response. "Loki!"
