It was finally the lunch hour and I was glad, because I wanted to talk to my friends. During this hour Kevin met up with his friends so I didn't see him. I headed to the cafeteria and took a seat by Dawn.

"Hey, Serena" She said, her eyes following me as I sat down "How are things between you and Kevin?" I thought for a moment.

"Good. It's only been a month, though" I pointed out.

"Well that's good to hear. You need to spend more time with your girl friends though" Dawn frowned and I giggled.

"I will, I promise" This made Dawn smile.

"Well now you have promised, we are all going shopping this weekend, saturday" Dawn looked excited, she loved shopping too much.

"Sounds good" I began eating my lunch "Are the boys coming?" I thought about Ash in particular.

"Sure, I said we are all going. Is there a problem between you and Ash?" She looked over at Ash and I done the same. He was joking around and laughing.

"No. In fact he has changed a lot over the past month. I think it's a good thing" I gulped nervously. I still had feelings for Ash, but after this month they had started to die down.

"So do I" Iris butted in.

"Yeah, Ash is definitely immature now" May laughed as Misty nodded in agreement.

Immature wasn't the word I would use, he was just happier and enjoying himself. I smiled as I watch him and Dawn smirked.

"You still like him, don't you?" She whispered to me.

"I don't know.." I hesitated before whispering."I still have feelings for him, but being with Kevin is making me feel different. I don't want to create a love triangle"

"I don't think Ash does either. Why do you think he is making a change. Maybe he still feels the same way but he wants to hide it" Dawns words lingered in my head for a moment.

"Maybe you're right, but lets not get so hung up about it. We have a science test after lunch" I put my notes onto the table.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that" Dawn chuckled nervously.

"Dawn! If you fail you get a detention and have to redo it!" Iris exclaimed "Why do you think I have been studying so much?"

"I forgot. Anyway I have 15 minutes to study, I should get lucky" She sounded confident that she could do the test and pass by luck.

"It's only a detention. I have had a few and they are not bad" Misty sounded proud of herself.

May frowned "Don't sound so pleased, it effects your chances of getting into college. It goes on your person record"

Dawn looked more nervous now. She didn't want anything bad on her record.

"Don't worry. We will all pass the test. If it is stuff we learnt recently then it should be easy" I tried to encourage everyone.

"Thanks, Serena" Dawn smiled and everyone gave a nod in agreement. Looks like we was all confident now.

"Dawn" I heard a voice and turned around, seeing Ash stood behind us.

Dawn turned and tilted her head a little "Hmm? Ash?" She asked.

"I just came to tell you I will be late on saturday, I'll be meeting you guys in mcdonalds, I have to meet someone first" He looked like he was hiding something, but what?

"That's ok. Thanks for telling me" Dawn turned back and Ash nodded.

"Girls" He said, before returning to his seat.

"He is definitely hiding something" Dawn instantly commented.

"I bet he is" Iris, May and Misty said in unison. They all looked at each other and began giggling at the fact they said the same thing at the same time.

"Guess we wont find out. Yet" I was determined to find out and there was one person in the school that would know.

"I'll see you in the test" I got up from my seat, placing my notes into my bag. I put my bag on and turned.

"Where are you going Serena?" Dawn wondered.

I turned my head to face her "To find out what's going on" I headed to the boys and tapped Cilan on the shoulder.

"A moment please?" I asked, trying to not sound too investigative.

"Sure" He got up and put his bag on, then followed me.

"What is it?" Cilan sounded concerned.

"To put it plainly, I want to know what Ash is hiding. Why is he meeting us late on saturday?" I looked concerned back at Cilan "Please tell me"

He hesitated, before retiring to a whisper "He is meeting Calem. Apparently some sort of meeting with Calems old friends. I think it spells trouble, the wrong crowd"

"Definitely, Calem used to smoke as far as I am aware. I remember one night last year he was walking down the same street as me with his hood up and he told me to leave" I wondered about what this meant for Ash.

"What are you going to do?" It was Calems turn to ask for something.

"Where are they meeting?" I wanted to know desperately.

"Don't answer my question with a question" Cilan said as the bell rang.

"We don't have time" I began to get impatient "Urgh, I am going to get Ash and pull him out of there"

"They are meeting at the abandoned garage" Calem rubbed his chin as we headed to the hall for our test "Why do you want to do this?"

"Ash shouldn't be mixing with that crowd. You know that as much as I do" I left the other bit of information to myself.

I wanted to protect Ash, I cared about him still. I wasn't about to let him change for the worst.
