(Ash)

Math dragged on for what felt like a century. I was sure I fell asleep a few times.

"Ash. Need I remind your in a class room" Mr. Oak made me jump up. I had fallen asleep, again. This caused a few people to snicker, they found it funny I was asleep. I didn't really care, though.

"Sorry sir" I leaned back on my chair and rubbed my eyes. The bell rang at that moment and I almost jumped out of my seat.

"Class dismissed, make sure your homework is done" Mr. Oak turned to me "A word, please Ash"

As soon as the door shut I started explaining "I am sorry sir, I got no sleep last night and-" I looked at  my teacher and shut my mouth.

"It's ok, as long as you promise to not do it again"

I nodded "Yes sir, I promise"

"Good" Mr. Oak looked satisfied "Off you go then"

I instantly headed to my science class. A lucky escape from a detention or something. I walked into science and had to explain to Professor Sycamore why I was late.

"Sorry sir" I felt like this was a repeating pattern today "Mr. Oak wanted to speak to me"

"That's ok, Ash" Professor smiled "Please, take your seat"

I sat down with the others as the lesson dragged on.

"Hey, Cilan" I whispered as the teacher walked out for a second.

"Hmm?" He said, still focused on his work.

"I heard there is meatballs for lunch today" This peaked Cilans interest. Meatballs were his favourite.

"Really?" He looked up and I nodded.

"Apparently someone looked at the menu this morning, behind the counter" I spoke almost out loud as the professor walked in.

"Ash" He warned "Work"

"Oh...sorry sir" I said awkwardly, putting my head down to work.

Science ended the same way, Prof. Sycamore asked me to stay behind.

"I know it was only one time, but you showed up late and then interrupted the lesson. Please make sure it doesn't happy again" I felt like I was in math again.

I let out a sigh "Sorry, sir" I said for the millionth time. Today wasn't going well.

(Serena)

I was sure Kevin was in my cooking class, yet I couldn't find him. I will have to tell him at lunch I suppose. Dawn stepped up beside me while i was preparing my ingredients.

"Sooooo...How is things with kevin?" She said over my shoulder.

"Ok...I guess" I facepalmed in my head. I was so hesitant and Dawn picked up on it.

"What's wrong?" She stepped to my side and I turned to her.

"The truth is... I think it's time" I tried to make it sound obvious without giving it away to any eavesdroppers.

"Time for what?" She looked at me like I was stupid.

"I am done with a break. I know what I want to do now, Dawn" Dawn smiled as she picked up on what I was saying.

"So, you are going to ask him?" Dawn asked "What about Kevin?"

"I need to speak to him still" I looked awkwardly around "I feel a little bad"

"Don't. You gave him his chance" Dawn tried to convince me. I nodded, I guess she was kind of right after all.

"That's the spirit" Dawn moved away again and went to her station. I went over what I was going to say in my head. I hoped Kevin was in school today.

The bell rang for lunch and I raced away from class, heading to the cafeteria. Cilan rocketed past me.

"Can't stop, meatballs!" He said excitedly, disappearing down the corridor. I slowly walked down the same way. The cafeteria was busy, making it hard to see. I spotted Kevin with his friends and calmly walked over.

"You can do this, Serena.." I said to myself.

I stopped as Kevin saw me. He walked over with a smile "Hey babe" I almost cringed at his words.

"Please don't call me that" I spoke quietly "We need to talk, Kevin"

"It sounds to me like you are breaking up with me" Kevin sounded hurt yet not phased by my words.

"I'm sorry Kevin. I realised what I actually want after these 2 months. I hope we can be friends" I felt a little awkward.

"Listen" Kevin put his hand on my shoulder "It's ok. We had a fun time and I will be glad to be your friend" He smiled at me and I smiled a little and nodded.

"Thanks" I turned and then looked back "See you around" I finished, before walking off. I headed to my friends. It was time to tell Ash how I felt all over again.

Over the next few days/week I am taking a break from writing. I am going to write a few more chapters tonight that I will publish through the week so don't worry ;)
