Chapter 4 - Today is yesterdays tomorrow (Ash)
A few weeks ago, try outs for the basketball team had started. The state league wasn't starting until next month so they kept everyone on trial.
Basketball thoughts aside, it was a week after our little meet up in the park. After that day I knew I needed to talk to Serena. She acted strangely all day and left early. Something was 100% wrong with her, it couldn't be so bad that she had to avoid me, right?
The mid afternoon sunlight was met with a cold autumn breeze, mixing two different seasons together.
I sat at my desk with a pen in my hand. Math was still the toughest subject in my life. I impatiently tapped my pen on the end of my chin, finding myself unable to produce an answer to any question.
I spent the whole time thinking of why Serena was so distant. I guess I had to find out.
I walked over to her house. Her moms car was gone, so she was alone. I knocked on the door and waited for a moment.
I swear her face dropped when she saw me. I thought nothing of it and stepped inside.
(Serena)
"Serena I want a full answer. Why have you been acting so strange?" Ash looked for the answer in my eyes, but they began to produce tears. My eyes had gone red as I explained everything on that stupid night. That one stupid mistake. Ash looked like I had grabbed a gun and shot him through the heart. Suddenly, he looked down and clenched his fists so tight he began to shake. I wasn't sure if but he looked like he was about to grow about 10ft higher and turn green. I stood there, surrounded by my own tears.
"How long did you kiss him for?" He said through gritted teeth.
"W-what?" I said confused.
He span and slammed a fist on the side "HOW LONG SERENA?!" He shouted at the top of his voice. I gulped nervously and spoke weakly.
"One-one min-minute" I sniffled in my emotional state. Ash had heard enough and began to leave.
"Wait! ASH! Please!" I begged.
He turned with fire in his eyes, eyes that could kill.
"No, Serena. We're finished" He slammed the door shut and ran down the road.

Blinded by rage and sadness, I ran at full speed to Calems house. As soon as he opened the door, I grabbed his collar and launched him onto the ground.
I wreslted on top of him and began constantly pounding down on his face with both hands.
"WHAT"
"DID"
"I"
"SAY"
"WOULD HAPPEN?!"
I shouted each word after a punch. By now, Calems face was red with blood.
"Let this remind you of last year, Calem, revenge"
I was still enraged so I span around.
"I will get my revenge for you ruining my life, just you wait, 'buddy'"
I took off down the street and looked down all the way, concealing my face of anger and sadness. A tear crept down my face and landed on one of my now bruised and cut hands. Once I got home I wrapped them both in bandages and kept my gloves on to hide them.
Then, I cried into my pillow for hours on end. Everything was ruined. My life in Vaniville, my relationship. My friends. I wanted to move away forever, but it wasn't that simple.
I will forget about you Serena. The present is the futures past and we are told to forget the past.
Today...
Is yesterdays tomorrow.
