Personally, last chapter was my favourite chapter. To write and then read. I love it :P

Another year, another last day of summer break. Sitting on my bed and reliving the whole year. So much trouble. Yet so many amazing moments to cherish. High school has been the best moments of my life. Besides making new friends, I have made new enemies. I have also found the one.

Serena. Just thinking of her name makes me feel warm inside. She is the most beautiful thing in the world. This whole 'friends' situation makes me uneasy. Everytime trouble arrives we end up on the other side, together. I just hope that Serena finds it in her heart and realizes what I am to her. A friend? A lover? To me, Serena is my future wife and only love. I want my life to be with her.

My heart is on its last string. It can't hold for long. Who knows when me and Serena will talk about it. About us.

Moving to the window ledge, I take off the picture of us on holiday.

The best week of my life. All because it was with you, Serena. Every kiss, hug and every time we helx hands it made me realize that the world is nothing without you.

One day, I want to get on my knee's and say, will you marry me?

One day, you will say yes. I swear my life on this moment.

I shook my head, stop it Ash. You're over thinking the situation. Just friends. Think about it and realize what the is going on now, not before or later. Remember that today is yesterday's tomorrow and move forward with determination. Remember. I laughed a little in my head. Just friends.

I got up and went downstairs for dinner. I kept a smile on my face, motivated by my own words.

"Hey, Ash. How are you feeling?" My Mom was already eating. She knew about the whole situation.

"I am feeling great" I paused for a moment and sighed "I'm ok I guess" I began messing with the food on my plate.

"I am sure everything will be fine. Sometimes, love at your age can be a confusing thing to handle, you will realize what you want in time" I smiled at my Mom, she was always so encouraging.

"You know how to make me feel better, thanks Mom" I began eating and she gave a gentle laugh.

"You're growing up to fast, 16 in a few weeks"

I nodded. I was one of the oldest in school, my birthday wasn't far off.

"Anyway, Mom I am going to stay in my room. I'll see you in the morning" I went to go upstairs and my Mom spoke.

"Have a good night. But, Ash. Remember what I said. Don't be upset" She smiled again and I nodded with determination.

I was going to get through this and come out of the other side stronger.

I spent a few hours on the computer, before collapsing into bed. Tomorrow was the start of our third year and a fresh start for me. I slept the night away, ready to start a new year.

'Friends?'

Just friends...

I am so excited to start on book three.

What will become of Ash and Serena?

Will this drive them apart or bring them closer in the end?
